Sage came into my life through PetSmart adoption 9 years ago. Since then, she has been my best friend and I’ve been hers. Sage has been there for me through my high school and college graduation, my parents separation and everything that comes with life in-between. In one word Sage is sweetness. There is truly no sweeter dog on this earth and everyone who meets her immediately points that out. At Sage’s last grooming we found what thought to be an impacted anal gland and they recommended getting it looked at. At Animal Hills Hospital, we discovered it was Cancer. Although all cancers are bad, this happened to be one of the most aggressive and life threatening cancers for dogs. Early detection is vital for the chance to save Sage’s life, and I’m so grateful to PetSmart for that chance. Sage has never met a stranger. She loves humans and fury ones alike. Aside from me, her best friend is her sister Willow. Even when they’re play fighting, Willow is all attitude and Sage is all joy (prancing around instead of running). Walks with Sage are fun but can require patience since she has to say hi to every living creature she encounters. She is truly the ambassador of love. No family is ever ready for a medical emergency, especially one that requires immediate action. We found out about the cancer and in order to save her life she had to get surgery immediately after discovery. I’m a food server, and this is happening during our slowest season

A friend's pet had a litter of puppies and Realeteys Mom didn't want to feed her. She kept putting her in little trash cans under tables and beds. So my friend brought her to me at barely 2 weeks. I took her to the vet he kept her over night I went to get her that afternoon the vet gave a glove that felt like the moms tounge some formula and a bottle. I set my alarm for every 2 hours I let Realetey out for the evening to use the bathroom and then we would go shower and go to bed somebody kicked her causing her uterus to rupture I noticed a great amount of blood when she was standing on our porch. I couldnt get her to the vet until they opened at 730 am from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am she developed a bacteria infection. By that evening she was paralyzed and sent home to die My husband past away in 2019 on Thanksgiving. In Feb of 2020 I had Realetey in my life she helped me with grieving my Husband in Mar of 2020 I was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer treatments put it in dorment. By 2022 I had small cell lung cancer in my left lung my right lung was removed. Realetey hasn't left my side she has loved me back to good health. I am still fighting sclc. In the last month and half I have paid over 3000.00 just for vets to send her home to die.. She then started walking slowly and crawling she had some fight left. When she started walking again she walked on the top of her back paws now I can't afford to get them fixed

I’ve had Coco for less than a month and in the very short time we’ve had her, she has captured our hearts. She’s a riot; just like all puppies, all she wants to do is run, play, and sleep. She has also won over our other dog, Gizmo, who misses her. I’m a responsible dog owner and have never asked for help but the immense cost of an emergency is truly unbelievable. Coco was eating when suddenly began to choke. My 70 year old mother was with her when it happened. I rushed home as quickly as I could but the emergency vet hospital was at least 30 minutes from home. We finally arrived and she was quickly admitted. She is still in the hospital, now two nights. She was in critical condition but we have hope she will recover. Coco is a ball of love and has shared her love to those who have met her so far. She’s a tiny ball (2.87lbs) of love but mighty. We cannot see ourselves with out her running around like a Tasmanian devil. This was certainly an unexpected expense. I’m a responsible dog owner but I’m also a single mother with an aging parent at home. According to the vet, a reason why pets don’t survive is because owners cannot afford the necessary care. I just can’t fathom not having Coco.

Finnegan is my first dog and I got him from a FB post when he was 6 weeks old. He has a sister named Aurora he loves to play with and is very spoiled. Finn has a doggie door and goes outside to play in the backyard often. He ran down the patio stairs and his leg got caught, tearing his CCL (ligament) in his hind leg. He’s been such a good boy while taking meds to try relieve pain, but surgery is the only way he will walk right again. He’s only 3 yrs old and has a lot of life left. ANY help is appreciated. Finnegan is an emotional support animal for me and my daughter. He brings us love, joy, and relieves bad days. He’s so funny and has the best personality. He loves to play, give kisses, and is very protective. We just love him so much! This surgery is very expensive and we work hard to take care of our pets, but any amount from people who love us & Finn will help! Please only give if you can afford to. God will provide the rest!

