Pixie

Pixie is a 6 year old Greyhound in Tukwila, WA, who needs $2,000 for Peak Limb Amputation.

Tukwila, WA

Adopting a retired racing Greyhound is a decades long dream. Pixie (Coconino) won 1st, 2nd and Place in 47 of 58 races in Australia. She is a working dog, did her duty and made it to the US. Royal Hounds Greyhound Adoption placed her with Karen and James and their hounds to get ready for her person...me! I adopted Pixie on August 11, 2023, one of the best days of my life! Pixie is her kennel name. Pixie needs URGENT Peak Limb Amputation surgery. A bump on her left leg on July 12 grew along with limping. Vet team at Saltwater Animal Hospital looked her over, recommended X rays. July 23 confirmed Osteosarcoma (bone Cancer) in her left wrist. NO CANCER SPREAD TO CHEST & LUNGS confirmed by 3 team vets and a specialist in Radiology. Dr Nicole Deal, Dr Audrey DeHart, recommend surgery ASAP! Pixie is a memorable dog, full of character, intelligence, playfulness, affection, a bit goofy and a little bit bossy pants! Foster Karen calls her the 'Christmas Morning Dog' so true every day! Pixie makes the most out of life! A working dog, she has her sense of duty making sure we stay on schedule! Loves all her squeaky toys! She loves everyone and they love her back me most of all! Last 7 months have been challenging for me personally. Starting Christmas 2024 I was in the ER 3x, hospitalized, 2 surgeries, lost income and I moved! Pixie had two surgeries on torn nails on her paw, dental extractions. I am so low on funds and now Pixie's Osteosarcoma!

Diva

Diva is a 3 month old Maltese in Somerset , NJ, who needs $2,000 for MRI.

Somerset, NJ

Diva was a gift from a very generous friend who breeds Maltipoos. Diva was the smallest of the litter and the last puppy remaining. We were a perfect match because I was looking for a small companion and she needed a home. We live in a beautiful townhouse in suburban New Jersey with lots of grass and greenery. Diva enjoys home cooked meals and sleeps in a toddler bed fit for a princess. Diva was with a "trusted caregiver' over the weekend. When I was discharged it was discovered that she has two broken ribs and no longer has full use of her hind legs. I rushed her to an Animerge, then Red Bank Vet Clinic. Diva has a nerve or spine injury that needs further evaluation. An MRI is required to assess the full extent of the issue, then possible surgery, rehabilitation and medication. Diva is a little cuddly furball. She's sweet, she's sassy she's funny and I love her so much. Her favorite toy is a little dog stuffy which is almost as big as she is. She loves to snuggle with it overnight and carries it around constantly. She's brought great joy to me and everyone iust adores her. Our oldest human child is now 3 years old so Diva is the new baby of the family. I'm a disabled senior citizen on a fixed income. Care for Diva's injury is very costly. My income is limited and I live on a strict budget, but I want to do everything I can to help my baby and give her the chance to recover. Getting her healthy is everything to me.

Nova

Nova is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Newark, , who needs $2,000 for Heartworm Treatment.

Newark

This is nova, my beautiful baby girl. I have had her since she was a pup and she’s been a family member since. She’s spoiled rotten and the sweetest baby ever. She was born 10/18/20 so she’s nearly 5. She loves to play, loves making new friends, and loves to be close to the people she loves. She would probably jump in my arms if she could! Nova currently has a case of heartworms that are in the first stage which means there are larvae in the bloodstream and adult worms in her heart. Unfortunately treatment is $1,500-2,000. We brought her to Granville veterinary clinic in Ohio where Michelle Dunleavy explained to us our options and procedures. Nova is an amazing family member to me and my family. I just don’t want her suffering. She has been my best friend for nearly 5 years and has been there for my first borns life and hopefully will be here for my second borns life which is coming soon. My daughter and nova are best friends. Nova and I have been on many adventures. Nova loves lakes, toys, being active, and most importantly loves to be around her family. Afraid of thunder. There isn’t enough words to describe her. Currently I’m not working being pregnant. The only one working is my boyfriend. Which he works very hard to provide and does an amazing, but With the baby on the way and trying to find a bigger home. It’s hard to handle all of this at the moment. We are definitely trying.

Bean

Bean is a 9 year old Chihuahua in Hayfork, CA, who needs $175 for Pimobendan for Heart Murmur and Heartworm Preventative.

Hayfork, CA

Bean came into my life shortly after losing my previous chihuahua Charlie. I wasn’t quite ready for a new dog but Bean just wiggled right into my heart healing me so very much. We are living with my brother and his wife after a devastating loss of almost all of our things. Bean has his cousin Georgie girl here to play with and also 5 inside cats and 3 outside cats. We also have 5 hens and 2 rooste I recently took Bean to the vet because he was coughing. He was diagnosed with a bad heart murmur and emphysema. He’s never been subjected to cigarette smoke so this was confusing to me. He also had mange which I thought was yeast infection so I was treating him totally wrong. He will have to be on heart meds for the rest of his life. Beans personality sets him apart from all others he can be very playful, very sneaky, and he was quite the escape artist for awhile. He loves me more than himself very protective. He loves all people but he especially loves men I mean really loves them it’s adorable how he demands there attention and wins them over. He has a lot of toys and plays with them on occasion he prefers playing with me. We were living in Idaho when unforeseen circumstances happened and we lost everything and my brother came out to get us and bring us back to my hometown in CA. All we could take was what fit in our car and his truck and the trailer he rented for us. Waiting on disability now
