Beau is our 8-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, and he has been part of our family since the day he was born. He is our goofy, gentle giant, loyal to his core, and truly the dog that completes our family. With us since before our kids came along, Beau has grown right alongside us through every stage of life. If Beau is awake, he is nearby. If he is resting, he is usually flopped onto his back, insisting on belly rubs or bum scratches, completely convinced that this is the most important task at hand. He offers constant love, quiet companionship, and a steady presence that anchors our family. He is not just a pet. He is family. In 2022, Beau was diagnosed with both Addison’s disease and hypothyroidism. Since then, it has been a long and careful journey to dial in the right balance of medications to keep him stable and healthy. These conditions require ongoing monitoring and frequent adjustments, as his needs can change over time. Along the way, we have managed weight fluctuations, muscle loss, hair loss, digital cysts, and skin thinning. Thankfully, Beau has been on the right track recently, but maintaining that balance requires expensive routine care every month, and we are already at the limit of what we can afford just to keep him stable. Over the last month, Beau has also been battling a stubborn ear infection. Despite weeks of treatment, just two days before Christmas he developed an ear hematoma as a complication. While we caught it early and he is not in severe pain yet, his appetite has been inconsistent, and we know this condition will worsen if left untreated. Our veterinarian has advised that surgery is the best course of action, as simply draining the hematoma would likely result in it returning and could eventually cause permanent complications. Beau is under the care of Stowe Veterinary Clinic, and the recommended plan includes surgery to remove the hematoma, along with bloodwork to ensure his Addison’s and thyroid levels remain stable. Dr. Greg is optimistic that Beau should recover well from this surgery, and we are hopeful this will be the only procedure needed for this particular issue. The estimated cost for this treatment is at least $1,000, though we do not yet have the final bill. Coming immediately after Christmas, on top of Beau’s already significant and ongoing medical expenses, this has created a financial barrier we are struggling to overcome. Without assistance, we will have no choice but to take on additional credit card debt just to keep up with his care. What has been hardest emotionally is the fear that we will not be able to continue providing the routine care Beau depends on to stay healthy. We love him deeply, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to give him the life he deserves. Asking for help is not easy, but it means the chance to get him the care he needs now, before his condition worsens, and to keep our beloved dog with us for as long as possible. Our hope is simple. To give Beau a long, comfortable life filled with belly rubs, family time, and the love he gives us so freely every day. What a wild rollercoaster the last 3 days have been. My lil buddy wasn't feeling well on Christmas Eve so we took him in to see the vet. It was decided that he would need surgery to have bladder stones removed. Friday morning he went in for surgery. After a long stressful day of waiting we were able to go pick him up and get him home. Within a few hours we noticed that things didn't seem right. We rushed him to the nearest emergency vet in the middle of the night. The staff there was great. They quickly identified the few possibilities that the problem could be. They determined that the care he would need may be beyond their capabilities and recommended that we take him to Gainesville if we wanted the best chance at saving him. Without hesitation we hauled ass to the University Of Florida's School of Vetenarian. They hopped into action quickly and immediately went to work to identify the problem. Here we are 2 sleepless days later. A few hard battles later. Multiple trips back and forth from Jax to Gainesville later. An unimaginable bill later and he's still fighting. My lil guy is fighting so hard. He's won a couple battles and he's also had a few set backs. We remain hopeful he's going to get through all of this and get back home to his family next week. My heart hurts. My stomach hurts. My eyes hurt, but my buddy hasn't given up and neither am I 😔 Please buddy, please pull through this and get back home 😭 On Christmas Eve we took him in to a local vet for an examination. It was determined that he would need a cystotomy and potentially a urethrotomy along with neutering. He ended up receiving both. After recovery, we were able to pick him up but quickly realized something was wrong. At the emergency vet, he received additional staples to the incision. Once at The University of Florida, they placed a red rubber catheter, upon waking up from anesthesia his blood pressure crashed. After stabilization he was taken for emergency ct scans. It was determined that the knot from the neutering procedure had unraveled, causing internal bleeding. The bleeding has clotted and remained stable. He is now scheduled for another cystotomy, clot removal and knot fix and potentially a scrotal urethrostomy if the urethra is damaged to the point of needing to be salvaged. We are now approximately at 20k total. We have exhausted cash and financed the rest. It will be extremely difficult to make these payments. We are praying for any kind of relief possible, but will find a way no matter what. We are absolutely devastated, but extremely hopeful in a happy ending.

My name is Grace, and I’m raising funds for my dog, Bonnie—my best friend and constant source of joy—who was recently hit by a car. Bonnie is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere she goes. She’s hyper, endlessly sweet, and always wagging her tail, ready to love anyone who gives her a moment of attention. Seeing her hurt and unable to be her happy, energetic self has been absolutely heartbreaking. After the accident, Bonnie’s injuries became clear very quickly. Her leg is swollen and she’s in pain, and she needs medical care at Family Animal Hospital in Friendswood, Texas. The veterinarians there can help her heal, but due to personal and financial hardships I’m currently facing, I simply can’t afford the procedures and diagnostics she needs on my own. I’ve been doing everything I can to comfort her, but it hurts knowing that love alone isn’t enough to take away her pain. This big guy loves to run, but sadly that’s been put on pause due to animal abuse. The day after Christmas, he needed emergency surgery on his T9 and T10 discs. Because of the holiday weekend, we had to drive an hour away to find a clinic that could take X-rays and provide the care he needed. He’s now recovering from surgery, and life has changed quite a bit for all of us. Our sweet boy has lost mobility in his back legs and needs help expressing his bladder, so we’re taking time off work to be home with him and give him the care he deserves. We’re praying that with therapy, patience, and all the love we can give, he’ll continue to heal and regain strength. Meet Frank. He was found trying to cross a busy street in a really bad part of town here in Houston. Dogs in that area suffer from dog fighting, owners in ability to care for them, or injuries through no fault of their own. There are days I wish dogs could speak so I knew their story and there are days. I’m glad they don’t. I have been rescuing and fostering for over 10 years and every dog that comes into my life tells a different story through their eyes. Frank has nothing but love towards people. He has been kind with my dogs and my two cats and has been particularly sweet about anyone touching his foot and very easily, letting the vet x-ray and manipulate it. I normally take in hospice and medical rescues and do so gladly. I am happy to keep Frank, but I need to ensure that as a young puppy, he is able to live on that foot with a good quality of life. friends, as many of you know, I am a huge animal lover and my pets mean the world to me. My sweet 1-year-old Rottweiler, Keziah, is the heart of our home. She’s always been playful, happy, and full of energy—her love for life is contagious. Recently, while playing as she always does, Keziah injured her eye. At first, the vets were hopeful that her eye could be saved, but after several visits and treatments, they now recommend that her eye be removed to prevent further pain and complications. My ❤️ is broken and real scared. This news has been heartbreaking for us. Keziah is still her joyful self, but as her owners, we are facing an extremely tight financial crisis. The cost of the surgery is more than we can manage on our own right now, even after talking with friends and family for help. We want to do everything possible we can, that is why I am here, to try and make sure Keziah gets the care she needs so she can continue to live her best life, even with one eye.
