Ellie

Ellie is a 3 month old Great Dane in Burlington, CT, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization and Prednisone.

Burlington, CT

Three years ago, I adopted my sweet Great Dane mix, Ellie, from KC Pet Rescue. She was just 11 weeks old at the time — a shy, leggy puppy with big paws and curious eyes that hinted at how large she might grow one day. Ellie had been part of a litter that came to KC Pet Rescue after being found in need of safe homes. The rescue volunteers cared for her until she was healthy and ready for adoption. After a series of tests, the veterinarians diagnosed Ellie with Addison’s disease (hypoadrenocorticism) — a condition where her adrenal glands don’t produce enough essential hormones, especially cortisol and aldosterone. This can cause extreme fatigue, dehydration, low blood pressure, and even collapse if untreated. Now, three years later, Ellie has grown into a beautiful, tall, and graceful girl — but in her mind, she’s still that little puppy who wants to curl up in your lap. She has a soft, calm presence that fills the house with warmth. No matter how big she gets, she’s happiest when she’s right next to us — leaning her head on a knee, resting a paw on a shoulder, or just quietly following us everywhere Our financial situation is extremely tight right now. My husband recently underwent back surgery and is still on disability, which limits our household income. Between his recovery and Ellie’s medical needs — including Percorten-V injections, daily prednisone, and antibiotic

Tuna Mae

Tuna Mae is a 10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Douglasville , GA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Douglasville, GA

My name is Tuna Mae Grace & I’m a 10 year old pittie baby. Tuna is short for Petunia, which is the name my mama gave me when she rescued me, but I'm not much of a flower she says, so she shortened it to Tuna and it stuck! I used to have a brother who was a pittie rescue just like me, but he died a few years ago after fighting cancer. Mama & I miss him so much, but I have no prob being #1 baby! I turned 10 this year & boy has it been rough.I was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease in March so now I have to take a pill every day for the rest of my life. Then, in the summer, my mama & I were attacked by a big, scary dog when we were out for our daily walk. I had to have emergency surgery to stitch up my face. Then, just a week later, I tore my ACL, (ouch) and had to have another surgery! My mama is always telling me that I am the sweetest, schmoopiest, sassiest, silliest & most gentle & easy-going puppin around. She says I’m her bestie friend & the goodest girl & that I’m an amazing breed ambassador. I don’t know what that means, but I do know I love my mama so big & I am so grateful she rescued me all those years ago. She's always laughing at my funny faces & loves when I talk! Tuna Mae's multiple medical emergencies in 6 months were all so unexpected & while I have a small emergency fund, it is not enough to cover both of her surgeries & ongoing needs. I am a single person working both a full & part time job as a medical pediatric social worker

Angel

Angel is a 8 year old Rottweiler in Lakeland, FL, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Lakeland, FL

Angel came to us from an accidental litter. She was born in a junk yard both mom and dad where Rottweiler. She is full bloode6 and has been with us for her entire life. In August of this year she sprained her rt front shoulder so the vet told us but as the weeks went by it had gotten worse. Saw vet at dr bob Ireland office on Wednesday. The vet tells us it's bone cancer. She's my child.. We've made an appointment for this Monday with vma in winterhaven with a veterinarian oncologist. Angel is special she has been my emotional support through 2 heart attacks and bi lateral hip replacement but most of all she is our families light. Always happy always hugging. Somehow this beautiful soul made its way to our care and we owe it to her to save her life if at all possible. Angel loves everyone. She treats everyone a bit different my daughter she plays. My son in law is her favorite person. She loves to dress up with mom and she is there for me as support. We recently lost her sister Hershey she was 16. So angel has been depressed and a bit lonely. So this is hitting our family pretty hard the possibility of losing her 2 months after Hershey will be devastating It's difficult to share but I've been the bread winner for the 30yrs we've been married as of Feb 9 of 2024 I've been out of work for medical. Filed disability and denied. So money is tight care credit is still maxed from Hershey she had cushings and we kept her healthy.

Belle

Belle is a 9 month old Poodle in Lancaster, CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Spinal Tap to Get a Diagnosis.

Lancaster, CA

Belle came into our lives as a gift from a friend I seen a friend post her and her siblings and fell in love. At first it was just her brother we chose and it was a emotional support dog for my daughter but as soon as my daughter seen belle she connected to her she was the runt and so tiny and just so precious so we decided to get them both Belle and Rocky And it turned out to be the best decision On 10/07 we noticed belle limping and within 6 hours she became completely unable to bear weight on her front legs took her to SC urgent care and said she needs specialist so following day we went to her vet and the recommended the same. So on 10/09 the VCA animal specialist said she needs mri and spinal tap because it's neurological so need to do that to diagnose and rule out what's wrong Belle is everything perfect about a pet she is full of life loving playful and just such a smart girl she has always brought so much happiness to our lives and we all love her so much she plays with my grandkids and her brother daily and just lives her best life and gives us love daily and endless cuddles So when belle first needed care I applied for care credit but with the 2 vet visits and the neuro visit plus the testing done and meds I've used what was given it would mean everything to us to get belle the treatment she needs to live a long healthy life with us praying

Luna

Luna is a 2 year old Old English Bulldog in Concord, NC, who needs $2,000 for BOAS Surgery.

Concord, NC

In August 2024, Luna and her best friend Tyson had to leave the only home they’d ever known. I’ve known them since they were puppies and didn’t hesitate to take them in and give them the love and stability they deserve. Luna, also known as LuLu or Luna Belle, has brought so much joy into my home. In August 2025, Luna’s best friend Tyson passed away unexpectedly. Luna was devastated. Just hours later she began to panic—she couldn’t breathe, regurgitated, and was in clear distress. I rushed her to the ER, where she was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia, a serious and potentially fatal condition. During her stay at the emergency hospital, we also learned Luna is suffering from BOAS. Luna has been through more than most dogs her age, but through it all, she remains incredibly sweet. She’s full of energy, always ready for playtime (even if it’s a bit more gentle these days), and absolutely loves a good neck rub. Luna’s personality shines bright, and she brings joy to everyone she meets. Her favorite treat is watermelon, and she lights up when I sing to her while she eats it. Luna is now pneumonia-free and slowly adjusting to life without her best friend, Tyson. But she urgently needs BOAS surgery to help her breathe and prevent future emergencies. After her ER stay, our emergency funds are depleted. This surgery will be life changing for Luna.
