Chewie

Chewie is a 5-year-old Boxer mix in Hutto, TX, who needs $1,500 for Ccl surgery.

Hutto, TX

We found chewie as a puppy from spca. It was love at first sight! We were told that he would be 45 pounds. Well 86 pounds later 😂 he is the gentlest giant We have ever met! He has the goofiest personality and loves to cuddle. We live in a two story house with a large yard it has made it very hard for. Chewie to get around upstairs and around the yard since we have a large hill in back Chewie loves to curl up on the couch to sleep at night. He and his buddy Bruce Wayne are inseparable, they love to wrestle and chase each other around the yard, or just lounge in the sun together. We love to go on walks together and get outdoors. Chewie never meets a stranger and thinks everyone should stop to say hi and pet him. Due to COVID-19 money has been tight, and any savings and credit we had has already been used to survive over the last year. This is breaking my heart to watch my poor baby suffer in pain. If he gets this surgery it would mean our happy sweet boy will be able to play again Chewie was playing in the snow when he slipped and fell and tore his ccl in his knee. So now he hobbles around three legged and in pain. Because of his large size if he does not have surgery to repair it he will likely injure the other one as well, and be in constant pain. Dr Moreman at firehouse round rock says we need to have X-rays and then surgery as soon as possible. Chewie loves to play catch and when it does snow here, which is not often, he thinks catching snowballs is fun and confusing!😂. Chewie got his name because he chewed on your hand when you petted him. We soon learned to hold a toy for him chew on. Those baby teeth hurt! Thank goodness he grew out of that and now we think scooby would have been a better name because he is a talker!

BEAR

BEAR is a 3-year-old Mixed in Mableton, GA, who needs $1,975 for Heartworms treatment.

Mableton, GA

Bear is my perfect rescue baby. He was one of the dogs that had been in the shelter the longest. It was love at first sight and I can not imagine my life without bear. When he first joined our family he was so scared and shy. He is now 3 years old and spoiled rotten. When we took bear for his yearly check up we were informed he has tested stage 2 heartworm positive. Please help me save my baby. Bear has added so much joy and life back to my family. We love to go on walks, play in the backyard, goes on vacation with us. When I get home from work to see his beautiful face makes all my stress melt away. If he sees a bag in my hands he gets so excited knowing he has a treat or new toy. When we are in the backyard he loves to watch the birds or sit in the swing with me. He is perfect! We are a family that lives pay check to pay check. I don't know how to provide the money for bears treatments. This is a very unexpected expense, but I have to save my baby. I have already maxed out my credit card on his xrays and bloodwork. When we took Bear for his yearly check-up, they discovered he is stage 2 heartworm positive. He has never been sick before so my shock to learn this. We had the xrays and bloodwork completed, but there is a long process to save my baby. His next step is to stay over night at the vets and start his treatment. I have attached a picture that explains the treatment and vets information. The funny things my baby does, where do I start? He likes to play super puppy. I will ask bear where is super puppy, he will lay on his back with his front legs stretch out as if he is flying. Then he looks at me and smiles. He loves to be tickled under his front legs and laughs. He knows how to shake, high five and sit He had come a long way from being a shy baby in a shelter

Baby Girl

Baby Girl is a 7-year-old Terrier Blend in framingham, MA, who needs $2,000 for Severe Mange Treatment/Skin Infection.

framingham, MA • as sweet as a peach animal rescue

Baby Girl found her way into the Fort Worth County Animal Shelter in Texas as an owner surrender, along with her sister, Queenie. Both sisters were set to be euthanized to no fault of their own as it only pertained to lack of space. As Sweet as a Peach stepped in and saved these two sisters with only minutes left to spare. Their lives were saved and they have been given a second chance. Currently, Baby Girl and her sister, Queenie, are waiting to travel up North so they can be adopted into new and loving homes. These girls are so loving and always love to be around one another. The only things stopping them at this time is Baby Girl's health. Her skin needs to improve before she is well enough to travel. It's hard to imagine that these gals found themselves facing euthanasia. They are the sweetest pair. Even with Baby Girl's skin condition, she doesn't let that hold her back from giving the cutest smile and tail wags. Once her hair fully grows back, she's going to be even more gorgeous than she already is. While her sister, Queenie, appears the healthiest of the two, Baby Girl has been severely neglected and her coat and skin reflect that. She has a skin infection that has caused major hair loss and discharge that needs to be addressed quickly. She's currently staying at Callaghan Road Animal Hospital for further care. As Sweet As a Peach is a 501c3 registered rescue that helps save dogs facing euthanasia in Texas. They save dogs like Baby Girl every single day and give them a new beginning to what could have been their end. Please consider helping so they can continue saving lives.

Bonnie

Bonnie is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Santa Barbara, CA, who needs $6,019 for Medial Patellar Luxation, Bilateral.

