I adopted Chet as a rescue from Georgia at 11 weeks old! He was so confident and silly right from day one! He could not be a more perfect companion. Chet has so much love to give! Chet will be having a Patella Luxation Complex surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA. I met with Dr. Trout on 6/24/25 and received Chet’s surgical estimate. Chet is a social butterfly! He loves spending time with his friends every day, sunbathing potato style, shopping, hiking and the beach! He has the biggest smile and the best wiggle when he gets excited! I work full time and I unfortunately do not have pet insurance. I would love nothing more than to see Chet be able to walk, run and wrestle with his friends again. He is the sweetest boy and the biggest love!

Burger King didn’t just come into our lives. He bursted through ever since he was a puppy he has always been the center of attention. We named him Burger King because he likes to have it his way. From the start he has been a proud courageous and loving puppy. His mother happened on our porch one evening and was very pregnant and 2 days later Burger King was here in all his glory. Recently however he had gotten cherry eye. We’ve already schedule an emergency vet visit at east Providence urgent care. Assuming because of his age and breed this situation seems fairly common but it is still worrying. He is a fast moving and play hard kind of pup and his cherry eye impedes him from being free and most importantly having it his way. Burger King is our protector of the bathrooms. He guards his mom while she eats her food as to assure proper nutrition. And the best companion to have in the kitchen at 3am making snacks. Or just hanging out outside on the porch while he plays in the sun trying to catch various bugs in the air. He’s cool doing what ever and going where ever. This is a sudden expense it was like one day he went to sleep and woke up with this in his eye. I’m in school it’s hard enough right now with everything going on. I just want to provide the best care possible for my puppy.

Freeda

Freeda is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in West Jordan, UT, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization for Aspiration Pneumonia.

I adopted Freeda on March 28, 2025. Freeda was rescued off of the streets of Juarez, MX. She initially spent time with Planned Pethood de Juarez and then with Rescue Rovers. Freeda lives with me in my home as my companion and best buddy. Freeda was diagnosed with megaesophagus and aspiration pneumonia on June 5th. She is having a hard time shaking the aspiration pneumonia and she is continuing to regurgitate despite my best efforts. Freeda has been treated at Riverton Veterinary Hospital and Advanced Veterinary Care for the megaesophagus and aspiration pneumonia. I met a few dogs before I met Freeda. I selected Freeda for many reasons. She is very unique in her looks. She a slightly curly tail and a spotted tongue, but she looks like a lab/rottweiler. She also gets a long so well with my two senior cats: Milo & Gus. She loves them so much. She does this thing where she stomps her feet on the ground when she is excited. It's adorable. I am already in a debt consolidation program that will have me debt free in 4 years. I was told that Freeda was healthy when I adopted her. I wasn't expecting any large expenses for a dog for at least a few years. Right now Freeda's medical expenses are at $4000.

Mr Skinkers

Mr Skinkers is a 5 year old Pomeranian in Oshkosh, WI, who needs $2,000 for Cleaning, Multiple Extractions, Sedation, Rx.

Skink was a "backyard" breeding dog, facing euthanasia. His entire life was spentin a kennel, only allowed out for breeding purposes. Had never been to a vet, never had human affection and had limited interaction with humans and other dogs. It took me over a month to get him to trust me enough to come to me and not hide. Everything single part of our day was a scary mess for him. Mr Skink's name actually came about from the fact his teeth are rotted and infected causing a horrible odor. After his first visit with the vet, it was determined that most of his teeth are needing to be removed, and sedation is going to be required. His vet is at the Country Animal Hospital in Neenah. Mr Skink is the most amazing pup I've ever owned. When he came home back in December he was malnourished weighing only a half pound. In time, I've watched him grow emotionally, and enjoy every part of life he can, especially going outside! Except he isn't able to eat much due to his dental pain. I have to puree his food, and I'm afraid the infection could spill into his blood stream causing sepsis I do work, and thru my job am able to cover his insurance however due to his lack of previous vet records the insurance company denied his dental procedure, because without a base line they are unable to determine weather or not this is an new or old issue.

