Trooper

Trooper is a 14 year old Border Collie in Dime Box, , who needs $2,000 for Radiation and Cancer Treatments.

Dime Box

"Be like Trooper!" That is how I'll begin his story. He came into my life 1 day when he was turned into a shelter as a young puppy while I was there. That sweet baby was left all by himself. I went back to the shelter a couple hours later to adopt him. He ended up contracting kennel cough while there. He never once whined or ever so much as whimpered. when he was sick so he was a "Trooper" My sweet boy started showing issues with breathing out of his right nostril. We went to our vet and began ruling out several thoughts of what it could be for the next few months. One day he had a nose bleed that wouldn't stop for a while. Went to Texas A&M for CT testing and found out that he has a cancerous tumor taking over his right side of his sinus cavity. He has to see oncology at TAMU This boy of mine has never had a complaint in his life. Fighting cancer and arthritis doesn't stop Trooper from enjoying his evening romps. He loves to go for rides in the car and used to love to swim. We could learn to "be like Trooper" with not showing a care in the world despite all odds. I know my boy has alot of life left and loves his pup cups and evening romps. Trooper is fighting his cancer. I'm just hoping that maybe we could find a little relief with what's been spent already and what we will be facing. I'm hoping to be able to maybe give him supportive care with meds and radiation to help shrink the tumor

Grace

Grace is a 7 month old Labrador Retriever in East Prairie, MO, who needs $1,800 for Repair of Complete Breaks in Left Radius and Ulna.

East Prairie, MO

Gray Gray Girl. Gracie Mae. Graysa. Gi Gi. Grace. We call her all sorts of names but she’s our Grace! Our “saving grace” if you will! Grace is our sweet 7 month old black lab. She loves to run, play in the water, fetch, and most importantly play with her two older human siblings. Mom jokes that Grace is her “favorite child”. Where ever Mom and siblings are, Grace is sure to be there too!<3 Grace loves to be outside and especially loves playing with her human siblings. This week we were outside, she attempted to jump a fence to get to the kids and her front left leg was trapped. She was seen urgently today at Bootheel Animal Clinic in Sikeston, Missouri. Both of the large bones in her leg are broken completely and she requires surgery that is presently unaffordable for our family. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of how sweet and gentle our Grace is. Even with a severe injury she has only shown us the most amount of love. She was the missing piece of our family. She loves to be wherever we are: the ball field, the fair, the park, any car ride, any pet friendly stores. She never wants to miss a trip, and honestly, we don’t want her to miss any trips either! We adore her!! This is definitely a sudden, unexpected emergency. She has to have the surgery to ease her pain, give her a chance to regain her mobility, and return to the upbeat pup that she has always been. She means the world to our family and we know there has to be a way to help her.

Cholula

Cholula is a 7 year old Chihuahua in Lincoln, CA, who needs $2,000 for Neurology Consult, MRI & Potential Hemilaminectomy.

Lincoln, CA

I first saw Cholula on an Instagram post from the Sacramento SPCA! I thought "OMG, what a little cutie, she'll be adopted so quickly!" Then, 2 weeks later, I saw her on my feed again and promptly phoned a friend to help me "break a dog outta jail!" She immediately got along with my Robbie dog and that was that, out of the shelter she walked right beside her new big brother! For the past 5 months, Lu has not fully been herself, leading to several vet visits and no real resolution. This weekend I saw she was in pain, so I took her to Sterling Pointe Urgent Vet. Upon exam, she was very painful when her spine and neck were palpated. A neurologist was strongly recommended and she was given a shot of methadone and sent home on gabapentin, meloxicam, and Methacarbomal. Cholula is the sweetest girl and is ALWAYS happy! She loves her people fiercely and isn't afraid to show it! She really does live up to her name, and is my spicy little Mexican with her sad and rule the world attitude! She is my reason for living! Porch time is her most favorite thing in the world; she bathes in the sun, potties in the yard, and barks at all those who dare to walk by! This is an unexpected MAJOR expense and I do not have the funds to support this type of specialized veterinary care. I am looking into all options of fundraising so that I do not need to do the unthinkable.
