Meadow is a 7 year old Australian Shepherd in Golden, CO, who needs $2,000 for MRI - Orthopedic Treatments.

December of 2017 I met the doggy love of my life. I stepped out of winters cold wind and into a coffee shop with my two little girls. We saw a young lady holding the most gorgeous puppy. My heart exploded and I just fell in love with this beautiful little red Merle. My girls asked permission to pet the puppy. The kind woman informed us she was available for adoption. My Meadow is in pain and it’s breaking my heart. She needs testing to determine what is going on with her low back and right hind limb. An MRI has been suggested to see soft tissue, nerves, and get a better diagnosis. We can also try physical therapy for building up strength and conditioning. Meadow is struggling with lower lumbar pain. Meadow is an Aussie. She loves being active. To see her decline a play session or walk is breaking my heart. This has been going on for awhile. I have exhausted my resources. We now need the MRI to determine the source of the issue. My husband has Severe Hemophilia A. That is a genetic bleeding disorder. He needs an ankle replacement. My oldest daughter is in her Senior Year of High School. My youngest daughter had a medical issue in December and spent two weeks in the Hospital. The savings are gone.

My 8 year old son came home from playing outside and asked if we can keep a dog. We have cats that I rescued from outside so I really couldn’t afford to take her in but once I met with the woman my son saw outside with the dog. She was just such a sweetest “old lady dog” ever and the woman told me she was taking her to the pound the next day if she couldn’t find a home for her. When I got her she looked really dirty and ragged. I cleaned her up and bought a machine to cut her hair. She just seemed sad because she’s in a new house. I noticed though as time went on that she kept licking herself in her “girl parts”, I then noticed after some time it was swollen and she keeps licking and scratching on the floor. Now she’s starting to not want to eat or pee. She needs help! She is such a sweetheart! She just wants to sit on your lap and hang out wherever you are! She’s just such a lovable dog and deserves the best! She came to me with issues and I don’t know what to do. She loves my kids, always wanting to be around us. I have a big family and cats that I rescued because in the town I live in unfortunately there’s a lot of strays. I’m on assistance to help me and my family and need help to care for this sweet little lady dog that was given to me because she was unwanted.

Bentley came into my life as a bday gift for my sister Jessica. She turned 21 YO and wanted nothing more than a pet. We never got the experience of having a pet. My mom and dad both worked so when Jessica said she wanted a pet, we laughed. She consistently visited a pet store LOL so we did a little research and Bentley entered our lives. Ben is 14 YO, diabetic and currently has pnemonia. We took him to MASH in Los Angeles, he has been struggling to breath. He has not been eating and sadly, I still have been trying He is so special in many ways, he has given me life. Personally, he is the love of my life, God didn't give me kids, but he gave me a fur baby. I look at him and everything feels better. He is so happy when I come home, he is my best friend. We have mommy doggy dates, he just makes life, life. I am not working as much. I was laid off in NOV and have been seeking work. Sadly the job market is terrible and truth - VET service is so expensive.

Lucy was a rescue from a small overcrowded home in Arizona. I've had her since she was 7 weeks old and she has been training and working as my service dog ever since. Lucy lives in a Metropolitan area with a big back yard and recieves the highest quality of love and care from her family. She is the heart to our home and makes us whole My small service dog Lucy has some sort of spinal neurological issue, they think its IVDD. She's completely lame in both her back legs and she cannot move. She is also not able to go to the bathroom on her own. We are unsure how this injury occurred but we are devastated and at a loss for words or resolution. Ive applied for every card and loan I could find with no avail. I'm desperate pleasehelp Lucy is an outgoing and friendly dog who's loyal and devoted to her humans. She is protective and devoted over our 4 year old son and has been in his life since she was born. Lucy provides not only companionship but is trained to help symptoms of my psychological conditions. She is sweet and exuberant, always happy to see people. The expenses of further diagnostics require funding that I am not able to meet even working a fulltime job. I do not qualify for care credit or scratch pay and I have not been able to obtain a loan nor do I have a cosigner. We are already living paycheck to paycheck

