I owned pukas parents. Once Puka was born I knew she was going to be my dog. Shes been threw homelessness with me, heartbreak, and moved into my first apartment with me. Shes also had her own obstacles she's over come herself like emergency uterus removal surgery and running away for 2 months and finding her way home. Shes my best friend, my baby, my dawg and I can't see life without her. I found a lump on her chest at the end of March which is a tumor. I need to get blood work and X-rays done to see the extent of and to know exactly what we are dealing with. I took her to a low-cost clinic, The Oahu SPCA Veterinarian Clinic and Animal Shelter where they have been very helpful with my option. After the test are done I will decide what we are going to do from there. Puka loves people. She just has to great everyone around her. She loves her stuffed animals, her babies. It's funny because she knows how to keep herself busy so she will be in the bedroom alone tossing her babies in the air and catching them. Shes very attached to me, separation anxiety, and needs me as much as I need her. She makes me smile no matter how mad I am, she knows how to cheer me up. I was homeless for 10 years until a year ago. I'm not working because of my limitations to work. I'm currently receiving money from state and waiting on disability claim to go threw. I need my dog, I can't see life without her. I love her to death and beyond.

Jack

Jack is a 3 month old Flat-Coated Retriever in Wallkill, NY, who needs $2,000 for MRI to Diagnose Cause of Seizures.

While working at a restaurant, a neighboring store owner came in with Jack, saying they couldn’t keep him due to their busy schedule. With my boyfriend’s okay, we took him in. We live in an apartment with our dog Colton, and Jack felt like the perfect addition to our little family. Jack was born without an eye and has a heart murmur. I thought those were his only issues, but he recently had a seizure and may have other unknown conditions. I take him to Guardian Vet and all animals vet in ny where we’re working to get him the care he needs to live a happy, healthy life. Jack is truly one of a kind—full of life and always ready for anything, even if he can’t see it coming. Our other dog, Colton, was used to being the only pup, but he’s grown to love Jack. They’ve bonded so much lately, even sharing toys and cuddling in the same bed. It’s adorable! My boyfriend was injured at work and now works as a bus monitor while I’m a field tech. We get by, but times are tough. Jack means the world to us, and having him healthy again would lift such a weight off our shoulders. We just want to give him the best life.

Hennessy was the last of his siblings to be born. He is the son of my dog Kahlua. He was good up to 2 years ago when he was diagnosed with Evan’s Syndrome, anemia, a severe uti he was peeing straight blood. We almost lost him. He has been on prednisone, antibiotics, anti inflammatory meds, special foods ever since. The prednisone is causing skin infections & cushions disease. Now he needs a biopsy He started at Mountainview Emergency Animal Hospital in Maugensville Maryland. He went in and he got all of his diagnosis and testing. The next day we had to take him back for more testing and fluids. He is now being treated by Chambersburg Animal Hospital in Pennsylvania. 1 uti, 4 skin infections, 2 bouts of Cushings disease later he now needs a surgical skin biopsy. Hennessy has been my baby, best friend, cuddle bug and protector since day one. He is bonded with his mom and his whole family. He loves carrying around his bowl instead of barking to greet you when you get home. He loves to roll around and act goofy. When it’s nice outside he likes to be sprayed with the hose and jump around. I have been struggling with my own health issues, I’ve had two cervical fusions, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, and financial issues due to time off work. This is my girl, Molly. She is an 8 year old corgi mix that we rescued 5 years ago. She is my everything. She came from a puppy mill and was abused the first couple years of her life. I am a single mom and she means the world to my 2 daughters and I. She is not a fan of strangers but she is a huge protector of ours. We love her so very much. This morning molly jumped off my bed and hurt her foot or leg. She immediately yelped and won’t walk on it. Im so worried something is really wrong with it. Our normal vet is Countryside Veterinary Clinic in St. Joseph MO. I am on disability and that is my only source of income. I barely get by on it. Molly doesn’t go anywhere without a squeaky ball in her mouth. Playing catch is her favorite thing to do. She is a huge protector of her home and her people, my girls and I. My only source of income is SSDI and i am having financial difficulties right now and can’t afford to take molly to get her leg looked at and it breaks my heart to see her in pain.

