This is Bolo! He came to us after we lost our boy Otis. After Bolo came to us, my Mom was talking with his parents owner and found out he is actually Otis nephew! What a surprise! Bolo lives with his Mom (the boss), his Dad (the food bank), his Aunt (the driver) and his Nephew (the playtoy). For the first 2 years of Bolos life, he lived quietly,during a pandemic) with just his Mom and his Aunt. Bolo loves to "trim trees" and one day, he started to limp after one of his adventures. Bolo had his consultation at King Animal Hospital and his diagnosis is partial rupture of the right common calcaneal (Achilles) tendon and the recommended surgical treatment is called pantarsal arthrodesis, which will stabilize the joint and allow him to regain function in his leg. Bolos first 2 years were lived quietly with just his Mom and Aunt, this was during the pandemic and his "Dad" was in the hospital. When his Dad returned home, Bolos natural protection became more intense. He is a fierce guardian of his family and I can tell it makes him feel off that he is not at 100%. Bolo is only 4 and we want him to live a fun and active life as he was meant to do. The cost for the procedure and follow-up care is estimated between $6,000 and $9,000 — an amount that’s difficult for us to manage on our own. Bolo's parents are in their senior years and aren't in the best of health.

this is Meech, my incredible service dog. We've been inseparable since he was just a puppy, and he's been my constant companion and helper ever since. He's almost 3 years old now. Unfortunately, we're currently experiencing homelessness, but Meech's spirit and dedication never waver. he's developed a condition called "happy tail," where he wags his tail so hard that it's caused injury. To keep him healthy and pain-free, he needs a tail tip amputation. He has been seen at Parkview Animal Hospital in Lincoln NE. Meech does so much for me every day. He's more than just a pet; he's my lifeline. Without him, I honestly don't know how I would get through each day. He gives me the confidence to face the world, even when things are tough. We've faced discrimination due to my use of a service dog, which has made finding stable housing and employment incredibly difficult. His upcoming tail tip amputation is crucial for his health and well-being.

Our girl Sabree was given to us by a long time friend. The first time I held her there was an instant connection. She is pregnant with her first litter and I worry about her being ok. I need to take her to see a vet but have no income and am fighting to get my SSI back. I need to get her in to see a vet but cannot afford it and could use some support she is my love and am terrified of losing her. Sabree is 7 yrs old and pregnant with her first litter and with her being so old in worried about getting through the whelping process without complications. I don't know much about her health history but I'm trying to get her in to see a vet at the Animal Clinic here in Rapid City but have almost no resources.. She is such a wonderful girl. Before we got her she was not around to many people. Especially not men but she took to my fiance very quickly. There was no question that we were supposed to be together. She my soul puppy.She is so loving and so quiet. Her and I bonded immediately She is 7 yrs old pregnant with her first litter. I know in my heart that she is going to be a wonderful little Momma. With her being pregnant at so late in her life I am terrified of her having complications and it would absolutely devastate me if something happened and I couldn't take her in to be seen.

DEKKER has been trained to be my service buddy and has far exceeded my level of joy and peace provided. We need financial help with the surgery that costs 6k for both knees. God bless you DEKKER has been limping for awhile and not able to put weight on his rear left leg and now his right leg knee is affected and after doing a exam they said both CCL are torn and needs repaired with metal plates and screws … we are praying for financial assistance being this is a unexpected huge cost to our budgets as a SSAN recipient with limited $. I have a hound dog named buzz I got him from the SPCA he has real bad allergy problems but we first got him everything was fine he started getting red and come to find out it was a yeast infection so he has been battling with that for a long time he was on medication he was getting better but they said they can't keep them on the medication because it will mess up his liver he needs to go to a spe He has a medical condition yeast infection somehow he keeps getting it he'll be licking his paws biting on himself we took him to the vet and it just like a circle keep going back and nothing's getting done we tried everything. I see your pet as your child they're just like a child they depend on you they look forward going on walks they depend on you and you have to take care of them they're not just the animal they're your family it's emotional support also. Bailey is a rescue that we fell in love with 2.5 yrs ago. We answered a plea on FaceBook to find her a home and we jumped at the chance to help this sweet girl. Bailey lives with 3 rescued fur-siblings, a bunny friend and geese, ducks and chickens when she strolls outside to lounge in the sun. She also has 4 human siblings that adore her along with us, her parents. Bailey was underweight, scared, and deemed agressive (she's not). She came from a limited space, high stress situation before we integrated her into our home with acreage for her to run and play. Her body wasn't used to that type of activity so she pulled a few muscles the first year as she gained weight, strength, and confidence. Last month, she tore her actual ACL and needs TPLO surgery. We intended to foster Bailey while we found her the perfect home but she became extremely attached to me within a few days. We all fell in love with her while we worked with her to overcome her fears. Bailey is a sensitive soul and we knew we had to keep her because re-homing her again could be traumatizing. We all have a special bond with Bailey and we're gratful to have her love and loyalty. We knew rescuing/fostering came with financial responsibilities and we're doing everything we can to get Bailey the surgery she needs but this time, we need help.

The newest addition to our home is Eli. We got him from the man our landlord has as the maintenance man for all of his properties. He needed to find a home for two of the puppies that his female Chihuahua had. My wife wanted both but I would only let her get the one because I want to give the dog the best life I can afford to give him. My puppy needs all of his vaccination shots from rabbies all the way to the shots and booster shots that are required while they are puppies. He also needs to be neutered I haven't been able to afford anything yet. my landlord raised my rent 400 dollars out without much notice so we have been struggling even to keep food in our fridge. We always keep our two pups well fed though no matter what!! We do not have children of our own so our two puppies are our children. We want to provide them with the best love and care possible. They bring us so much love and care into our lives it only seems right to make sure they live out their best lives for us and with us. I was out of work for a little over a month and it put us behind way further than I thought it ever would. I did not have the savings for any time off work and it came way unexpected.

Chewie came into our family in February of 2023. He quickly became the center of attention in our multi-generation home. His loving, cuddly nature captured everyone in our home. He is our daughter’s best friend, and my father’s lunch companion. We can’t imagine a day without him in our lives. We can home from work on Friday, August 8th and found that the dog had thrown up multiple times. We decided to just watch him and see how he was doing. After a couple of hours we could tell that he was uncomfortable. We took him the Western Veterinary Center where we discovered that he had eaten something that was hard and too big for him to pass on his own and that surgery would be required. Chewie loves to chase and play with his older “brother” Meeko. He is the sweetest, floppiest dog you will ever meet. He is definitely the definition of relaxed! He spends time with everyone but sleeps with our daughter every night. We call him our cat-dog as he loves to nap on the top of the couch. We have never had a medical emergency like this before. My husband and I are both teachers and with the start of the school year things are tight. Chewie’s surgery is estimated at about $13,000. We don’t want to have to make the decision between life and death for him.
