Poe

Poe is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

New York, NY

Poe came into my life, Feb 16, 2018, after searching for a new pet for 8 months after my other dog Homer passed away at 14 yrs in 2017. I had spent countless hours, weeks, and months looking for the right dog. I met Poe when he was 7 weeks old. His mother was a stray from the south, had delivered 9 puppies on Christmas Day 2018. When I met Poe, it was cold, dark, rainy, thus his name E.A.Poe. In Aug 14, 2024 Poe tore his right ACL, had surgery at Hospital of Veterinary Surgery NYC. In March 9, he tore his left ACL and had an infection from right surgery to remove previous plate. In totally, Poe will have/had 3 surgeries thus far for his legs. His right plate removal and new left TPLO surgery will be done at The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center. Poe lives with 4 cats, that he likes to round up and keep in check when they are naughty. Poe is a talker and he will let you know how he feels about a situation, sometimes in a bossy, loving way, which makes sense since he is part Husky. He love nature, all aspects of nature, the changing whether, snow, rain, grass, rolling in leaves, and water, of which he has to run into like a torpedo. I work in Film/TV in Production/Acct which means some months I work, but it also means there can be long months of no work. Poe's sudden medical expenses have continued to pile up. My dog is my child and its heart breaking to struggle to find money to pay for his vet bills

Princess King

Princess King is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Fayetteville , NC, who needs $1,395 for Pyometra/Spay.

Fayetteville, NC

My Princess was given to me by my husband as a comfort gift. I had been taking care of my grandmother on hospice and she was a gift to help me heal. She has been in my life since 2014 and has been my world since. She lives with me and my 2 daughters and we have been a true sisterhood of 4 since. My Princess is what I need on a daily to get up and face the world and my support child. I love her. Princess has been going on a regular to the Dr and she goes to the spa monthly.. She has had a growth on her stomach since last year that grew bigger in Dec 2024. We ask the vet multiple times is she ok they said it was just a small growth now they said with her not being spayed she has a mammory tumor now needs emergency surgery to remove the growth for continued life. We knew something was wrong when she wouldn’t play with her cat ball nor scratch hard at the door. She usually lets me cradle her but she wants to get down. She doesn’t even want to sleep with me anymore she lays on the floor in which she never does. We all look forward to her daily greeting us at the door but now she just gets lost in the home and distance herself. She is a HYPER Yorkie. I’m on a fixed monthly income and I no additional funds to be able to afford for her surgery immediately. I have a brain aneurysm and have other issues which my income can’t cover her immediate cost. I need her, I depend on her, I must have her healthy. I love you Princess!!

Rockefeller

Rockefeller is a 11 year old Patterdale Terrier in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $2,000 for Growth Removal - Surgical Intervention.

Jacksonville, FL

April, 2014, my son and I went to the shelter to find a new puppy. Rockefeller was found with his entire litter, abandoned at 4wks old. We immediately put a hold on him, waited two weeks, and then came back to take him home. Despite his old man appearance, he's a bundle of energy. 11 years of being our best friend, our perfect pup. Three years ago Rockefeller was diagnosed with Lipomas. He had 3 at the time. The most concerning on his neck. This was aspirated by Fort Caroline Animal Hospital. And we spent the next two years monitoring his other lipomas. 5 more popped up, and a year ago, the one on his shoulder ballooned out. Due to his age, we did everything to avoid surgery. But, we finally reached surgical intervention. Rockefeller is an angel puppy. His housemate passed away after only six months. It was a tragic loss that without him, we wouldn't have recovered as quickly, or as happily. He's a spritely, adorable, and fun-loving mutt, that puts everyone into a better mood with his "old man" face. Finding out that he needs surgery is heartbreaking. We were hoping to avoid that and just let him live out his days. I had been working with his vet closely to avoid surgery. I had money saved up. I was ready for the "just in case". But then I lost my job. My roommate left. And now I have burned through my savings, and into his funds. It's tragic, and we're trying.

Moose

Moose is a 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog in Aurora, CO, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Treatment.

Aurora, CO

Moose came into my life when I needed him the most, during my final semester of college. I’d always dreamed of having a Bernese, but didn’t want to go through a breeder. After months on rescue waitlists, I found him on Craigslist. He was across the country, but I knew he was meant to be mine. A solo road trip later, and he was by my side, lighting up my world through the darkest times—my Craigslis About a month ago, I noticed a small red dot on Moose’s paw. His primary vet suspected a bug bite or infection and prescribed a cream. Within a week, it grew rapidly and was biopsied, revealing a mast cell tumor. He had surgery at Wheat Ridge Hospital, where a lymph node showed metastasis, and the tumor was found to be high-grade and aggressive. Moose will now need chemotherapy and radiation. Moose is truly the most special boy. I know everyone says that about their pet, but he really is. He’s the goofiest, most loving, and loyal companion a girl could ask for. He’s brought more joy into my life than I ever imagined. Whether it’s a mountain adventure or just snuggling on the couch, Moose is always by my side, making every moment better. I'm in medical school with no income, and Moose’s care has become overwhelming. He recently had TPLO surgery, maxing out my credit cards and Care Credit. Now, with his cancer diagnosis, I have no way to fund his treatment. Any support means the world and would give me more t
