Cash

Cash is a 4 Year Old Dachshund in savannah, GA, Who Needs $9,000 for Condylar Fracture Left Leg.

savannah, GA

I adopted Cash about 3 years ago after my dog of twelve years had passed. He looks just like my Bruce who passed away, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to him. He was mischievous at first, jumped on counters, stole food, chewed, and barked constantly. My husband and I quickly came to love him as he loves our autistic son deeply. He is now the heart beat of our family! Friday, November 28th Cash broke his front left leg when our lab ran him over rushing to go outside. We rushed him to SVEC at 6:30pm. Due to cost, I opted to bring him back home for the weekend with pain medication until I could bring him back at 5am on Monday, December 1st until they could transfer him to Blue Pear, their surgery provider. Cash is incredibly special because he loves with my autistic son. He tries to sleep in his room every night. He puts up with every loud noise, all the spins, tight hugs, and the cat who loves to torment him. He loves to snuggle and sleep under the covers against my leg. He is a fierce protector of my son and doesn't let anyone in between him and my son. He's also a great little watch dog! This is definitely an unexpected pricy expense of possibly $9000. I've spent $2,400 this weekend. Cash means everything to my 6 year old. This is his first pet and I want him to be around for years to come. I want him to grow up having Cash as a loyal companion.

Finn

Finn is a 9 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever in Harrisburg , PA, who needs $2,000 for Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery.

Harrisburg, PA

I was blessed almost 10 years ago with a four-legged fur baby. I honestly was not looking for a dog at the time, but they say love finds you when you least expect it. Being a puppy mill rescue, Finn has had a challenging start. 5way booster shot almost killed him, to hip dysplasia diagnoses at 5 months old. To hip surgery at 7months old. To now diabetic cataracts and loss of vision Finn was diagnosed with Diabetic Cataracts in October of this year. How quickly his vision has deteriorated is heartbreaking. After his diagnoses, We went to Animal Vision Center Of Virgina. After a 6 hour drive on way, blood work and eye test and exams. He was cleared as a perfect candidate to reverse his loss of eyesight. He is Scared all the time, Depressed and not his fun loving self. I have been blessed to have this soul in my life. He has changed me for the better. Reminds me to enjoy life and to stop and smell the flowers once in a while. Anyone that has had the chance to know him all agree, He is like a ball of sunshine when he walks into a room. Loving, Playful, just one of the sweetest souls I have ever met. Closing my business was losing my income. Trying to find a job with a scared blind dog is almost impossible. Helping Finn to see again will give him his spark back. Giving him a chance at a happy life. Being able to play, and just see my face would mean the world.

Rosie

Rosie is a 2 Year Old Mix-Breed in Dearborn, MI, Who Needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusions.

Dearborn, MI

Rosie is a rescue dog we adopted from Rebel Dogs Detroit and she has been with us since she was a pup. We adopted her on January 15, 2024 (my daughter Isabelle’s birthday) and in her very short life our sweet Rosie has been through so much. Rosie is a Pitbull Terrier, Bulldog, Shar Pei mix and is the sweetest girl. Just before her first birthday, Rosie was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Masticatory Myositis. This is a disease where her body attacks its own muscles in the mouth and the face. She began the treatment of high dose steroids to combat the disease. A month ago she was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease caused by the steroid. Wednesday Rosie went into the emergency vet for bleeding. We like to tease that she is an “emotional support dog” for our true emotional support veterans assist dog, Hoyt. Hoyt and Rosie are so wonderful together and she has been such a special addition to our family. With this new potential diagnosis of Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia and her platelets being at zero on Wednesday...we were devastated and at a loss as to how we could not help her. With our Veteran's Assist Dog Hoyt injured in April and having to have a herniated disc repaired in one area and a second site that was hemorrhaging, we have still not financially recovered. Add in my brother-in-law's recent open heart surgery, we are overwhelmed.

Ruby

Ruby is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Topeka, , who needs $2,000 for desoxycorticosterone pivalate (DOCP).

Topeka

December 2024 a tiny shelter dog walked straight to me, climbed into my lap, and melted against my chest like she’d finally found home. Ruby chose me that day, and I’ve been trying to deserve her ever since. She’s pure joy—goofy, cuddly, loving every soul she meets. In less than a year she’s become my heartbeat. My sweet girl has so many more walks to take and toys to chase. Veterinary medical surgical hospital has been working diligently to help Ruby. She was diagnosed with Addisons disease. Shots are around $200 every 25 days. Her high dose medications also lead her to pancreatitis. So far we are at around $7,000 in vet bills and still going. This will be an ongoing battle for the rest of her life and I’m seeking help to provide this for her. Ruby is so loved by anyone who meets her. She always has a toy next to her. She can run around the back yard for hours chasing toys and rabbits. She loves splashing around in her baby pool and the hose. She will roll around in the grass on a beautiful day for hours. Her soft sighs as she melts into my arms at night is the best ending to every single day. I’m a single 23 year old female who works full time. Having Ruby by my side makes the hard days easier. We haven’t had enough time together. We still have so many more adventures ahead. Anything helps, having my baby girl around longer truly means everything to me.