I adopted Phoebe a little over a year ago when she was 9 months old. This morning my sweet puppy was attacked by a coyote. She has 3 broken ribs, internal bleeding and head trauma. After evaluation she may be ok with a surgery she is currently preparing for. However the cost as you know are high. Any help would be much appreciated. Phoebe is currently being cared for at Carolina Veterinary Hospital in Huntersville NC. She is preparing for surgery as we speak. They think she has a good chance of coming out of this. She came to us a few months after having lost another beloved dog to diabetes. She has been the light of our lives. She has a sweet and peppy personality. This was unfortunately a VERY unexpected traumatic situation. She is still young and has many more years ahead of her. We would love to do everything we can to save her life.

Jazzy was my 15th birthday gift. Shortly after getting her, she was hit by a car. Both her legs were dislocated and she had several pelvic fractures. I didn't think she'd make it past the surgery let alone to be 12. She loves her life and she also loves pomegranates and pickles. She never let her injuries bring her down or keep her from being a dog. A couple of weeks ago, Jazzy started losing a lot of weight. She still eats but not nearly as much. Recently we notice a growth forming in her mouth. Vet, at Cherrelyn Animal Hospital, said it might be cancer and that her teeth are most likely bothering her as well. They want to remove the growth and her teeth to improve, well everything. Jazzy's been through all my major life events. She was my saving grace. I struggle with multiple mental illness but depression being the worst. When i felt like I had no one, I knew I always had my dog. When I would cry she would lick my tears. She always made sure I was okay. When she's happy she spins. When she's nervous she shakes like a leaf. I'm a student, and my current job cut my hours. My credit sucks from being 18, and I'm not ready to lose my dog, and I don't think she's ready either.

My baby was adopted when she was 1month and a day old she was so little we had to feed her with a bottle she was a gift to my 2 daughter for Christmas but we have fell in love with her. She is so smart, playfull and a really happy baby dog. She is now 5 month old. She broke her left leg claiming the couch and she needs emergency surgery on her little leg. Some hospitals refuse to do the surgery and it's been day of pain for her and for us she can not move due to her broken leg. I just found a hospital that is willing to do surgery (coldwater animal hospital) but the cost is so high. She is really special for us, she's our little princess. She loves sleeping in my chest and play with her toys specially with the balls we tell her to go catch and she love going to my daughter room to play with them. She is a really spoiled princess she has been a blessing to my family. Her favorite persons is me, my youngest daughter and my boyfriend. This was unexpected and we don't have all that money to cover her surgery we are seeking help to do this surgery as soon as possible because she is in so much pain we don't like to see her like that. After loosing my beloved licker of 15 years this summer due to age issues I thought it was time to maybe look around. Well guess what I found my new baby Kermit at the local animal shelter. I spent 3 hours at the shelter playing with everyone and he found me. He has all the qualities I was missing. I was in love and was not coming home with out him. Well then I got the bad news. I was told her was heart worm positive. He was found as a stray very shy and scared. But he is now a very loving companion. I have already found a clinic I will be using called Neighborhood Veterinary Centers in Wallisville Texas. He is current on everything. The shelter has him on slow kill for the next 30 days. I did my research and am trying to get the funds to do fast kill. I have only had my pet for less than 48 hours. But I can not imagine loosing him because someone did not care for him and dumped him and then he got sick. I have always made sure my pets are spoiled and taken care of better than I take care of my self. But with the economy things are hard. I can keep doing slow kill but that is not recommended or as safe. I have not been working for a few years due to some medical issues. My husband is the only one working. We also have my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson living with us to help both of our situations. I lost my beloved baby(dog) of 15 years this summer.