Santa Barbara, CA

We adopted Bonnie a few months ago when she was just a perfectly healthy, happy, and energetic puppy. She is a Chihuahua and jack Russel mix and definitely acts like it. She's so energetic and loves playing outside in our yard. Due to a series of unfortunate moves that drained our emergency fund, we haven't been able to pay for Bonnies surgery to let her live her life to the fullest. In the past 3 months however, we noticed Bonnie not using her back legs as much. She now walks around and stands in this old crouched position. When we brought her to our vet, and got a series or X-rays, we realized she has luxating patella in both of her hind legs which is a genetic condition that if we let it progress can make it so she can't use her hind legs We originally got Bonnie to be trained as an anxiety dog. But as time progressed we now like to say we sure the anxiety. She is the sweetest little dog who follows me around the house all day long begging to be cuddled and played with. She's a fiercely loyal dog who will bark at any man she doesn't know if they walk into our property. most importantly, she's a bundle of energy who loves to play. We had some sudden moves unfortunately that completely drained our emergency fund, and as a single parent middle class family, we don't have the money to pay for Bonnie's surgery. however, with this surgery Bonnie will be able to gain full function of her hind legs.

Baylee

Baylee is a 2 year old French Bulldog in Lavista, , who needs $4,000 for BOAS Surgery.

Lavista

Baylee joined us Christmas Eve. I held and sang to her for the 3-hour drive home. We soon found she is deaf and partially blind. The breeder only offered to take her back, but we knew she wouldn’t be safe there. Now, she’s our "velcro dog," inseparable from her Boston and Westie brothers. She knows sign language and sleeps by my side every night so I can monitor her breathing through the dark. Baylee has severe BOAS. Even after a partial palate surgery, she gasps for air and needs a nebulizer to breathe. Eating and sleeping are constant struggles. She is a patient at Papillion Animal Hospital, and we are working to get her to a specialist at Lone Tree. Her snorting isn't cute; it’s a battle for oxygen. She needs this surgery to stop the coughing and finally breathe freely. Baylee is pure joy and energy. She loves the dog park and wrestling with her brothers. She is so bonded to us that she cannot be kenneled or separated; she once cried for hours at my work looking for her siblings. We fear she would die of heartbreak in a rescue. She feels safe and deeply loved here. She communicates through signs and a "velcro" devotion that keeps our family whole. Surgery estimates are $2,500–$6,000. We manage our other dogs' needs, but this is beyond our reach. To have Baylee healthy means she can finally sleep without gasping and play without fear. Your support keeps our girl with the family she loves and gives her the gift of every

Roxy

Roxy is a 9 Year Old American Pit Bull Terrier in Berkeley, CA, Who Needs $2,000 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal, Possibly Malignant Cancer.

Berkeley, CA

A month ago, my partner and I were driving home and saw Roxy walking by herself, on a busy street. We were able to get Roxy to come with us. The next day we brought her to animal services where they scanned her chip and had a vet look at her and do biopsies, which showed cancer. The owner didn’t want her so I went to get her. She’s had a rough time. We want to give her the best life possible. Roxy has numerous mammary tumors, a mast cell tumor at her left inner knee, and what is likely a keratin tumor on her toe pad that all need to be removed. She also needs an abdominal ultrasound and chest x-rays to see if her cancer has spread, so we can determine if surgery would save her. Her primary vet is at the San Anselmo Animal Hospital, but we may need to take her to UC Davis for oncology. Roxy was abandoned by her owner a few years ago and has lived with a few different homeless people recently. We found her walking on a busy street and she was very hungry and thirsty. Despite the fact that she’s had a rough time she was so sweet. Right when we brought her home she tried to press her face against us and wanted to be close to us. She loves to cuddle and is very smart. A month before finding Roxy we lost our beloved, healthy, playful dog. After spending nearly 10k it was finally discovered that she had an inoperable brain tumor. We tried everything to save her. Because of this we can’t afford to save Roxy by ourselves. We need help.

Finn

Finn is a 2 Year Old Mix-Breed in Cottonwood, AZ, Who Needs $2,500 for Biopsy.

Cottonwood, AZ

I rescued Finn from our local humane society 2 days after losing my 14yr old. He helped me heal through her loss. I have now had Finn for 8 months and he is 2yrs old, 3yrs in January. Finn and I live alone, and as with my girl that I lost I can't imagine being without him. Finn's name came from a TV show that I loved, and I just really love the name. About 2 months ago a mass was found on the right side of Finn's jaw that had already taken over his mandibular. I took him in because he was trying to stretch his jaw a lot. He is also losing muscle in the top right side of his head. It is thought to osteosarcoma, but he needs a biopsy in order to diagnose and treat. Finn's vet is Dr. Armstrong with Circle L animal hospital in Chino Valley, AZ. Finn has 2 favorite people in his life. His pet sitter Celina and Michael who comes over to play with him. Finn is quite the talker and carries on conversations with me quite often, especially when I tell him no:) Finn absolutely loves the water and hiking. Finn is very much a people dog and loves his humans. He is a beautiful, silly and amazing dog and I can't imagine losing him so soon. I have my own cancer scare going on right now and am very in debt with medical bills. Finn is on 3 medications and 2 supplements as well as I am making his food from home right now. The biopsy he needs is $2500 and I have tried getting loans. Please help my boy Finn.
