Hamlet needs help after being found tied to a stop sign, blind and in pain

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Hamlet is a young, gentle dog who has already been through unimaginable suffering. He was found tied to a stop sign, completely alone and blind. Rescuers soon learned why — both of Hamlet’s corneas had ruptured, likely after a long period of untreated infection or trauma. The pain he must have endured is beyond words. Hamlet sat helpless and blind, waiting for someone to care. Thankfully, Animalluvrs Dream Rescue stepped in just in time to save him. Hamlet was immediately taken for emergency care, where veterinarians determined that his eyes could not be saved. He underwent surgery to remove both eyes, freeing him from the constant agony he had silently endured. Now, Hamlet is recovering and beginning to heal — not just physically, but emotionally. Even without sight, he’s showing everyone his resilient spirit: wagging his tail, leaning in for affection, and trusting the humans who finally showed him kindness. Your support can give Hamlet the second chance he deserves. Donations will go directly toward his surgery costs, medications, and continued recovery care as he learns to navigate the world safely and confidently. Update 10/29/25 Hamlet’s eye biopsies came back BENIGN! While his eyes were in rough shape and removing them was absolutely the right choice, there’s no cancer or serious disease found. We’re so proud of Hamlet for being so brave through everything and are thrilled that he’ll get to live comfortably and happily — finally free from pain. Your support can give Hamlet the second chance he deserves. Donations go directly toward his surgery costs, medications, and continued recovery care as he learns to navigate the world safely and confidently.

Rosie’s Road to Recovery – Healing Inside and Out

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Rosie wandered alone onto a stranger’s property—emaciated, exhausted, and clinging to life. The homeowner, heartbroken at her condition, did the right thing and contacted Animal Control. It was immediately clear Rosie needed more than just a shelter—she needed urgent medical care and compassion. That’s when Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue stepped in without hesitation. When Rosie arrived, her condition stunned even the most seasoned rescuers. She was skin and bones, her frail body barely able to support her. She was covered in dried mud, crawling with ticks and fleas, and her face—oh, her sweet face—was ravaged with necrotic, infected wounds so severe that her bone was exposed. We may never know what happened to Rosie, or how long she suffered. But we do know this: Rosie wants to live. She was rushed to the emergency vet, where they immediately started pain management, antibiotics, and IV fluids to stabilize her. She’s now under constant care, finally receiving the love, medical treatment, and comfort she’s been denied for so long. Rosie’s journey to healing will be long and costly—but with your support, we can give her the life she’s always deserved. Please consider donating to help us make that possible.

Three Legs, One Purr-fect Peach

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

At just 7 weeks old and weighing only 1.12 lbs, little Peach has already endured more pain than any baby animal should. She was brought to Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue through a local shelter with a severely swollen front leg, unable to walk or bear weight. Her condition was critical — but she never stopped fighting. Veterinary exams and radiographs revealed the heartbreaking truth: Peach was suffering from a large abscess, a broken leg, and osteomyelitis — a serious bone infection that had already caused irreversible damage to her elbow joint. The only way forward for Peach is a difficult but necessary one: amputation of her front left leg. It’s the best chance she has at a life free from constant pain. But despite everything, Peach continues to amaze. She eats on her own. She purrs when touched. She looks at her caretakers with eyes full of trust and quiet resilience. This tiny kitten has the heart of a lion. Peach is a survivor, and with the support of compassionate animal lovers, she can heal — and thrive. By donating, you can help give Peach the chance at healing and happiness she so deeply deserves. Update 8/9/25 Peach had her leg amputation and has been recovering beautifully! Peach has been thriving ever since receiving the care she needed. Nothing can slow this girl down

Burrito Was Just Starting to Heal…Now He’s Fighting for His Life

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Burrito was one of 19 dogs confiscated in a neglect case and taken in by Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue in collaboration with HCPRC. While little is known about his past, his condition upon arrival said everything: he was terrified, in pain, and desperate for help. When Burrito was rescued, his tiny body was nearly hairless. His skin was raw, inflamed, and severely infected, suffering from a painful combination of flea allergy dermatitis, demodex, and untreated skin disease. He trembled with fear — unsure if the hands reaching for him would hurt or heal. Once safe in foster care, Burrito began to blossom. With gentle love and dedicated treatment, he started to heal. His appetite returned, he discovered toys, and even began to show his little voice — yipping to announce himself, tail wagging with joy. Until everything changed in an instant. Burrito’s foster mom returned home to find him unresponsive and in distress. His body was cold, he had lost control of his bladder, and his eyes were darting uncontrollably — a frightening sign of neurological trauma. Burrito is currently hospitalized at the ER receiving critical care. This is a devastating and urgent situation — but Burrito is a fighter. Please consider donating to help Burrito receive the treatment and diagnostics he needs to get better.

