Help Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption Say "Yes" to More Animals in Need

Sanford, NC • Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption

Every day, Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption faces impossible decisions. An elderly dog whose owner passed away, now beginning treatment for heartworm disease. Tiny kittens abandoned in a tote bag with no one to care for them. A cat suffering from a life-threatening urinary blockage. Animals who have been abandoned, neglected, or left with nowhere else to turn. The rescue never wants finances to be the reason an animal doesn't receive the medical care they desperately need. Saying "yes" to vulnerable animals in need often comes with significant veterinary expenses. This fundraiser will help Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption pay down outstanding veterinary expenses from animals they have already saved, allowing those funds to be redirected toward the next emergency waiting around the corner. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that when another animal arrives needing urgent medical care, the rescue can focus on saving a life instead of worrying about whether they can afford treatment. No animal should lose their life simply because of the cost of veterinary care. By supporting Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, you're helping remove financial barriers so more dogs and cats can receive the treatment, compassion, and second chances they deserve. Thank you for helping Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption continue saying "yes" when vulnerable animals need them most.

Tiny Chiclet Needs Eye Surgery to Live Pain-Free

Sanford, NC • Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption

At just 5 to 6 months old, Chiclet should be spending her days chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and discovering the world around her. Instead, this tiny kitten is living with a painful eye injury that can only be resolved through surgery. Chiclet was taken in by Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, where she is finally receiving the care and compassion she deserves. After being evaluated by a veterinarian, it was determined that her injured eye will need to be removed to relieve her pain and prevent future complications. Right now, Chiclet is still too small for surgery. She must reach at least 2 pounds before she can safely undergo anesthesia, so her rescue team is carefully monitoring her growth while making sure she stays comfortable until she is ready for her procedure. This fundraiser will help cover Chiclet's veterinary examinations, surgery, medications, and post-operative care so she can recover safely and enjoy a happy, pain-free future. Despite everything she has been through, Chiclet is still just a kitten with her whole life ahead of her. With your support, Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption can give her the medical care she needs and the second chance she deserves. Thank you for helping sweet Chiclet take the next step toward a healthy, comfortable life.

Thrown Away at 12, Tofu Still Deserves a Second Chance

Sanford, NC • Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption

At 12 years old, Tofu should have been spending her golden years surrounded by love and comfort. Instead, she was cruelly thrown from a moving car and left behind. Thankfully, a compassionate witness saw what happened and brought her to the safety of Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, where she is finally receiving the care she deserves. As Tofu began settling into rescue, she developed a persistent cough and was taken to the veterinarian for evaluation. During her examination, the veterinary team discovered that she may be suffering from congestive heart failure, a serious condition that requires ongoing monitoring and treatment. Tofu has already started heart medication in hopes of improving her condition and helping her breathe more comfortably. While her rescue team remains hopeful that the medication will help, she will continue to need veterinary care as they monitor her response to treatment and determine the best plan for her future. This fundraiser will help cover Tofu's veterinary examinations, diagnostics, medications, and ongoing medical care as Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption works to give this sweet senior girl the comfort and quality of life she deserves. After everything Tofu has been through, she deserves kindness instead of cruelty, comfort instead of fear, and a future where she is surrounded by love. Thank you for helping Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption give Tofu the second chance she deserves. 7/31/26 Update: Tofu- Thrown from a car at 12 years old At 12 years old, Tofu should have been spending her golden years surrounded by love and comfort. Support George’s Emergency Surgery and Post-Op Care Costs

Sanford, NC • Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption

George is a 30 lb sweet boy who came to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption after being surrendered due to his owner’s health issues. His owner reported he had a known history of urinary problems and was previously on a prescription urinary diet. From the moment he arrived, George quickly won everyone over with his calm, loving personality. Despite his sweet nature, it was clear he had been struggling with significant medical issues, including severe obesity and underlying urinary concerns that required immediate attention. By the following morning, he was found in severe discomfort with blood present and clear signs of a serious urinary emergency. He was immediately taken to the veterinarian, where initial treatment with antibiotics and a prescription diet was started. However, his condition continued to decline, and it quickly became clear that emergency intervention was required to save his life. George was rushed into emergency bladder surgery just days ago to relieve a life-threatening urinary obstruction. The surgery was successful, and he is now safely recovering back in the care of Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption. This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of George’s life-saving emergency surgery, hospitalization, diagnostics, and ongoing post-operative care. These critical medical expenses have already been incurred Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, and continued support is still needed as he heals. George still requires medications, monitoring, and recovery support to ensure proper healing and prevent complications. Despite everything, he remains the sweetest boy—affectionate, gentle, and deeply loved by the rescue team caring for him. Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption remains fully committed to his recovery, and your support helps offset the cost of the emergency surgery and ongoing care that gave George a second chance. 7/8/26 Update: Remembering George It is with heavy hearts that Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption shares that George has passed away. After recovering from his initial emergency bladder surgery, George developed another urinary blockage that required immediate emergency surgery. Despite the veterinary team's best efforts and the unwavering commitment of the rescue to give him every possible chance, George sadly did not survive the procedure. Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption is deeply grateful for the kindness shown to George throughout his journey. Thank you for giving this sweet boy the chance to receive the care he deserved and for standing beside him every step of the way. Most importantly, George spent his final days surrounded by love, comfort, and people who were determined to fight for him. Your support continues to help the rescue provide lifesaving medical care to other animals facing emergencies, ensuring more pets have the opportunity for a second chance. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for honoring George with your compassion.
