Sky is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Fairland, IN, who needs $2,000 for Remove the TPLO Plate.

We rescued Sky at 4 weeks old from a friend who could not care for her. We have had Sky for over 8 years now. We have also rescued Annie, who is 9 years old. We named her Sky because her eyes will turn dark blue when she gets excited to play. We named Annie after me. They love to play and take walks in the park. Sky had TPLO surgery on her left knee, and the plate has become infected; the skin around it will open up, and she has to be on antibiotics for it to heal. This just keeps recurring over and over. She has to have the plate removed to get better. It is a one-time surgery, and it will take care of this issue. Sky loves her rescued sister, Annie. Sky loves to play ball and laser. She is very sassy and makes demands when it's time to go outside. I had spine surgery a few years ago, and she helped me go up and down the steps; she let me hold on to her so I would not fall. She looks after Annie. Sometimes, Annie gets afraid to go outside, and Sky will assure her its ok. We are on SS disability, and it is very hard to pay the basic bills. When things broke or needed to be replaced, I would use a credit card, even for the vet visits, because I had no other way to pay for it. Sky is my world. I want her to be healthy and out of pain.

Nala

Nala is a 4 year old Siberian Husky in Oak Grove, MN, who needs $2,000 for ASP TPLO Surgery.

Nala came into me and my son’s life out of nowhere. We live in a split level house and when our downstairs neighbor bought Nala from another family, my son let her inside our level to meet our other dog, and we got attached. They let us keep her after that since they didn’t have a place for her. I take her with me to work during my newspaper route, and she gets mad when I don’t let her come with. Nala tore her ACL, but we don’t know how. She is close to tearing her other one as well. She can’t sit still even with the injury no matter what we do, she just “needs” to keep running around no matter what. We normally go to Missions Animal hospital for our pets. Nala will do whatever she can to mess with other animals. And if you pet her and then stop, she will howl at you until you pet her again. She throws a tantrum if she isn’t happy with something, and will get jealous if our other dog Luna gets attention instead. We probably won’t have the money for her treatment for a while, and we’re hoping that we could try this for some extra help so we can let her run without hurting herself. She’s just devastated that she can’t run as much or as fast anymore, and we want our dog to be happy

Maia

Maia came home six years ago and has been one of the best things in our lives. Our happy girl is usually a constant source of barking, playing and making sure everything at the house is in order. Before this happened, we just built a fence to give her a safe backyard to be able to play in. On Fri 04/04/25, Maia made a little jump to try to catch a ball and, when coming down, she yelped in pain. The next day she was panting a little and by Sunday, 04/06/25, she wasn't using her back legs at all. We rushed her an hour north of us to Animal Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS for an emergency CT scan and hemilaminectomy. She's been up there ever since. Maia's our best friend, our little girl and she's a wonderful big sister to Molly. She's so playful. She loves to work on her chew (well, several of them), chase the ball around in the backyard and she'll smother you in kisses if you let her. She lets you know when it's time to get up and ABSOLUTLEY lets you know when it's bedtime. We call her our dog-hter (instead of daughter). Between the CT scan, the surgery, the medicine and the boarding, we're already at almost $10,000 in expenses. Now, they're saying she may still have a bulging disc and they're suggesting another CT. We're heartbroken, scared for our girl, running out of money and options.

Bentley has been with me for the past 2 1/2 years,and I got him at a rescue through a lottery drawing. He’s been a healthy little boy since he became my son, and he has been by my side through me becoming disabled and losing the normal use of my legs two years ago. The disability process with our government is painfully slow, and his love Has gotten me through so much depression and Anxiety. He’s been perfectly healthy until Saturday when he suddenly lost the use of his back legs. The vet at Aloha pet hospital, Dr Cody, says he has a herniated disc, and the treatment they have prescribed is approximately $2500. We live on social security, and that’s way out of reach for us. My little guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, and has never met a stranger. If he meets an aggressive dog, he doesn’t understand, because he only wants to make a new buddy. I’ve lost so much in the past 2 yrs, (the normal use of my legs, my love of the outdoors, too much to mention, but never once have I lost his love. Now he needs me to get him some help, so he can live life. Being diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and losing normal use of my legs has caused me to be permanently disabled, and to try to survive on my social security, yet my little boy is looking to me to help him, and I owe him so much for his love he has given so freely to me.

Scrappy came into my life on February 15,2025,he is a rescue dog. He was living in place with the mother dog and other puppies that were not being feed, watered and the mother was chained up and you could see all the mother dogs ribs. She was so weak. They all were so dirty and infested with fleas. Scrappy was very energetic. He has lost weight and his anal is swollen.his Poop has blood in it. I am searching for help to be able to take my Scrappy to the vet. I love my baby Scrappy,I would be lost without him. If anyone could find it in their heart to please help Scrappy. He came a long way on a airplane to meet his Mommy & Daddy.Picked him up a CVG airport stretched those front long legs out boy was he ready to get out of that cage. He was letting us know Im home We have three different Dr's telling us it's his Trachea. I said I want one more opinion.So we took him to next Dr.& all this time this Lil Guy had to learn how to breath to survive not to mention not to be able to be a 4 year old 5 yerr old now 6 year old.Dr said Its not his Trachea it's a Upper Airway Partial Obstruction surgery cost cheapest we can find is 2500 he needs done ASAP Kam is the sweetest.very gentle Lil guy i have ever seen. Prince is living with me and my boyfriend and we are really struggle trying to pay bills and save up for his Amputation surgery. We already have spent over 1,500 dollars just on multiple check ups, X-rays and getting his splint changed every 2 weeks. Hi, my name is Demetria and my dog's name is Prince Unfortunately, when I was taking Prince on a walk, a stray pit bull came and tried to attack Prince. When the dog came close, I quickly picked up Prince, but the dog continued trying to get to him. As I'm trying to get away, the dog jumped on me and snagged Prince's arm. I took him to the vet after and they said it’s completely broken. Prince is such a loving dog, he will literally lick you all day! He loves to run, play with his toys and cuddle. He’s such a sweetheart and once people play with him they instantly fall in love! He is literally my fur baby that I call my son son! The doctor told us the only way for Prince to be comfortable is to get his arm amputated. Hearing that broke my heart but I just want him to get back to his playing, loving self! It would mean the world to me if I even get just a lil help! Anything helps

I got Jax when he was 8 weeks old from a friend who had a friend that her dog just had puppies. We talked on phone, when I was picking from litter, I said pick me the one that was born in the middle, and a male.. Jax is who i got! So Jax has a broken femur bone in his left rear leg. Ive been told that its a costly surgery, and i have no insurence or funds to cover such a cost. The other option would be to amputate the leg,, this is not a option for me because he, needs his leg.... and it still requires money to do this also.. Jax is a very social dog, very friendly and has lots of energy. He is also a tough dog, even with his broken leg he still wants to play and run around. I just shake my head in disbelief, cause i know he is in very bad pain but wont make a sound about it. So Im on a fixed income, SSI disability. I recenty was supposed to have a knee replacement myself, but Ive had to postpone this because Jax needs to get better first,, both of us cant be laid up with bad legs,, cant wait to see him play again.
