Luce, or Goose, has been with me every day since she was born. Her real name is Lucille, meaning Light, and she truly is the light of my life. We’ve been together for 6 years now, and she’s my baby, my girl. She has two little doggy siblings, Ciarán and Stella, and her two kittens Monster and Pumpkin that she raised. Luce was always very active, running and playing whenever she could. Then she started having issues with her back… Her condition started deteriorating quickly, first unable to get on the couch, then use stairs, until she was no longer able to support her weight on her back legs. I had to rush her to Blue Pearl Emergency Vet where they diagnosed her with IVDD. Luce is the most amazingly sweet, loving dog I’ve ever seen. When I’m upset she’ll worm her way in to my lap to comfort me. When her pup siblings want to play, she gets right into it. When there’s baby puppies or kitties around that need tending, she takes care of them like a good nanny. Luce loves to hunt and play and chase things, she’s an incredible dog and loyal to her family. Her back issues are an unexpected financial hardship - I’ve been struggling financially for the last few years because my house has required several large surprise repairs to be livable since I moved in 3 years ago. She’s my baby, I can’t bear to see her suffering.

Razo Pete is a 10 month old purebred Rottweiler that we drove 18 hours to pick up from the first time I saw his picture I fell in love he had all the perfect markings and the cutest face! Rozo lives at home with his human mom, dad, brother, 4 yr old granddaughter and a two-year-old dog brother, and 15-year-old dog sister! Like most typical puppies they find things that they’re not supposed to get into with you and unfortunately, Raso has ingested something that is causing a blockage and will need surgery in the morning to remove it. His veterinarian clinic is called Athens Animal Clinic.. Rio is amazing puppy. He is great with everybody and especially the grandkids. He’s is loved by many! And he has the best wet kisses!! he loves to play with other dogs and tug-of-war is his favorite! He loves fetch ball and he’s really good at bringing it back!! And watching them with the Zumiez is hilarious, he hasn’t quite grown into his big long lengthy legs yet!! I just started back to work after being off for several months due to my own health conditions and my husband has fallen short in work hours due to no work and of course it wouldn’t be Murphy’s Law if it didn’t happen a 2wks before Christmas when any extra fund are used.

My Lucky was brought into my life by adoption. Lucky had been rescued in the woods. He was left there to die. When taken to the vet by the man that found him. They discovered how sick he really was. He had mange and had every parasite known to man. He was barely hanging on to his own life. The man got him healthy and I then adopted him. He’s now my very best friend. Lucky had gotten really sick again while I had him. He was treated and healed from that. Now Lucky has heart worms. He’s such an amazing fighter. No matter what he goes through he fights to get better. I took him to the vet yesterday. I need to come up with another $1,000. I paid $500. yesterday. I took him to High Ridge Animal Hospital. That’s how he was diagnosed. He continues to bring me joy even when he’s sick. He loves his snuggle time. And truthfully he would stay snuggled up on my lap all day, if I sat there long enough. He loves to go on walks. He never meets a stranger. He has so much love for everyone. He deserves to live a healthy life. I was laid off. I am currently back to work. It’s been playing catch up for months. And I just don’t have enough money for his treatment. I used part of my rent money while we were at the vet yesterday.

Apollo

Apollo is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Rocky Point, NC, who needs $1,700 for Amputation of Limb.

We rescued Apollo from a local animal shelter 2 years ago. He's such a sweet boy and has the most beautiful fur. We live on a seven acre homestead with three other rescue dogs, seven cats and many other animals. Apollo was injured about a year ago from digging out under our fenced in yard and being attacked by either a stray dog or coyotes. We have now since the electric around the gates. He lost all feeling to his front right arm due to nerve damage under his armpit. He was doing fine with it up until about a month ago where he has been dragging it has gotten infected. We were quoted $1,700 for care. Apollo is great with our 8-year-old daughter and our other animals. He protects our farm and loves to play. He is always there for a cuddle. We love him. We have been rescuing animals for the past 20 years. We had a life-threatening emergency to one of our dogs that we lost a year ago after losing another dog to cancer and spending over $10,000 on their medical care. We want Apollo to be in his best health and live happy.

Hi, I’m Mylo. I was adopted from the humane society almost 2 years ago. I was a little ball of fluff that everyone thought was a border collie mix until I didn’t stop growing. Now I’m 90 pounds of Pyrenees muscle. I’ve spent my time grazing through my backyard and running around the local dog parks with my best friends. I miss them all so much and I miss running in my yard. A month ago I tore my CCL. (Like your ACL) I’m limited to laying around and short trips outside on a leash. I miss playing with my best kitty pal Luna and exploring my yard. I haven’t been able to go to the park or on walks. The vet says I need to be sedated throughout the day so I don’t increase the swelling or cause more damage. I’m the most loving puppy you can imagine. I love my family and all my friends at the dog park. Everyone is my best friend except the UPS and Amazon guy, they invade my property. But once they’re at the door talking to me I’m all tail wags. I play with my toys and look out my window at the big world. I love to investigate and make sure there are no threats to my family. This was unexpected and unfortunately my mom left her job recently to find something that let her be home with all of us more. The surgery will cost around $7,000 and it’s not something we have laying around. And the longer we wait the greater chance I cause more damage.

