Samuel

Samuel is a 7 month old German Shepherd Dog in San Jose, CA, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Leg Surgery.

San Jose, CA

So Samuel is a dog I rescued from Fresno along with 2 of his brothers. When I first got them they were severely under weight (skin&bones) and were terrifies of the world. All three has diarrhea and pooped and thru up the whole ride home. I was worried they might have had parvo. Today all three dogs are fully vaccinated and healthy as can be, aside from Samuels broken front right leg. So Samuel is a full German shepherd, he's 7 months old and a big boy. He's giant compared to his brothers. Samuel got out of the house and ran into the street and got hit by an unknown car, and was left in the road until animal control came and locked him up at the pound for 3 hours without medical aid. 300 paid rushed him to VEG were they found he had a broken front right leg and would need srgry I knew Samuel was special from the moment I saw him. He was massive in comparison to his brothers, and I'm talking about bone structure size. His paws were double the size of his brothers and hes built like a tank yet he is the most gentle, and loving out of the three. Always stealing kisses, super friendly and gets along with other dogs great. I wouldn't change a thing about him really Ive had a German shepherd before that was plagued with the notorious GSD badhips and If I can't save Samuels leg from amputation and it happens to him he will suffer for the rest of his life because of it. Bad hips, 1 good front leg is a recipe for disaster. I can't fail him

JJ

JJ is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Duncan, SC, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan, Medication, and Hospitalization.

Duncan, SC

JJ came into my life completely unexpectedly back in 2020. He was originally a family member's dog but they traveled a lot so he stayed with me most of the time, it got to the point where one night they took him home and he would not stop whining for anything until that morning when they brought him to me and he was fine. JJ and I could not be more alike in every single way. In 2021 JJ vet did an ultrasound on him and found that he had a liver shunt which she then put him on two medications to help manage it. JJ was doing great on the medications, acting like a normal dog, until a couple of weeks ago he had these moments where he just didn't wanna move or eat, but he would bounce back. But today was not the case I had to bring him to Upstate Emergency Vet. JJ is special because that dog couldn't be more like me in every possible way. JJ has been the one person who has always been my side and never gave up on me. Through some of my worst days, panic attacks to depression, JJ has been my support and comfort for the past 4 years. and the thought of never seeing him again or never feeling him climb on me again absolutely shatters my heart into pieces. I am currently battling agorophobia, which is another thing that makes JJ special, he helps me with exposure therapy. he's my biggest suppporter. JJ has never left my side nor giving up on me and I really want to do the same for him and not just have to put him down.

Gunnar

Gunnar is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for CCL Repair Surgery.

Middletown, CT

We rescued Gunnar from a kill shelter in Tennessee when he was only 4 months old. He was our first dog and immediately became our entire world. In February of this year, we added another pup to our family, Harley, and the two have been inseparable. They experience the world with us, from semiannual trips to Florida to watching us get engaged, they have been there for it all. At only 6 months old, Gunnar was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He was struggling to walk, sit, and play with other pups. Around the age of 1, he got introduced to the miracle drug of Librela, and he finally was able to start playing again, until this past weekend when he tore his CCL. Now, once again, Gunnar is sidelined and his only option is surgery at Pieper Olson Veterinary Hospital. Gunnar is the definition of a love bug. He has never met a person or animal he did not like. It doesn’t matter if he has known you for seconds or years, he will climb into your lap as if he is a 5lb dog and snuggle up into you. Everyone loves him for his gentle, sensitive, loving nature. His little sister is his best friend, and he spends every weekend visiting & playing with his two fur-cousins. Rocco and I are both teachers, living off a teachers salary, which we all know is minimal. Between regular life expenses, Gunnar’s monthly shot, & wedding planning, we have little to no wiggle room to afford this surgery to allow Gunnar to play free with his family again.

Reese

Reese is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Detroit, MI, who needs $2,000 for IVDD Surgery.

Detroit, MI

Reese or Reesie Pie however he is feeling that day came into myself and daughter lives as a rescue dog from the street! My daughter immediately start to cry when she seen him and we’ve been joined at the hip ever since! My daughter Chloe’ did the honors of naming him Reese because of his brown coat. Hello, Reese was rushed to Veterinary Emergency Services after becoming totally immobile, and the doctors diagnosis was Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) which is a neurological condition of the spine. It was recommended immediate surgery(which they did not offer at the location) or for him to be euthanized (put to sleep)(I CAN NOT DO IT PLEASE) because he could not go on without the surgery. Reese has been a special dog since day 1, he’s not like any other dog I’ve ever met in my life! He’s only 5 pds (3.1 now) and he’s so courageous and fearless to be so tiny! He’s cool and calm to the point we take him to the movies with us. He loves the outdoors, cuddling and slim Jim’s! Reese is family, he’s like my son that I will never have and I only have my daughter!WE NEED HIM TO BE COMPLETE Reese needing surgery is very unexpected at a time where my finances are completely low, exhausted and almost non existing! I lost my job in July and keeping up with bills has been a struggle. I do not want to lose Reese because of financial matters WE ARE BEGGING YOU…