Surgery for Kewpie: Repairing a Broken Leg and Restoring His Spirit

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Meet Kewpie, a sweet, brave 5-month-old puppy who is facing an uphill battle. When Kewpie arrived at the shelter, he was underweight and suffering from a serious injury to his right hind leg. The poor little guy is in pain, but his spirit hasn’t been broken. He’s a fighter. Radiographs revealed the heartbreaking truth: Kewpie has a comminuted fracture of the left tibia and fibula, with multiple fractured pieces and significant soft tissue swelling. It’s a devastating injury for such a young pup, and without surgery, his leg may never heal properly, leaving him with lifelong pain and a limited future. Kewpie is scheduled for surgery next week, but the costs are steep, and Animalluvr's Dream Rescue needs your help to make sure he gets the care he deserves. The surgery will be the first step toward healing, but there will be follow-up treatments and a long recovery process ahead. Right now, Kewpie's leg is bandaged, and he’s being monitored closely, but he can't stay in this state for long. Kewpie has so much love to give, but he needs to get through this painful chapter before he can truly enjoy the world around him. He deserves to run and play like any other puppy, but he needs your support to make that happen. Update 3/14/25: Kewpie (now Leonardo) is one month post-surgery and doing amazing! He loves dogs of all sizes, kids, cats, and people. He is extremely affectionate and well-mannered. We know the perfect family is out there waiting for him!

Help this Gem Shine Again: Your Donation Will Help Opal Live Pain-Free

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Opal’s story begins in heartbreak. At just 8 months old, this sweet kitten was found alone as a stray, presumed to have been hit by a car. The trauma left her with two broken femurs and a fractured pelvis, leaving her unable to move or seek help. A local shelter took her in, but was unable to provide the intensive veterinary care she desperately needed. For days, she sat at the shelter, waiting for someone to notice her, waiting for a chance, but no one came. Opal’s future seemed uncertain, until Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue stepped in. They believed that with the right care, she could heal and thrive, and they wanted to give her the second chance she deserved. Opal was rushed into the care of the rescue, and immediately taken to the vet; a skilled surgeon was brought in to repair her injuries. It was determined that her injuries weren’t recent – meaning that Opal had been living in pain for much longer than anyone realized. But here’s the good news: Opal is a fighter. The surgery was successful, and despite everything she’s been through, her prognosis is hopeful. With the right care, proper rest, and all the love she can handle, Opal is on her way to recovery. This sweet girl has a future ahead of her — a future filled with comfort, safety, and love. The road to recovery isn’t easy, and the medical costs are high. But with your support, Opal will have everything she needs to heal and grow strong. Your donation will provide her with the ongoing veterinary care, pain management, and rehabilitation she requires. It will help her move from pain to healing, and eventually, into the arms of a forever family who will cherish her for the rest of her life. Update 12/30/24: We’re thrilled to share that Opal is recovering beautifully! This sweet and happy kitten is growing stronger each day, thanks to the love and care she’s receiving in her foster-to-adopt home. She’s full of energy and snuggles, and we’re so grateful to see her thriving! However, while Opal’s recovery is on the right track, she still has a bit more to go before she’s 100%. She’s getting all the attention she needs, but her medical bills remain. Your support continues to be essential as we help Opal fully heal and become the healthy, happy kitten she’s meant to be.