Buddy joined our family during a time in which we were trying to grow our family. We had lost 5 babies and decided to bring a dog home to love. The Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue was where we found Buddy. He was the runt of his litter, born under a trailer, and he quickly became a beloved member of our family. Buddy was born with an umbilical hernia, which was repaired when he was fixed. Coming home is our family's favorite thing to do because Buddy is always the most excited to see each of us as we arrive. He has become an integral member of our family, and though he loves the cats who also call our house a home, they aren't as fond of him. Buddy especially loves the teen boys in the home who quickly dissolve into ridiculousness to get a reaction out of him. Buddy loves people and dogs alike. He thoroughly enjoys visiting dog parks to play with other dogs and greet people. Because he such a gentle giant, Buddy's future may include working as a therapy dog who visits children and nursing homes. Buddy's family has had him for less than a year. In that time, Buddy has overcome Parvo, a massive hot spot, a shoulder injury, and has recently been diagnosed with two torn ACLs that need surgery to repair. Buddy's mom is a high school English teacher who is back in school to become a counselor so that she and Buddy can be a counseling team. In less than a year, Buddy's family has paid for his Parvo treatment, umbilical hernia repair, hot spot, and shoulder injury.

My heart is huge for dogs, cats, and kids. Roscoe Pico Chain was given to me by my daughter's best friend's mom when they could not keep him anymore. I met a Roscoe when he was 3 months so he was no stranger to my home when he became my furson. I have 6 dogs total and 3 cats. I am a single mom with financial hardships! Roscoe is my son with her! My best friend! My joy! My all! Make a very long story short… I had experienced some traumas in the past couple years… And Roscoe was by my side each step of the way. My little partner. Always there at my ankles when I make my coffee. He loves to play fetch nonstop… He loves to be hugged, held, talked to, looked at, and is the life of the house. Again, the fact that he likes to be with me when I make my coffee his routine and I love it. He barks constantly, but I know what he is saying. He is saying I love you I love you I love you… Play play play play play play… Hi hi hi hi… Happy, happy happy happy. He is such a positive little spark of joy. His bark is not annoying… His bark brings life and joy in my household. He's comedy! This evening, Roscoe was rushed to the vet for bladder stones and was in so much pain. Had he not gone to the vet, his bladder could have burst. His bill thus far is going to be $5000-$5800. He is worth every single penny but I don't have three pennies. Again, I am divorced and just started my new job with the nonprofit that advocates for underserved young people. I'm caring for my two daughters and my grandson on my very limited income. To say this is a huge financial hardship is an understatement.

Milo was a rescue from a local kill shelter. He became apart of our family 5 years ago! He lives with us in a couple acres where he can run and play. He is the only dog we own. We love Milo and have taken care of him without any issues until now. He loves his home. He has access to a dog door but stays inside. He can run freely in our back yard. Milo and my two year old Granddaughter, Ellie are best friends! Milo is Ellie’s protector. Ellie came to live with us as an infant and Milo has never left her side since. There is a bond that was created out of love! She calls him “Milmo” since she can’t say Milo! She throws his ball for him and laughs so hard. She loves him. Milo never meets a stranger. He licks and plays with everyone. He absolutely loves playing fetch. He always has a ball in his mouth. And he is so gentle. He thinks he is a little dog and climbs in Ellie’s crib with her. He opens doors by himself and he knows many commands. He is absolutely smart, and loving! He protects Ellie no matter what. He is always by her side. Milo is extremely healthy. He has not ever had any issues. He ran into a car and then two stray dogs attacked him. He was unconscious or in shock and we had to defend him. He broke his foot completely into. It is so damaged that they wanted $7000 to complete the surgery. They told me to put him down because of his size and it being his front paw but I could not do it. Ellie loves him! But I also I financially support my Granddaughter now. She came to live with us at birth because her father abandoned her. This caused financial difficulties on us. That is why I can’t afford to pay for Milo’s surgery. I will have to chose feeding my granddaughter over Milo! 😭

Bear came into my life in the year 2013. He was given to my sister by a person that I think didn't treat Bear too well because Bear is afraid of men's feet. But my sister asked me if I wanted Bear and so I took him and he has been with me since 2013 so I've had him for quite a while and I sure do not want to give up on him now. I have other animals and Bear gets along with them real well. He gets along with most everybody but most of time he's a loner he likes to lay by himself. Now and then he'll come up to people and want petting but most of the time he lays at his mommy's feet. He's like me most of the time, he likes to be by himself like his mommy we are like two peas in a pod. First of all dogs are special but what makes Bear special is he likes to sing for his supper and when I come home he'll even talk to me let me know that he's missed me he's talked to me let me know that he's hungry and when I put on music and I tell him let's dance to even dance with Mommy so I like to go bye-bye he's the best passenger I've ever had. Bear has a mass in his right lung the veterinarian clinic is Animal Cancer Clinic of Orlando they need to do the surgery so that he will live. They said if they do the surgery he will live and if they don't do the surgery the mass will grow and I will not have my little fury baby with us any longer and I cannot see myself without my baby so please help please help. Thank you! I have a job but I was not ready for this big bill that came up I was not ready for my dog to be sick. I have other bills that must be paid and without getting help to get these bills paid I will not be able to live and take care of the other dogs that I have and to have him healthy.