Fisher was supposed to be a gift for my son to try harder in school because it was a new school and it's hard and I wanted Fisher to be there for him through all the changes and help him and during this time Fisher got close to me and started helping me cope with the loss of my husband that happened 6 months prior adopting him. Fisher is very active and always moving and he needs a toy in his mouth or he starts nipping to Hurd you. He is getting older and I've notice head shaking and licking paws, and grass eating and smells like corn chips and the last 2 day he's been having the watery poops and has had ascends in the home. I live in low income housing and don't make enough money to get him into a vet and get seen. Fisher loves me and is always there for me and when my kids come over he gets so happy and starts bringing them all of his toys because he wants to play with all of them. He loves tug a war and doesn't want to stop playing with them. He has his good days and bad like all animals but he is very happy boy with lots of energy. I work at McDonald's for 4yrs now and after my kids moved out and Fisher and I moved I don't have transportation as much now. At our last place I had to give my car up for bills but my kids had cars now it's harder because we live farther away and I work at 430 am 3days

Bella, the love of my life. She first came into my life in 2017 when I was 10 years old. She was my first ever dog. I was bullied a lot in school and developed severe depression. Bella saved me. She has been by my side ever since.. She is my best friend, she copies literally everything I do. She understands me. Without her, I don’t know what I would do. I feel like I birthed her. She recently injured her leg while we were playing fetch. She yelped suddenly, started limping, and has been in visible pain ever since. While she’s still trying to walk, she’s clearly uncomfortable, and I’m deeply concerned it could be something serious like a torn ligament or joint issue. I plan to take her to Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Paterson, NJ. Any support would go directly toward her treatment. She has a younger brother (goldendoodle) legend and a younger cat named Cleo. She is truly one of a kind. She’s incredibly gentle, with a nurturing soul that brings peace and joy to everyone around her. Despite her age, she still has a playful side and lights up the room with her goofy faces and wags when she’s excited. She’s deeply bonded with every family member—always following us. She’s FAMILY Right now, I’m facing a tough financial situation that’s made it really hard to afford the veterinary care for her. She’s been limping in pain, and it breaks my heart to see her struggle when all she wants is to play, rest without pain, and follow me around.

He was given a toy that was supposed to be indestructible but injected a piece. The vet has tried all non invasive treatments and he now needs surgery but I’ve exhausted my care credit. He is only 3 I can’t let him die. He is very affectionate and loves everyone. he loves to play ball and even will play with his siblings (cats) he is a mommas boy he follows me everywhere. He genuinely brings joy to his surroundings he’s gentle and so loving. I’m a single mom who lost her husband to a drunk driver and have been raising my kids alone since then I have horrible credit and live paycheck to paychecks

Harry Winston graced the live of our 4 children during the most recent holiday. He was a little over 8 weeks old when we welcomed him into our home (and beds). Our 4 kids had shown maturity and a level of responsibility commensurate with that of caring for a small dog and Harry Winston was a perfect match! However, one afternoon a couple of weeks back, he injured his eye while playing out back. I called around to several animal clinics and hospitals throughout the valley area (818) of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, not too many of them have an Ophthalmologist on hand and his left eye had not only gotten swollen and blinded but needed to be removed. Eye removal comes at a high cost that our family was not prepared to endure. We’ve considered extreme options to make him more comfortable. But Harry Winston is so sweet! He’s adorable and energetic and in the evening he’s the most ferocious guard dog (the Cane Corso is his spirit animal). His barks alone spook the wrinkles out of the backyard canopy and the unruly squirrels and wandering possums. Our kids, ages 6-17, all adore him and he reciprocates their love affectionately, following anyone moving about (likely hoping for snacks). I’ve been on short term disability and my pay has been anywhere near the same level and does not support a $1500+ vet bill for eye removal and post surgery care. We accept he’s blind in one eye but we need to have it removed as it just decaying and likely inviting infections

Rhino, who once served as a companion dog for his cheetah brother KJ at Wildlife Safari is now facing another spinal surgery. Rhino came to us after retirement after his first and second surgeries and needing a home. He’s just undergone his 4TH(!!!!!!) IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) surgery, and the costs are adding up fast. Right now his surgery costs are around $11,000. Rhino isn’t just any dog. He’s the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet, super social, full of love, and a friend to everyone. Even after everything he’s been through, he still is the happiest pup in the world and Molly & I’s best friend We signed up for pet insurance but due to rhinos pre existing conditions they will not cover him. This surgery is less than one year after his previous surgery that we prayed $7000 for. This sudden unexpected cost after one last year is difficult to manage and plan for.
