I live with my owner's daughter for now as my owner has cancer. I live with a few cats and another dog named Boo! I've been with her family since I was only a couple of months old. A few days ago, I started limping badly. The vet found I had a ruptured CCL in my back leg and I need TPLO surgery to walk normally again. But at the vet, X-rays revealed something unexpected — severe bladder stones. They were nearly blocking my bladder completely. It was an emergency, and I was rushed to get surgery. However, this drained my guardian's savings. But I still need the leg surgery! My name is Nilla, and I’m a 6-year-old Golden Retriever mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a serious case of the wiggles. I bark at everything (sorry, not sorry), love chasing squirrels and birds (and anything that gets in my yard), and when I want your attention, I throw myself on the floor and wiggle like a goofball until you can’t help but laugher. The vet found that Nilla needed two surgeries - one for bladder stones that was emergent and another to fix a torn CCL in her back left leg. I was able to pay for the emergncy bladder surgery but I don't have enough for the CCL.

Freya was adopted from the Seattle Humane Society in January of 2022. She is a cuddly sweetheart that is an extremely loved part of our family. Family consists of 5 people, one other god named Melvin and 3 cats. Freya is overall in great health and has historically enjoyed lots of hiking and playing. She is a mix breed - mastiff type, retriever and pit bull (according to her DNA test results) Limp after walks in 2024 led to consult at Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center in Shoreline, WA - led to TPLO surgery in 2/2025 with full recovery. Was known the other leg would at some point need same surgery - on 6/23/2025 during a mild play session in yard she yelped and now no longer puts weight on her other rear leg (non surgery leg). Have a consult scheduled, but expect to need TPLO again. She is special because she is a part of our family and we all love her completely. She is a cuddler, consummate wiggler and all around happy girl. She interacts as an integral part of our family with everyone. My daughter Scarlett has a very close relationship with her. Her dog brother Melvin is her best buddy. She's perfect. Single income family for past 12yrs. Son with autism making child care options difficult. Falling behind - just did TPLO on other leg past February. Depleted savings and income diminished due to some work/life changes. Hoping for more time before next TPLO, but needs now

Boss

We adopted Boss from a local humane society December 20th 2024. We had lost our last dog Arrow in November of last year, a month before his 11th birthday. We had Arrow and his brother Buckeye (crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2022) since they were born in 2013. When we met Boss I immediately noticed something wrong with his left eye, asked the humane society employee if there was anything wrong with it. Her response: "it's just a little goopy." I filled out paperwork, my husband paid the fee, they gave him Boss' folder, we go home. I look in Boss' folder, the 1st page states he has entropion & needs eye surgery. He will be going to COVE in Delaware OH. Boss is the sweetest dog. Absolutely LOVES the snow, is fascinated by bubble wrap and watches TV. He crosses his front legs and folds his front paws in when he lays down, my daughter says he's like a distinguished gentleman. Boss is extremely smart and there hasn't been a day yet that he hasn't made us laugh. We weren't told of his medical condition until after we completed paperwork & paid the adoption fee. Having recently invested in a new roof, we have depleted our financial reserves. It would be unjust to make Boss wait through a legal battle, so any donation is appreciated.

Button is a 11 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Groton, CT, who needs $2,000 for Anesthesia, Surgery.

I first met Button in the pound, 8 years ago. No one wanted her. She had been in the pound for 6 months and she was one step away from being put down. She picked me as her owner, so I took her home. Button had fear based aggression with other humans and dogs. With a lot of love and patience, she has overcome most of her fears. We have been all over the country together and now live in Groton, CT. Unfortunately, Button was bitten in the face by a coyote when Button was trying to chase the coyote off our property. Button is suffering from 3 wounds that need immediate medical attention. We are getting treatment at VCA animal hospital in West Hartford, CT. Button is my best friend. She's got tons of personality, loves meeting other dogs and people, loves going on rides, and absolutely loves hiking and backpacking. She has been to every coast with me, but since my sickness, our adventures have become few and far between. My husband still tries his hardest to give her the life I used to give, because that's what she deserves. Since getting Button, I have developed a pretty serious medical condition that causes me frequent trips to the ER and many medical appointments. There is little research on my condition, so treatments involve trial and error with medication. It has put me in severe debt.

