Ivar is a 1 year old boy that lives in the suburbs with a very big family. He is the youngest of a litter of 7 which is the first and last litter of puppies for his mommy. Along with Ivar mom he lives our little dog myself my husband and our 2 sons. Ivar has had his challenges since birth but has always been very happy energetic and full of life. Ivar was born October 23rd 2023 he was the last and smallest born. He was born with an umbilical hernia which was repaired by Swansea Vet at 6 months. He recently got sick we brought him to Ocean State Veterinary Hospital and they discovered he had another very large internal hernia. His intestines are pushing up into his abdomen and obstructing his other organs causing complications. Please help. Ivar was born with some minor issues. So he got his name from the history of Vikings. He is named after a Viking that was born unable to walk but became a great warrior and a king. Even though our Ivar was the smallest and had a couple Issues it never stopped him from being a happy energetic boy. He could run around our yard playing fetch with my son for hours. He is our puppy Viking warrior king My husband and I both work but we don’t make much money. Giving the high expense the economy is today we struggle. Our puppy is only 1 he has so much more life to live and run around and play with his mom and cuddle with our family. He isn’t just a pet he is our loved child

Kira came into my life 6 years ago, she is a rescue dog, from down south. She has brought me so much joy. in my life She currently lives in a beautiful home with our other dog (Brandy). Kira has a large backyard and plenty of space for her to lounge around in. Kira loves going on walks, she enjoys running around with our other dog Brandy. Kira interacts with others very well. She loves laying and sleeping in the sun, she will move around the house just to find that perfect sunny spot. Kira loves chasing squirrels although she is not fast enough to catch them, I like reminding her of that. Kira is a very energetic dog. Kira is special to me because she has been with me through my divorce, she was there when my mother passed away from Covid, and she has been there for me during my 3 knee surgeries. I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer in May of 2022, and Kira has been there for me during my surgery and radiation treatment. Without her, it would have been very difficult for me to get through those tough times. Kira has been recently diagnosed with gingival hyperplasia with suspect fibrosarcoma. She has recently been referred to the Oncology division at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Clinic. She will be undergoing a CT scan and potentially radiation therapy as well as other services needed to treat her. It would mean the world to me to get Kira back to a healthy condition. My fiancé and I are expecting a baby in April, which will have a financial impact on our income and could use all the help we can get. I am a current cancer patient as well, so finances are really tight

Oona came into my life on my birthday in July of 2020. She was three first thing I saw that morning while scrolling thru FB. She was on a site needing to be rehomed. Out of many ppl who wanted her I was the luckiest women in the world that day to be chosen as her new mommy! From moment 1 she fit right into my home and life and we bonded what seemed instantly! Oona and I have formed a bond like I've never had with another animal before. She is almost basically the cat version of me. We have been thru some really rough times over the last few months together and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for her I literally don't think I'd be alive right now. She is the light of my life and truly my soulmate. I am just starting my life over with little to nothing. Oona is my life and I can't stand seeing her in pain. It's now become very hard for her to eat and I just need my baby to be ok! Oona has been a pretty healthy cat other then her teeth before I got her and has had no major issues health wise since she's been with me. She was really showing no signs till lately that the teeth were becoming a problem. During her yearly exam at Animal Health Clinic, Fargo ND Dr. Katie found that she needed oral surgery ASAP as her dental issues had gotten so extreme. Oona is a very chill kitty. She spends so much time just relaxing on her back showing off her curly belly snoozing. She gets her zoomies a few times a day.She loves her little mousies. She talks to me alot and loves to snuggle me by laying on my chest, neck and face. She will literally sit there and stare me down till I lay down and let her lay on me. I must stop doing whatever I am.

Canelo came into our lives from a family member's dog and he's been a fighter since he was born! He's normally doing puppy things, playing with our pittie, and is 10 weeks old. He's a gardener and loves digging up the dirt and plants we put down. He hides under the couch and will give our toes a nip if can catch them. He's the only "son" we'll have in our house full of girls. Canelo loves rough housing and playing. He's usually following one of us in the house (husband/wife and four kids) like a little duckling. While one of us works on house projects or getting the kids ready for school, he often grabs the one thing you need and runs with it! He loves toys, and his dinosaur basket with a pillow that says "no bad day." We are choosing to do the home treatment option, after my family was declined through the vet care financing option. My husband is the sole income earner at this time, and is currently on FMLA from a back injury so our income has reduced for the foreseeable future. We recently learned a neighbor's dog tested positive for Parvo, and was letting their dog use our yard for their business during their morning walks. Within days of learning of the dog's illness, our Canelito started slowing down. He's drinking, but not eating and my husband took him to the vet where it was confirmed he has Parvo. He's been treated at River Heights Vet Hospital by Elizabeth. Canelo is our "golden boy." He has a unique coat and color and is literally like a golden teddy bear. He's so small, and it's funny to see him be so rough when all you have to do is pick him up. He loves grabbing things, digging in the spots where I plant my plants, and he always trys to jump in the tub whenever his human sisters take a bath.

