Dakota is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees in Matthews, NC, who needs $9,500 for TPLO & Patella Luxation Surgery.

Two and a half years ago this bouncy puppy with big paws, big ears, and lots of love to give. Being mostly Great Pyrenees, he grew very large very quickly. We did all the right things, food and treats specially made for giant breed dogs. He lives inside the house and has been shown nothing but lots of love. A month ago Dakota started limping on one back leg. At first we thought he may have laid on it wrong or had strained it somehow. When we did not see any improvement, we went to our vet at Indian Trail Animal Hospital. We paid for the orthopedic x-ray, under sedation, which was not cheap. The vet advised both ACL’s were blown in his back legs, and on the left leg, the knee cap is out of place. The only option for him is surgery, which will completely fix both legs permanently. Unfortunately, the left leg will cost 5200, and is the most urgent one. The other one, slightly less. Already he has a hard time sitting, getting up and walking. He has started dragging his back end and we are so afraid he will lose all of his mobility soon. Unfortunately, my job of 20 years won’t be here in 6 months. The company was acquired by another company and we are closing our doors. There is no way we can afford to pay 9k-10k for the surgery. It breaks my heart to think of putting him down when it is a fixable proble.

Hopper came to from a family friend. he gave me hopper about 2 or 3 years ago. his name is hopper bc when he was little he hopped around like a bunny. I was told that when he was little he was locked in a cage most of his life. When I got him his hair was so long he couldn’t see and the harness he was wearing was matted to his fur. So we got him cleaned up and hes the best he’s attached to me. After awhile of having him he had his first seizure. I wasn’t sure what was causing It. I thought maybe it was low blood sugar so I gave him some sugar water on his gums but that didn’t seem like it was helping. But a while later I moved in with my boyfriend and he had another one. Now he’s having them about 1or 2 ever couple weeks or so. We have 3 other dogs their bigger dogs and hopper is little but he still love to play with them. But hopper is like emotionally attached to me. He follows me everywhere I go. If I leave the house he will sit on the back of the couch and he will whine and watch the window to look for me. And when I get home he waits for me at the door and jump all over me when I walk in. I don’t get paid a lot and I’m trying to get hopper to the vet to see why he’s having seizures and if there’s a way to help him. I don’t want him to get worse. I’ve tried care credit and scratch pay it all says I’m not eligible. I just wanna help him get better.

Daisy came to us about 4 years ago via our daughter who was struggling to get her treated for an obstruction in her intestines - we got it removed, but after the surgery, Daisy lost function in her right front leg and it had to be amputated. Now she has a detached tendon in left front leg's elbow and can no longer use it. So she is now a two-legged cat. She has a detached/mineralized tendon in her remaining one front leg's elbow and the leg is lame. Veterinary Referral Surgical Practice in Woodstock, GA is going to do surgery to repair it, scheduled for tomorrow, 4/15/2026. The cost will be $7,000 - 8,000. Daisy and our one-eyed cat, Mike, have been bonded ever since we rescued Mike last year. Mike has stuck by Daisy wherever she is laying, and he, like us, would be heartbroken if Daisy weren't around. He and we desperately want her to be able to get around again so they can play together again. The cost of $7,000-8,000 will put us into debt, and we already paid $6,000 to have her other leg amputated. We have four other cats of our own to care for along with five foster cats, four of which we cover all the costs for. Daisy is worth it, but debt will be tough.

