Mirri was found after being abandoned on the side of the road. She was taken in by urgent Foster’s who quickly fell in love and adopted her. She now lives with two other dogs and is the sweetest and most loving dog despite her background. When she was found, it was clear she had something wrong with her hind legs. After multiple vet visits, she was found to have Grade IV patellar luxation in both hind legs likely from being kept in a kennel unable to move her legs enough to grow properly. She is now waiting on further testing and surgery at the University of Florida animal hospital. Despite the difficulties in her hind legs, her puppy energy shines. She loves to play with her siblings and toys as well as snuggling in bed after her parents moved the bed to floor for her to join. She sits like a frog and is always close near her parents and her siblings at home. The surgery needed for Mirri’s legs is an extensive cost with the need of testing and speciality surgeons. Mirri pulled on our heart the second we saw her and we had to give her a safe home but the surgery she needs is more than we had thought with the unexpected adoption.

Sam and his brother Milo came into our lives 4 months ago at 8 weeks of age. After my husband's cancer diagnosis, I needed a reason for him to get up in the morning and fight and that reason was those two golden retrievers. To watch him play with them, train them, walk with them, brings so much joy. They are his best buddies. Like all puppies, Sam loves to chew on anything but after 24 hours of vomiting we took him to VEG, Veterinary Emergency Group in Hendersonville, NC. He had a glove stuck in his small intestine and required emergency surgery. Post-op he developed an intussusception. We were told our options were a second surgery or put him to sleep. So second surgery it was. Bill is now over $17,000. Of the two of them, Sam is the more adventurous, loves to go exploring and the much more independent. He loved his first snow and loves playing in our creek but what he especially loves is playing with and cuddling with his brother. Or cuddling in my husband's lap while getting pets. If you dare stop petting him. He nudges your hand with his muzzle to keep going. He's not done yet even if you are We are both retired and on a fixed income, social security. While we have excellent health insurance for my husband, we did not have any pet insurance and this is an expense that is very hard to bear. Sam is so worth it but I am so worried.

Mojo is my beloved rescue Pug, & I am currently struggling to get her healthy yet again. Two months ago, I bought some ostrich skin chews, but upon seeing their long, stringy filaments, I decided they were unsafe. I wrapped them up to return & put on my desk. She managed to get to them while I was gone. In just 30 min. she ate them entirely and has had diarrhea and vomiting ever since. I've tried various gentle foods to try to calm her but nothing has worked. I tried graphing her meals to see what might be food causes. She has taken to eating grass. We now need to test for parasites & bacteria like Salmonella or Cryptosporidium that the ostrich treat may have introduced. Due to similar symptoms between us, I am also being tested by an ID (infectious disease) doctor. Mojo is usually very attentive & active, but lately, she just mopes & lays around. She is a brave girl who deserves to get back to her happy, energetic self & continue being the best friend I could ask for. Diarrhea for 2 months is unacceptable & as I've had the same symptoms for even longer than her, we need to see if there is a connection. There may be a ZOONOTIC (shared) cause. The images show what is happening on a daily basis. The hospital wants cash in advance. I'm living on Social Security & won't have anything until Apr 10. Mojo will have to suffer until then because of the hospital financial rules. We both need treatment at the same time. TY.

My name is Josh Frazier and my 12-year-old service dog's name is Natalia Marie. Natalia came into my life in 2014 at a time when I was at my absolute lowest. I was homeless strung out on meth why variety of other drugs. She saved me from homelessness and drug use and we are currently living in a transitional living facility waiting for permanent housing. She's the light of my life My whole world! We were walking at Golden gate Park in San Francisco when I decided to let her run in one of the big open fields we decided to play fetch I threw the stick a second time she ran after it got about 30 ft away from me yelped rolled and couldn't walk back to me went to the vet paid out of pocket $1,200 which was everything I had and now we're looking at a $8,000 plus orthopedic surgery bill. My Natalia Marie is extremely special because she saw something in me that changed my life she saved me from homelessness she saved me from drug addiction and without this dog I would still be homeless on the streets and addicted to drugs she's helped me get clean and sober and has helped me through my first semester of college without her I don't know where I would be with my life she's my child! I live on SSI food stamps and financial aid from school so having to pay $8,000 plus surgery is not feasible on my income. What the help of my internet family my service dog will be able to walk and play and live our best life! Even a dollar would mean the world to us thanks