We adopted Buckwheat in 2016, after my husbands mother passed away from stage 4 cancer. He found himself needing a companion and we found Bucky at just the right time. Buckwheat needs emergency dental surgery due to his age. Our previous vet never mentioned the importance of dental care and now that he’s a senior dog his teeth are really infected and abscessed, unfortunately. Bucky loves the heating pad, to sunbathe. He hates baths and the cold. He isn’t the biggest snuggler, but he can always tell when we need snuggles! He’s the best! Taylor and I both work full time, but are going thru a hard time. Both of our vehicles have needed replacing in under a week, and I, myself have to have ankle surgery next month so we’re saving for that.

This is an emergency and we are treating it as such just like anybody else would Joey’s are just like humans and for us to watch him suffer without any means to pay for a vet is heartbreaking to us we really need your help We were gonna sell him but he was just way too special to us we’ve grown to bond with him over time he acts just like his mom and dad he’s a little trooper It would mean the world to us to have him back healthy again we don’t want him to die I’m literally in tears writing this out just hoping and praying for help

Nike is a 1 yr old black/tan male frenchie. We bought him from a family friend with all paperwork and chip. We currently live in an apartment in Tampa Florida. He is a sweet boy. Playful, funny, outgoing, and caring. We love our dog! We see him as family not a pet. He is also my emotional support pet. Majority of the time, I thank God for him since he has helped me through some dark times. Nike was seen at the ER Tuesday 10/22/24 at Veterinary Emergency Group due to having difficulty urinating. we found out he had a stone lodged in his urethra. they were able to unblock the urine and push the stone back into his bladder so he can at least urinate. He now needs a cystotomy to remove the stone completely. I have called around and been quoted between 1500-2200 for this surgery. As stated before, Nike is like my child. I do not view him as my pet. He gets as much love from me as my children do. He has been there for me when I was emotional and needed someone to comfort me. My family loves him. I cannot see myself without my pet. I was told to surrender my pet if I couldn't afford the surgery but I cant see myself giving him up. I hope we can get the help we need for him. I was told by the vet that this surgery is crucial. if I don't get it done, the stone can obstruct the pee again and nike will die eventually. I cannot afford a $2k surgery. I hope we can get the help we need for Nike. He deserves to be happy and healthy again.

We found Reno in the city of Reno NV! She was a homeless man’s dog and he was trying to push her into traffic when we found her simply because “he didn’t want her anymore”. She is the most loving, sweetest, caring dog i’ve ever known. I’m trying to raise funds to take her to the vet because she has been limping after falling off a curb for about a week. She is a very large dog and so it’s difficult now for her to get around. Her bestfriend is her sissy, miggy. She is a pitbull mix as well and we also rescued her. They spend every second with each other and always cuddle when we are away. I’m looking for funds because i’m only 20 years old, and i have a baby on the way. I’m 7 months pregnant and medical bills for myself are difficult as it is.

I bought Red from a lady down in Clinton, Missouri in 2019. He was about 8 weeks old when I brought him home. He was my very first dog (I grew up with dogs my whole life but he was my first personal dog). I kept his name the same since it just felt right. We do not have other dogs in the house just my Red. Red has a baby brother that is two years old. We love Red so much! Red has suffered from weight loss in the last year or so. Due to an unknown cause. He has been to several other veterinary clinics with no luck of coming to a conclusion of what is causing the weight loss. In order to figure out a solution to the problem Red needs a lab drawn to look at his kidneys, pancreas and liver function. Along with a an ultrasound. These tests will cost about $900. Red is a loving boy, he loves to play and “wrestle” with his human brother. He loves to swim and run around at dog parks. He loves belly rubs and getting loved on by his grandparents. He especially loves when his uncles are in town to give him loves. The financial situation we are in is a fixed income, single mom household. Red was and is my first baby, he has been with me through all of the ups and downs. My son and I love Red with all of our hearts. We do not want him to continue to lose weight.