Mama is my love bucket rescue bestie! My family has had her since she was very young. She has watched my boys grow older like we have watched her. She is truly loved by my entire family, she never misses a party or barbecue. I recently rescued her sister Peggy Bundy for companionship as well as a somewhat daughter for Mama because it’s rather hard to mate mixed breeds and motherhood is priceless. Mama is suffering from a very severe case of periodontal disease. It really breaks my heart because with the prices set the way they are I feel like it’s nothing I can do about it. I feel like extraction is the best route which we all know is just as or more expensive as a cleaning. I have trouble sleeping some nights after hours of calling and being told prices I can’t afford. She is my very best friend. We have shared great times together. She is the best walking companion. We love the forest preserve and squirrel watching. She’s so affectionate and attentive we both cry watching the Notebook. She loves her sister Peggy Bundy and shares everything with her. She loves Christmas and walking looking at the lights, and the snow is her favorite thing in the world! Where do I start I recently lost my job and found out I was pregnant. My first son is graduating from high school in June. I am looking for work again but my doctor doesn’t recommend it because I’m a CNA which requires lifting, and my employer is fighting my unemployment!

Pringle came into my family’s life in December. He is a fantastic dog and my 3 children absolutely adore him. He has shined a light in our hearts and brought pure joy with his bubbly playful personality Possible broken leg due to a freak accident. I myself a big man was walking through my house and lost my footing after tripping on a kids toy he was behind me and I stepped on him. I feel so terrible and my children and fiancé are distraught beyond reason. I am hoping for help to fix my dog and my stupidity. Hospital - Indy vet emergency and specialty hospital Pringle is the definition of a perfect dog. Gentle and playful with my 3 kids very smart and inquisitive about all sorts of new things he gets to experience. I need help because like most families nowadays I am in a bind and take care of 3 children and support my household of 5 for the most part. This dog has softened my heart and brought me tremendous joy and new happiness

Shipmate came into my life when I was 11 and it was the best day of my life. His usual living situation is with me at my home, but currently is in the hospital right now due to an emergency. Shipmate’s medical situation is complicated and most of all expensive. He came into Veterinary Emergency Group one night due to throwing up what looks like his feces and acting lethargic after accidentally ingesting ibuprofen. He needs more hospitalization because the doctors found fluids in his abdomen. I cannot afford to keep him hospitalized anymore, but he needs to be monitored for more nights Shipmate is special in his own ways. He is very loving when he gets to know you. He loves to be with people he knows and loves pizza. He is very special to me especially because he is my comfort in life when times are tough and when times are okay. I have maxed out my efforts to keep him hospitalized for 4 nights. The doctors are saying that he most likely will need more hospitalization to be able to monitor his kidneys and GI bleed. I really want him to recover enough to be home with me and not in extreme pain anymore

Finney came into our lives when he was only 5 weeks old. We spent his first 3 weeks at home huddled up during Covid eating goats milk and teaching him how to be a little brother and how to play. The bond we share is so special after having kids young he brings such meaning to my life as they’ve all grown up, he stays the same. That is until he was diagnosed with ivdd. The progression has been fast We’ve been instructed to crate him so when I’m home he’s in a bassinet and when we’re gone he is in a 2x4 kennel. His vet is Motherlode vet clinic in grass valley ca. he has stage 2 ivdd looking like maybe stage 3 (we won’t know until he sees a neurologist) after this weeks progression. It’s up to the vet if he needs surgery. But I can’t afford the the full cost of the mri or the surgery. Finn is special because he’s special. We love him for his crooked nose and funky ear and for the way he waddles and demands love and attention from mama when ever I’m home. His best friend is Ruger, his 8 year old brother. He loves squeaky squirrels and spends his time trying to save them from his brother by burying them under blankets between couch cushions and even behind doors. We love our baby We live in California and find ourselves house poor. Bills are already tight if not late and unfortunately I was too ignorant to have signed up for pet insurance. Regretting this multiple times a day lately.
