Murphy

Murphy is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Golden Valley, MN, who needs $2,000 for Blood Tests, Ultrasound, and Possible Pleural Port.

Golden Valley, MN

Murphy came into our lives in late December 2020. He is a rescue from Alabama and we knew he was the SWEETEST when we first met him, we had to add him to our family. We finally took him home January 2, 2021. Since then, we have gone on many adventures as one of Murphy's favorites things is to be outside. We hike, stay at the cabin, travel to the North Shore, and so much more. On December 30th, 2024, Murphy's health suddenly changed. After a night in the hospital, the vets discovered fluid in both his lungs and abdomen. Through numerous scans, tests, and procedures over months, biopsies revealed lymphangectasia and irritable bowel disease. Despite these findings, the cause remains unclear, and the veterinarians are still trying various treatments to help him Murphy is one of those dogs that we hardly had to "train". It was as if he already knew how to be a good boy! He has had formal training w/ Mom as he has volunteered at a senior living center for pet visits. One resident, who is an artist, even made a portrait of him to show their love. He is very unique looking! We consistently get stopped by strangers and they ask, "What is he? He's beautiful!" We unfortunately do not have an emergency fund to draw from and because he's been called a "medical mystery" numerous times, we have spent close to $16,000 trying to figure out what's going on with him. We're committed to find answers for him, he's that special.

Yoshi

Yoshi is a 4 month old Mix-Breed in Huntington, Beach, CA, who needs $1,000 for Pneumonia.

Huntington, Beach, CA

Yoshi was born November 12, 2024 to a feral mother. We took him home December 24, 2024. Within the first two weeks, Yoshi started sneezing we took him to the vet for his first round of shots and within three weeks he was having a hard time breathing his nose was filled with boogers and could not breathe through his nose. In short, he has pneumonia. Yoshi is a patient of Sunstone Animal Hospital. They have been phenomenal. They have allowed us to run all the tests and do bloodwork to determine what the problem is. However, he had emergency care needed, and they would not see him without upfront payment. We reached out to Animal Allies and they assisted with the amount needed for him to be seen on emergency. We need help with the present bill We adopted our Swiss from Alfie’s kitten rescue in October and we wanted a lifelong friend for Swiss to spend time with and the kitten seemed perfect. They love each other. We love our fur babies. They are our family. They have their own cat condo. They are spoiled loved very well taken care of cats and we plan to have them throughout their life. We are a family of three single income. We have a 10-year-old son who is on Medi-Cal and we live in low income housing. With the everyday cost of life, it is hard to buy groceries. However, we make it work owning an animal is OK as long as no emergencies arise,

Chicago

Chicago is a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Lebanon , PA, who needs $2,000 for Joint Surgery.

Lebanon, PA

Chicago came into my life almost 3 years ago. He will be 3 September 24th. I got him as a puppy. My mom’s friend’s dog had puppies and my mom thought it would be good for me to have an emotional support dog. She showed me a picture of Chicago and I wanted him right away. He is my best friend. Chicago is the first pet that I have ownership of. His name is Chicago because I like the Chicago bulls! Chicago is a small dog only weighs 8 lbs. He is having issues with his hind leg knee joints on both legs. They keep popping out of socket when he walks. This issue is not going to get better on its own. He is going to need surgery. This surgery is going to cost $6000. That is not an amount that I’m able to afford all on my own. I need help to get my best friend back on his feet comfortably. Chicago loves to play fetch with all his toys. He will grab all of them and want you to throw each one. He hates the rain he runs right back inside and won’t go to the bathroom. He LOVES when I chase him around the house. we chase each other in circles. He will switch up the way he runs thinking I’m gonna go the opposite direction and not catch him. He can shake, raise the roof, and lay down. I do not make enough money to be able to afford this unexpected surgery bill. Me nor the vet thought this was going to require immediate attention. We thought later down the road this surgery would need to happen when he was at an older age. Unfortunately it affects him now.

