Star

Star is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Bainbridge, GA, who needs $2,500 for Enucleation.

Bainbridge, GA

Star came into my life along with her Moma "Mooney" they arrived together and her moma was a kitten herself. I started feeding them and Star was tiny and we originally thought he was a girl and noticed when they came he had eye infections in both eyes. I brought both inside for safety and care. I was immediately attached to both of them. Mooney is a very good Moma to Star. I took Star to the vet and Dr. Stephanie Kubick took great care of Star but informed me that the eye infection was a bad one and as a result Star lost her left eye and is going to loose her right one as well. And Star also has no sphincter muscle on his rear end that needs to be fixed so he can have normal bowel movements without pain. Dr. Kubick of Bryan -Hight Vet hospital in bainbridge georgia Star and Mooney have been together since ive had them. He loves Temptations cat treats any flavor as he hears the bag crinkle and he knows. He likes to play occasionally and will get up for a little catnip treat. He does rest alot and is familiar with voices and who we are. He likes to be petted around his ears and under his chin. He feels safe and acknowledges those around him. I have COPD and receive SSDI. I have always worked my whole life and now I am unable to physically work as i used to. Sometimes its very disheartening. I went to school and got my associates in medical assisting. It would mean the world to have my baby Star well & happy.

Lila

Lila is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Jurupa Valley , CA, who needs $300 for Bloodwork.

Jurupa Valley, CA

I rescued Lila and her sister when they were only 8 weeks old to keep them together and out of the shelter system. Since then, they have been inseparable. Lila is an indoor cat who is easily frightened, but she has a deep bond with me and her sister. Our home in is her sanctuary, where she has grown from a tiny kitten into the heart of our family. She is truly my best friend. A vet exam confirmed she is lethargic, drooling and refusing food or water. We are working with Victoria Animal Hospital but will try to take her to Animal Emergency Clinic where I was told they might be able to work with a payment plan.Bloodwork is the next critical step. We need to determine if this is organ failure or a physical obstruction so we can provide life-saving treatment before her con When I call her name, she gives a unique meow that sounds just like she’s saying "ma." She is my study buddy; whenever I’m doing homework, she’ll loaf right on my textbooks just to be near me. Her favorite "prey" is a simple hair tie that she chases and meows at with so much pride. She is a gentle, sweet girl who makes biscuits on me every night to show her love. As a student, my funds are very limited. I have exhausted all options, including applying for emergency credit and payment plans, but was not approved. My next step is visiting a recommended emergency vet to see if they can work with me
