Master Shifu

Master Shifu is a 16 month old American Longhair in Fairfield Twp, OH, who needs $3,000 for BOVA GS-141524 Medication for FIP.

Fairfield Twp, OH

I had been bugging my husband about getting another cat so our 4 yr old female tabby would have a friend. One Friday night I fell in love with a picture of this handsome boy at our local animal shelter. I knew I had to have him! We kept the name from the shelter that was so fitting to him, Master Shifu! This boy is my heart & soul, our gentle giant with the 4 other kitten we brought in. In Sept 2025 our Shifu fell ill. Running 104-106.4° temp for 3 weeks. Our Vet ran every test she could think of and all results were perfect. Nothing came back as the cause, so we assumed a virus and gave antibiotics and fluids to get him over it. Then in Jan 2026 it came back with a vengeance and almost took him from us. He has FIP -neurological disease. The medication is expensive. Shifu is the bestest big brother, he takes care of his 4 littles and he is a great little brother who loves to give chase to our older cat. He has the sweetest soul and is such a good boy. Loves to play fetch with his ball and loves to get belly rubs! Yes, I said belly rubs! He has the most beautiful “feather duster” tail that is 16” long and he is extremely handsome in his purrfect tux. Just a couple years ago this disease FIP was fatal. But now there is medication, however it is extremely expensive. But after seeing our boy not being able to stand in his own, wishing 3-4 days of taking the medication he is walking around, a little wobbly, but walking again

Izzy

Izzy is a 9 year old Papillon in Huber Heights, OH, who needs $7,000 for IVIG: Infusion to Stop Platelet Destruction.

Huber Heights, OH

Izzy came to me at just 6 weeks old and has been my constant companion through kids, grandkids, loss, and joy. She’s fighting ITP at MedVet Dayton with Dr. Van der Walt’s team. After 7 days in ICU, she still needs another transfusion and IVIG to recover. I’ve run out of funds. Your help means hope, more time together, and a chance for her to come home. Izzy is fighting immune-mediated thrombocytopenia at MedVet Dayton’s Internal Medicine Service. After 7 days in ICU, she still needs another blood transfusion and IVIG. This is not a simple fix—without these lifesaving treatments she remains at serious risk. I’ve run out of funds and need help to give her a chance at recovery and bringing her home. Izzy is my constant joy and comfort, especially since I got her at 6 weeks old. She loves snuggling with grandkids, playing with her favorite toy, and curling up beside me during quiet evenings. She greets everyone with enthusiasm and warmth, bringing smiles and comfort to our family every day. Her loving spirit strengthens us, and losing her would break our hearts. Izzy’s ICU care at MedVet Dayton has exhausted our funds as we faced unexpected critical emergency costs. I’m on a fixed income, unable to cover lifesaving treatments she still needs. Having her healthy again means the world — it’s hope over heartbreaking loss.

Helios

Helios is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Fort Worth , TX, who needs $2,500 for Overnight Hospitalization.

Fort Worth, TX

I was told by the internet that orange cats have no brain cells. So one day when an orange kitty with orange eyes popped up I just had to take him in and see for myself. And I fear Heli took the brain cells. Sorry y’all. No brain cells for the other orange cats because Heli needs the to reign chaos over his kingdom (all 650sqft of a one bed 😂) Heli is amazing, but his story is a sad one. Heli was taken to the vet for a difficult case: blunt force trauma. On Monday 2/16 I went to work as usual and left my ex boyfriend in my home. The kitties know him so I thought it was ok. However he has been going through his own problems lately and snapped when Heli approached a bag of chicken he was defrosting. He brutally beat Heli while I was away at work leaving Heli with multiple injuries. Heli is full of life and incredibly energetic! He loves going on walks outside. Knocking over headphones, pulling command hooks off the wall and meal times. He’s super vocal and will make sure everyone in a 100ft radius knows it’s time to eat. He’s loving and trusting and loves pets and attention. It breaks my heart to know that this abuse has made him lose trust in people, but justly so. I want Heli to wake me up when breakfast is a minute late, for him to have the zoomies with his kitty siblings. No one wants to see their baby in pain; so I got him all the care he needed in the moment resulting in vet costs over $3k that my job alone cannot cover.

Buck

Buck is a 9 year old Labrador Retriever in Georgetown, TX, who needs $4,935 for Surgery to Repair Torn Ligament in Left Hind Leg.

Georgetown, TX

Buck's story began in January 2017. a birthday lovingly chosen based on the animal shelter's age estimate. This sweet Lab mix was fostered from the Waco Animal Shelter on Father's Day and quickly became the younger brother to Beaux, another adopted pup, and is a beloved member of our family, which has grown by one more adopted pup, Benny, and an infant little brother. Tuesday morning, Buck began limping. A quick visit to his vet showed he had a torn ligament in his left hind leg, requiring advanced surgery, radiographs, sedation monitoring, and medical check-ups post-surgery. Dr. Amy Mathiak at Patriot Animal Hospital will perform the surgery. She says Buck is in great health, and with surgery, we can get him back up and chasing squirrels in the backyard again. Despite all he's been through, Buck is in great health and full of spirit. His resiliency has gotten him through one ACL surgery, and 2 tumor removal surgeries (benign & cancerous caught early this Nov). On sunny days, he plays in the backyard with his brothers, and on rainy, thunderous days, he prefers cozing up in the closet. Buck can often be found watching over his infant baby brother. Buck has had many surgical procedures, with the most recent this past November for a benign tumor. With the birth of a new baby and moving to a one-income family, with the endless love he gives us, we are looking for support to help him heal and run happily again.