Moomoo

Moomoo is a 12 year old American Longhair in Windham, OH, who needs $1,500 for Eye Removal Due to Lens(eye) Luxation.

Windham, OH

We rescued Moomoo 10yrs ago and she has been absolutely great. She is my emotional support kitty and has helped me through alot. She is roughly 12yrs old in great health other than chronic eye issue,we're told if would be for the rest of her life which was fine until the lens of her eye came off. We may have saved her but she saved me.now I just want quality of life for her bcuz she has alot left She has had chronic eye issue which we treat daily for the last year..a few nights ago while washing her face she had a object come out of her eye that resembled a glass marble--it was confirmed that it was the lens of her eye. We are looking at around $1500 to get the eye removed at Town N Country vet..she appt March 31st to see what our treatment plan/options are..we were told it's very painful. Moomoo was a scared rescue and it didn't take long once we got her for her to come out of her shell. If you didn't know she was a cat you would think she was a dog..we sometimes call her Catdog--f you go in kitchen she follows bcuz she knows treats are coming..she has us all trained to her needs and is such a lover even dealing with the eye issue. She knows when I need her most and now she needs ME I live with my mom and she is disabled so we live on a very fixed income. She does her best to cover our needs and just don't have $1500 right now. We don't want Moomoo in pain and we just need help in order to get her quality of life back bcuz she still has alot of life left

Petunia

Petunia is a 11 month old Mix-Breed in Palmer, AK, who needs $1,300 for Cat Scan for Chest and Abdomen.

Palmer, AK

Sweet Petunia is a true rescue cat. In January, I noticed a small kitten who looked scared and hungry. She would make eye contact with me, and I saw her several times. One day, I left the door open and left out some food for her. She came into our house and has been with us ever since. She is the sweetest cat and has been my buddy as I work from home and am often lonely. She has been a joy. Petunia had a side wound when we found her. We took her to Del Rio Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital. She had it drained, and black pus came out. It appeared to heal, but resurfaced on 3/15. The vet attempted surgery to remove it on 3/25. The vet found that the black pus is under her rib cage and so she needs a cat scan to diagnose its location and severity and further surgery to remove it. Petunia is very affectionate which is just amazing given how tough her life was on the streets. She sits with me while I study engineering, and has comforted me during times when my spouse is gone due to his service in the Air Force. She and I have developed a very special bond because I have been able to help her out of a terrible situation. She has been a joy and a comfort to me. We have spent $2,000 on her treatment so far, which was our entire savings. I am about to lose my source of income due to an Air Force move, and I am trying to finish paying for my college degree. It would be devastating to lose her but the financial stress is adding up.

Photo of Macho

Macho

Macho is a 4 month old British Longhair in Ellenton, FL, who needs $620 for Sedation, Emergency Visit, and Radiographs.

Ellenton, FL

My wife and I saved our money for years to be able to afford Macho. We always wanted a British Longhair because it reminded us of the cats we had as kids. As adults though and married with a child we couldn't afford one until the day we could. Macho is our little chubby boy. We call him chooch or our little girl calls him our little ball of fluff. Macho is such a special little family member. We didn't notice at first and the breeder never told us but Macho has swimmers syndrome. It didn't and never will change our immense love for him. We call him our little splayed kitten. That's not the issue though. The issue is he swallowed yarn and we had to take him to the ER. VMC Emergency & Speciality. We received a huge bill and are panicked because the hurricanes took all of our savings. Macho and our little 7 year old are best friends. He watches her do homework and play nintendo and they watch movies together. Macho is very chill when he wants to be but at times he can be a little pain in the butt. He likes to get behind the TV and takes any opportunity to sneak outside. We walk him on a leash and even bring him to grocery shop, yes we're weird haha. He's our family boy. We simply don't have the money to afford this unfortunate incident. The 3 hurricanes literally wiped all our savings away. Fema helped but only a small percentage. Having this finincial burden removed from us would mean so much, it truly would.