Dorothy is a sweet senior that was found crammed inside a box with her companion, Rose, and left at a local park before being taken to a overcrowded California shelter. In the sweltering summer heat, the two frightened little dogs waited together, both battling painful upper respiratory infections and years of heartbreaking neglect. When they both finally reached safety with Bichon Rescue Brigade, the extent of Dorothy’s suffering became clear. Her eyes were sealed shut with infection, her tiny body was covered in painfully overgrown nails, and her mouth showed severe dental disease. But Dorothy’s greatest challenge is the large mammary mass she carries—a painful reminder that she has gone far too long without medical care. She’ll need bloodwork, diagnostics, and surgery to determine whether the mass can be safely removed and to give her the best chance at a healthier future. Now she needs the medical care that will allow her to truly begin her new life. Hello, This my by rescue girl Willow. She is a 7 year old pit mix who has unfortunately torn her meniscus and ACL. She is a loving girl who is just not herself anymore. The estimate states the surgery to fix her leg could cost between $7,300 and $7,800 with a two month recovery time. We are hoping for help to get her running and playing again. Thank you so much! Best, Domenic Willow has torn her meniscus and her ACL whole playing with her brother Cooper. She is going to have her surgery at PetMedic in Burlington, MA. We are hoping to have it done on 11/17. Willow is such a loving and sweet girl. She is generally submissive and is always up for a cuddle with lots and lots of kisses. She loves to play with her brother Cooper and our children. She especially loves chewing on her squeaky ball, which she has been ignoring since her injury. I have recently made a career change due to job loss which has lowered my income by 50%. While I can still afford by mortgage and bills, with 4 kids that's all I can afford and am paycheck to paycheck. Anything helps, we love our Willow girl and she deserves everything.

London requires surgery at East Chapman Veterinary Hospital in orange California London is a sweetheart loves his walks and cuddling he’s really good with kids elderly and other animals. He’s an overall happy healthy dog that just requires the TECA surgery I live with my parents which I care for also for my special needs son so this surgery is out of the question. If he gets this surgery he will no longer be in pain or constantly making his ear bleed

Left Behind After His Owner Died - Help Save Marco

Marco Was Left Behind - Now He’s Fighting for His Life Marco didn’t just lose his owner. He lost the only person who knew he was there. After his owner passed away, no one realized that 5-year-old Marco was still inside the home. For what was likely weeks, he was completely alone with no one coming to feed him, care for him, or even know that he was waiting. By the time Marco was finally discovered, he was barely hanging on. He arrived at the local shelter severely emaciated, with a body condition score of just 1 out of 10. He was quite literally skin and bones. He also had a massive abscess on his neck that required immediate draining. When Backwoods Barkers Rescue learned about Marco, we pulled him from the shelter and rushed him straight to the vet. His bloodwork showed just how critical his condition had become. Marco’s red blood cell count was only 9. A normal level should be around 40. He needed an emergency blood transfusion to save his life. Right now, our only concern is keeping Marco alive and helping his fragile body recover. His immediate care includes his blood transfusion, IV fluids, hospitalization, medications, continued bloodwork and treatment for the wound on his neck. And unfortunately, this is only the beginning. Marco is also heartworm positive, but he is far too weak to begin heartworm treatment. He needs time to heal and gain a significant amount of weight before his body can safely handle it. Once he is strong enough, he will also need to be neutered and continue treatment for everything his body has endured. Marco's total emergency care is estimated to be in the thousands, but right now we are taking his recovery one day at a time. What makes his story even harder to comprehend is the dog underneath all of this. Marco is incredibly sweet. After losing his owner, being left alone for weeks, nearly starving to death, developing a painful abscess, and now enduring hospitalization and a blood transfusion, he still wants love. He still trusts people. Marco survived long enough for someone to finally find him. Now we need to make sure he gets the chance to truly live. Please consider donating toward Marco’s veterinary care. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue saying yes to dogs like Marco when they have nowhere else to go. He has a very long road ahead of him - but he won’t have to travel it alone. ❤️🐾

Reza is an 11 year old DLH kitty. I got him when he was 3 years old. A woman in a FB group got him from a friend and didnt want him because he was "bad". So I went to her house and picked him up. Best thing Ive ever done! Reza is so nice, so sweet and loving - he loves everyone he meets! He truly has been a blessing in my life these past few years. I was trying to go to sleep, and I saw him on the floor by my nightstand, eating something excitedly. I tried to grab him to see what it was, but all I saw was a flash of white as he ran away. When I finally got to him 10 minutes later, I didnt see anything. Given what I did see, I believe he ate dental floss. For now, he seems fine, but I know I have to take to A Cat Practice soon. Reza has always been playful and friendly, from the day I met him. Favorite toys include stringy toys on a stick and catnip toys. He's the friendliest cat I've ever met, and falls in love with everyone he meets, including vet professionals! I am disabled and love alone, so he means the world to me I lost my job last fall and was unemployed for 6 months. I now work pt, but its 1/3 of my previous salary, so I'm not making ends meet. Im disabled bur dont receive disability, so its been really hard. I dopay for an insurance policy for Reza, but cant afford to use it.