Meet Lily! A sweet 10 yr old I took in to foster 5 days ago. She was just 24 hours from being taken to our Humane Society. Her parents are in their 80s, got evicted from their home of 38 years, and forced to live in their car for several days. They got accepted into Independent Living but could only take one dog. They made the difficult decision to keep their senior Pomeranian, an amputee. She is in need of grooming, and upon giving her a trim to relieve her bottom of matts, we found what looks to be a cyst or infection on her back. She is 10-15 pounds overweight, and has a concerning deep cough, as I have a dog who will be 13 on April 29th. I don’t know if she’s contagious. She is overdue on her annual exam. We do however, have the same Vet~Fairchild Animal Hospital..Danville, ILL. Lily is a sweetie, gentle, & hasn’t growled or even got snippy one time. My dog & cat act like she’s been with us as long as they have..almost 13 years now, lol. She loves my 24 year old daughter already, & my best friend’s 2 young great-nephews. She loves to grab at her leash & chew on it as you’re walking her. Of course she’s grieving..pacing a lot, not sleeping much, and whimpering. Poor baby I am on Total Disability due to health issues, and past serious complications including a stroke and seizures. My income is very limited compared to my 23-year career in Pharmacy. I love fur babies, and always try to step in to help when I can.

Jai was a rescue at the CACC who was adopted in 2023 at the age of 2 years old. Due to her beautiful color she was overbred. This had left her with issues trusting others but since being adopted has learned to love and trust again become an ESA living in a dorm with a college student. With her trauma being used for breeding, upon adoption she was immediately spayed. This may have left unknown complications leading her to need emergency abdominal surgery in 2023. In her proccess of learning to trust and love again she gain a bit separation anxiety. She recently broke her tooth as she bit her crate and its caused a burden on her ability to have fun. Jai is a friendly and excited dog who loves meeting new people, she will walk up to anyone for pets. She does a phenomenal job at emotional supporting her owner as well as giving all her love to those she meets along the way. She is a playful and happy dog who loves a good adventure. I am currently a full time college student, and working 2 part time jobs. As i am stuggling to secure stable housing for me and my esa this addition has burdened us my immensely. She is my and my bestfriend who accompanies me nearly everywhere, and i hate to see her in pain.

My cat pumpkin was picked from the animal shelter by my brother when she was just a kitten. She had a prolapsed anus and would need surgery. My brother even though he was young wanted to adopt pumpkin because he knew she needed help; he sadly passed away a few years later, but this cat has been with us through thick and thin. I will do everything in my power to help give her the surgery she needs. My Manx, pumpkin started to become lethargic & began losing weight very rapidly due to a low appetite. She started to have no bowl movements and began throwing up. I went to the vet and when x-rays were taken the vet noticed, she had a bowl impaction due to being severely constipated. The vet tried to give pumpkin an enema & manual extraction with no luck and said that she needs emergent surgery Pumpkin has another orange cat sibling named Nugget. They have been inseparable ever since they met. They sleep together and love their wet food. Pumpkin loves to sit on the windowsill and watch the birds sit in the tree. She loves to cuddle and she carries around a small mouse plushy that we call her 'baby blanket' and she takes it wherever she goes I'm in the process of moving from South Dakota back to Washington where my family resides. I quit my job and was moving back when my car broke down before I could make it back which set me back. I am trying to bring my things/ car back to WA & get lifesaving surgery 4 punky.

Reese came into our life at a five and a half week old puppy. We bottle-fed her and she would find blankets even if they were not hers and she would ninny on them. Unfortunately we are currently homeless staying in a fifth wheel camper on a friend's property with no water and no electric and have been for 3 years. On Friday April 10th 2026 Reese what's up in the room barking at the cats and somehow she hurt her right we're leg. She's not putting any weight on it it's a really painful and you just talk to me being homeless I don't have the funds to take her to a vet right away but I plan on taking her to Garrison animal hospital in Spring Hill Florida to see the vet Doctor Jennifer Gibson. Ricci is the princess of the family. She is very sassy yet she's very loving and caring and if it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be right now. She has been my emotional support dog through this tired trying time. If she has picked you as her humans and you're very special. She gets so excited when they come around did she gets extremely excited to the point where she licks your face off I have been completely and utterly distraught over the fact that I cannot get her to the vet to get her well. My life in my home is not the same without her being well. I plan on documentating everything so you can see her in her glory when she's healthy