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

At just 6 weeks old, little Mac was found as a stray. He was brought into a local ER by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. They had been syringe-feeding him, trying to keep him alive, but when Mac began vomiting and became unresponsive, they knew he needed urgent help. After numerous tests and x-rays, the vet team determined Mac’s condition wasn’t life-threatening but found foreign material in his intestines—likely from eating something he shouldn’t have while trying to survive on the streets. Mac was hospitalized overnight, and thanks to the dedicated care of the ER staff, he pulled through. Mac is on the road to recovery, and he is showing to be playful and loving like a kitten should be, but his recovery journey isn’t quite over yet. His ER visit resulted in a $2,200 bill, and he will need additional vetting before he’s ready for adoption. Mac deserves a fresh start and a life filled with love and safety, but we can’t do it without your help. Your donation can give Mac the chance to grow up healthy, happy, and surrounded by the care he deserves. Every dollar makes a difference. Update 1/3/2025: Mac is making incredible progress! Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Tyson, a gentle 7-year-old pit bull mix, faces unimaginable hardship. Once adopted into what was hoped to be his forever home, Tyson was recently found in dire condition, his body weakened and his spirit fragile. Despite numerous attempts, his former adopters were unable to be reached, leaving Tyson dependent on Animalluvr's Dream Rescue—and kind-hearted supporters like you. When Tyson was rescued, he was suffering immensely. His abdomen was painfully distended, his body burdened with fleas, and he was too weak to eat. Tests revealed the heartbreaking cause: a large abdominal mass pressing on his small intestines and colon, causing severe discomfort and preventing food from passing through. Tyson has endured so much in a short time. He required an emergency blood transfusion to combat severe anemia, followed by a life-saving splenectomy to remove the mass. Now, he’s recovering in the hospital, fighting with all the strength he has left. But Tyson can’t do it alone—he needs your help. Your donation will go toward covering Tyson’s extensive medical costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings Tyson one step closer to a full recovery and a brighter future. 11/28/24: Amazing news, everyone! We’re thrilled to share that Tyson’s splenic biopsy came back benign! This is such a huge relief, and we couldn’t be happier to report that he is doing well. While this is a huge victory, Tyson’s journey is not over just yet. The next step is to begin treatment for heartworm, but we’re confident he’ll keep fighting strong with all of your love and support behind him. 12/30/24: Tyson is doing absolutely amazing overall—he’s been gaining weight beautifully and is making great strides toward a full recovery. 🙌 We’re so excited to share that he should be finished with his heartworm treatment by February! Tyson's skin and coat are still a little dry and flaky at times, but thanks to your generous donations, he’s been getting the omega supplements he needs, along with a fantastic diet that’s helping him shine. 2/12/25: Sweet Tyson is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He has two more months of very calm, relaxed crate rest and then he'll be ready for freedom! He is still looking for a forever family and hopefully will find his perfect home soon. 2/18/25: Tyson has begun his heartworm treatment. Despite the discomfort of the injections, he remains the sweetest dog who just wants a lap to snuggle in. He has an abundance of love to give, and we can't wait for him to find his perfect forever home!

Suffering Senior Dachshund, Harvey, Found Wondering the Streets with Severely Infected Wound and Mouth

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Harvey's story is nothing short of heartbreaking—he was found emaciated on streets with a gaping hole in his face, a fistula in the roof of his mouth, and a severe dental infection. It is clear he has been suffering for far too long. Unfortunately, Harvey's medical conditions are severe. The extent of the bone loss surrounding his eye means that the only option to close his facial wound is to remove that eye. This procedure is necessary to ensure his comfort and to prevent further complications. His eye was removed, so the wound on his face was finally able to be closed, but his journey doesn’t end there. Harvey will also require a full mouth extraction to eliminate the source of his dental pain and allow him to heal completely. This process will give him the chance to experience the joy of a pain-free life. Harvey may be a senior, but he still has so much love to give. Animalluvr's Dream Rescue is determined to provide Harvey with all the care he needs to live a happy, healthy life. Your donation will help sweet Harvey receive his second chance at life!

Percy

Percy is a six-month-old Chihuahua in Lutz, FL, who needs $2,000 for blood transfusions and emergency care.