I found Svanna on my way home on the highway. I noticed smoke and thought someone's car tire might have blown, but then I saw her scamper across the grass. So I pulled over got her to come closer, gave her some pets and carried her to my truck since she was limping. I am trying to get her seen by Bonds Ranch. She walks with a limp, her front leg is swollen more than the other one and she can't put any weight on it, whines when she does, or stretches it too far, when climbing on the couch etc. I believe she was abandoned as she's slightly underweight. So far she follows me like a shadow, sits on the couch with me, at my feet while I'm cooking or working. She likes to sleep at the foot of my bed. When I get home from running to the store she wags her tail and does a little happy prance, it is adorable! I've lost my overtime hours, so all my paycheck goes to bills, groceries for my kids and gas in my car. I wasn't expecting to own a dog, much less find her in this condition but I really want to help her get better and keep her.

A neighbor offered me this dog because he could not care for him. He was tied up outside on a heavy chain with no shelter. He was not fed properly and no vet care was provided. He had no patience for the dog and never walked the dog or tried To train him. He had no patience and at times would yell or hit the dog. So I took him in to provide him comfort and care, but I am on a limited income and re The dog was taken to the vet for an examination and rabies vaccination. It was determined at the time that he had Heartworms and an eye infection. I have been trying to treat him for both, but it has become very expensive. I already have Two other dogs that was heartbroken to see how he was being treated. I felt that if anything I could find him a better home I am on a limited income and have No o Blue is a sweet and loving dog. He spends time with me and goes for long walks. He’s very sweet and affectionate, but due to his medical issues, he does not feel as well as he possibly could. We (my husband & I) wanted to do something about the overwhelming amount of animals being turned in to shelters & county services. All of them were filled to overflowing. We decided to adopt an older dog because they are less adoptable. We picked up Henry at our local county Animal Control and took him home. He had been neutered at the pound so we kept him from our other dogs until he healed. When Henry was healed we introduced him to our other 2 dogs. We were amazed that they accepted him almost immediately! It turns out, Henry loves other dogs. He started playing with our female right away! Our small male took a little longer (he is a gruff character) but Henry won him over. We had some concerns about Henry & children but he is very gentle around our grandchildren. We haven’t had Henry for long but he stands out in many ways. Since we brought him home from the pound his tail has never stopped wagging. At first, he had a little trouble with eye contact but now he comes up to us with the biggest grin on his face! He has got to be the sweetest dog ever. When we took Henry to Scottsdale Hills Animal Hospital ( because they give free wellness checks to adopted county animals) we were really disheartened to learn of his condition. He has bright red gums that are diseased. Teeth will need to be removed. He has an unusually large scrotum that we have noticed causes him problems when urinating or just walking over small objects. This is definitely a financial cost that we never anticipated. We are still working on recovery from some past financial hardships. Henry blends seamlessly into our family & is a sweet & gentle addition. We would love for him to be healthy & live out his his days with us.

Hello, our dog Red is a wonderful well behaved Dachshund mix.She came into our lives 3 years ago when a friend of our former roommate was incarcerated and her boyfriend was selling all her belongings and neglecting 5 dogs that were left in his care or lack thereof... My mother had 2 male dachshunds when i was growing up, they were a handful but i loved those dogs so when I saw th6e condition that had been left in with my roommate's friend's worthless boyfriend it broke my heart so I asked my roommate to ask her friend if we could go pick up Red and care for her until she was released, her friend agreed. Red was great from day one. She has such a loving, grateful disposition and sheand she was completely housebroken. We honestly couldn't have gotten a better dog. My boyfriend of 11 yrs and myself had been very reluctant to get a dog bc we couldn't picture a dog that never did their business inside the house or a dog that didn't tear up/ destroy things and a dog that didn't irritate my boyfriends asthma however we took a chance on Red and it has been one of the best decisions we have made to date.Red's original owner was released after 15 months she came to get Red but when she saw how happy and loved Red was w/ us.She thought it would be best for her to stay with us. We were elated and relieved to know that Red would be happy and safe for the rest of her life. However, my boyfriend became unemployed in December and January.We are struggling financially and Red needs medical care as soon as possible she has a tumor on her mammary gland that by the grace of God the cancer hasn't spread to her lungs but it can at any time. The Vet said she is going to need 2/3 Surgeries. 1st one they will spay,remove mass tumor & one side of her mammary chain. 2nd surgery remove remaining tumors & deal w/ her severe dental disease. 3rd finish dental care