A Pathway to Hope recently took in this determined boy Bingo. Can you help us protect Bingo’s beautiful heart as he prepares for heartworm treatment and an eye specialist consultation? Every morning, Bingo wakes up with his tail wagging, excited for the day ahead. He has no idea he lives his life a little different than most pups. Bingo may be deaf and visually impaired, but you would never know it from the way he greets each new day. After just one week in his foster home, he had already figured out the layout of the house and confidently made himself part of the pack. With the help of his foster mom and his canine siblings, this incredibly smart boy has learned how to navigate his world with confidence. He’s proving to the world that minimal use of his eyes and ears is no big deal. He is crate trained, potty trained, and absolutely loves other dogs. Bingo enjoys walks with his foster sister, playful wrestling with his foster siblings, and most of all snuggling close to his people. Touch is Bingo’s love language, and he always wants to know his humans are nearby so personal space is non existent with him! While Bingo is thriving in foster care, he does have some medical challenges ahead. Bingo tested positive for heartworm, which means he will begin the long process of treatment. He is also scheduled to see an eye specialist to better understand his visual impairment. What we know now is that his eyes appear to not be fully developed. Despite these challenges, Bingo is full of joy and love. He plays and explores with everyone around him just like any other dog. Heartworm treatment, specialist visits, and medical care can be expensive, which is why your help is imperative. Bingo may need a little extra guidance navigating the world, but his heart is full of love, and he’s ready to concur the journey ahead.

Rori is a 13 year old Welsh Terrier in Annandale , VA, who needs $1,500 for Minor Internal bleeding/ Inflammation.

Rori has been in my live since she was a small puppy, and is the sweetest dog imaginable. She loves her family, playing ball, and loves having freedom to roam in her backyard. Rori is a terrier who loves to explore, she found a small crevice in the fence, to which she was running around and unfortunately got clipped by a car. She visually looks okay, but she broke her fibula in her back right leg, and is suffering from minor internal bleeding. She is healing very well at Pender Vet, and is walking around and active already. She is a key member of our family, she is beloved by everyone she encounters including the staff at Pender, because she has the sweetest personality. She loves playing ball or chase with other dogs, and loves to get pats from family. I am a 22 year old full time college student at VT Arlington, and I don’t have the funds locked away to help save her life and give her the care she needs. It would break my heart to have to surrender her to the County, but right now I don’t have a lot of options.

Hi my name is Erica, My dogs name is Amos. He came into my life recently it's only been 2 months but I had to have him. Let me tell you why from the beginning. My 2 chihuahuas were both in their early 20's when they passed away, My family and I gave them the best years of their lives. We were all so heartbroken and did not want any other animals in our life at all. But then came Amos. Amos was a rescue 2x over, Both previous owners loved him dearly but their work schedules left Amos alone most of the time.I saw this and my heart broke when I heard him whining for attention. I love animals and he felt like a blessing in disquise.I would go home hearing his pitiful cries and my heart yearned daily to rescue him.Was I equipped to handle a big dog,No but my heart was. So I did.❣️ The day I brought him home was like bringing home a baby. He was so excited to be out his cage and able to freeroam the house. Jumping on couches and beds and seeing he was allowed to explore made my heart happy.He is so nosy we say cause he always dips his head into every bag that he's near. So full of curiosity and affection. He's very vocal also when he wants something or needs to go out. I've been able to care for him pretty well so far but there is something pressing at the moment. He needs dental cleaning under anesthesia. He is showing signs of gum disease and refuses his kibble and now is on a soft food meal plan. I just want to give him a longer life.

How did Walker come into my life? I was out of state for a work trip and saw a post of farm puppies for sale with this photo of an oversized few week old brown lab mix, baby blue eyes, tounge sticking out with a blade of grass stuck to it. From that moment, I knew that he would be going home with me. His personality captured my heart then and there. Walker has always been a very healthy boy. Recently, a mass has been growing in his mouth. In January, it was just a small white bump. After noticing rough, painful panting, I checked again and was shocked—it has doubled in size and now has multiple white bumps. We are seeking treatment at Peterson Pet Vet Hospital (Hiawatha, IA). Estimated treatment is roughly $1,500. He’s often described as having a “larger-than-life personality” and being “the biggest baby.” At 100 lbs, he still thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves playing with dogs and people of all ages, enjoys cuddling, or hanging at the dog park munching leaves by the fence. His thunderous bark shows excitement—but he’s truly scared of his own shadow. In my eyes, I don’t have “dogs,” but “boys.” They’re truly the best part of my life. After losing one just a year ago, we’re only now starting to recover financially—making it hard to take on this new challenge.

Rusty was attacked (unprovoked) by a younger pit mix dog on my property.he has multiple deep laceration and a broken lower leg that will need surgery. Rusty learned how to speak when he was about 5 months old. He says yes, I love you, and noooo. He loves squeaking his lamb chop dolls. Rusty always gives me a hug when I come home. I recently had to euthanize my sick 10 year old cat and I still owe $230 for that bill. I was in a car accident at the end of January and lost work due to having 5 broken ribs. I really want Rusty to get the best care possible so he will be with me for years to come.