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

During his greatest hour of need, Percy was surrendered to an animal hospital by his guardians. The staff reached out to us here at Animalluvr's Dream Rescue, hoping we could be Percy's saving grace. We believe we can make a difference in Percy's life with your support! Percy had an extremely rare reaction around his microchip implantation site and fluid accumulated in his delicate neck area. His pet parents brought him back to the veterinarian. They found he had severe anemia. Sadly, when the family heard this, they gave him up. Percy started to feel better after a blood transfusion, but then his bloodwork showed he wasn't improving as everyone hoped. Then, his wound formed an abscess. He needed a second blood transfusion, and he continues to require intensive care. We don't want anyone to be "down" about microchipping because microchips are a lifeline for reuniting dogs and cats with their families. This situation is not typical! But we do need your help raising the money for Percy's medical bills so he can one day find a new, loving family. Animalluvr's Dream will give him every chance at recovery. Please give to help Percy! Update 8/23/24: Percy continues to be a bit of a mystery case, but after a rough week of testing, transfusions, and medications, he is doing MUCH better. His recent pathology results suggested to continue with iron supplements and antibiotics, and we are hoping he will continue to improve! Update 8/31/24: Percy was rushed to the veterinary clinic after he started crashing at his foster's. His blood isn't clotting properly and his gums are extremely pale. Percy is getting a ton of testing done and we are hoping to get some answers soon! Update 9/1/24: Percy is still hospitalized, but he is bright and alert, eating and drinking, and overall in good spirits. He had an infusion last night and is now on fluids. We are still waiting on lab results that check for more rare diseases. Update 9/2/24: Percy was discharged last night! He still has hookworms despite being treated for them multiple times, so he has started a new medication since they seem to be resistant to what he's been on. However, the hookworm infection is secondary to what is causing most of his problems. Based on preliminary testing, the vets believe Percy has hemophilia. We should get more in-depth test results back until later this week. In the meantime, Percy is doing great and home and taking it easy. He is getting his puppy booster vaccine today while the plasma transfusion is still actively doing its job and once more stable, he will be neutered and receive infusions as needed to keep him stable. Update 9/11/24: Percy has officially been diagnosed with a severe clotting disorder — hemophilia type A. This is a genetic mutation, and there is no cure. Basically, Percy (and his future owners) will need to be extra careful throughout his life to prevent him from unnecessary bumps, bruises, scrapes, etc. Routine things like vaccinations and nail trims can be dangerous for him if not done properly and with extra care. He will need to be close to vets that can give him blood transfusions when needed. This sweet boy doesn’t know that his life may be a bit more difficult than other puppies, and he certainly hasn’t let his diagnosis keep him down! He is full of energy, very playful, and loves people. Percy will need an extra special home looking for an extra special pup to join their family.

Bao is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Lutz, FL, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Body Surgery and Hospitalization.

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Animalluvr's Dream Rescue Animalluvr's Dream Rescue rushed Bao, one of their adoptable dogs, to BluePearl after he experienced some worrying symptoms including lack of appetite, vomiting, and just not acting himself. After x-rays and bloodwork, it was discovered that poor Bao has a foreign body stuck in his intestines. It’s impossible to know what it is based on the imaging, or how long it’s been there. His current treatment plan is stabilizing him and then discussing next steps with a surgeon. However, with his blood pressure and electrolytes not being where they should, the surgeon is not comfortable performing surgery. The current plan is to continue aggressive fluid therapy and recheck his levels soon in hopes he will be stable enough for surgery. This bill is unexpected and we already have so many vet bills we owe for the other animals in our care. We will do whatever it takes to help Bao, but we NEED your help. Update: Bao has recovered amazingly well after his foreign body surgery. It is still unclear what he ingested but we will be keeping a very watchful eye on him. He is back at his foster home with his other half Tang while they wait for their perfect forever family! We are so incredibly grateful Bao is back to himself, but our bills still remain. The cost of his ER hospitalization and surgery is approximately $10,000. Please donate!

Rey

Rey is a DSH kitten in Lutz, FL, who needs $2,000 for an MRI.

Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue

Rey and her four brothers were born to an outdoor mama kitty and lived outside until they were scooped up at 5 weeks young. Since then they have been in a foster home, where it was quickly discovered that Rey was very much special needs. She would sometimes get lost and confused in her foster room, unable to find the litter box, staring into space while meowing non-stop. Rey uses her left paw to feel out the food and water bowls by putting it inside of the bowl before starting to eat or drink. She tends to have a hard time finding her wet food and needs assistance eating. She also always puts that left paw forwards as well when sitting or standing, almost as if she is using it to guide her. At this time, we desperately need help fundraising for Rey's MRI, which is estimated at $3,700. An MRI would help us confirm, or eliminate some of the potential diagnosis that have come up, such as vestibular issues, or even worse, like a mass. We have had bloodwork and urinalysis done, which have revealed that Rey has a large amount of protein, blood and crystals in her urine, which is also making her kidney values borderline high. We have started her on prescription food, both dry and wet to hopefully avoid any further issues. Rey has also seen Dr. Levine, a neurologist who is recommending an MRI due to her odd behavior. Rey has been meowing increasingly more and sometimes no amount of comfort, pets or snuggles helps. She has also started to exhibit very odd behavior by getting on her back feed, swinging back and forth while meowing - video attached. All of these odd behaviors are very concerning and could potentially mean a very serious diagnosis.
