Sprocket

Sprocket is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog in Erie, PA, who needs $2,000 for Internal Damage and Paralysis.

Erie, PA • Companion Animal Coalition

Companion Animal Coalition Sprocket is a 4-month-old puppy who was exploring a farm when curiosity got the best of him. He traveled a bit too far and tragically, was kicked by a horse, the strike leaving him with no feeling on the rear end of his body. Sprocket was taken to Companion Animal Coalition, in hopes they could give him the care he desperately needed. The injuries he sustained are heartbreaking. He struggles to properly walk and is now incontinent, which leaves him panicked. Sprocket started on medication to reduce inflammation, but the lack of improvement is concerning, potentially indicating significant internal damage. He needs an MRI to properly evaluate his condition and form a treatment plan. Despite what this little guy has been through in his short life, Sprocket has such a playful spirit. He is an adorable puppy with so much love to give. We want to ensure that he is given a chance at a full life where he has full bodily function control, tail function, and no lasting impact on mobility. Sprocket's journey is just beginning, and with your support, we're optimistic about his future. Stay tuned for updates on his progress and ways you can help this adorable pup on his road to recovery. Help us welcome our first dog intake and help support his medical costs!

Tragically, he had been viciously attacked by something or someone. Companion Animal Coalition rescue whisked Beetle to the emergency animal hospital, where the staff quickly sedated him to try to fix his lacerations and puncture wounds. He now needs extensive bloodwork, numerous medications for pain, and antibiotics to ward off any infections. He's been hospitalized for a week, and Companion Animal Coalition needs your help paying for his care. "Beetle has endured a horrific and terribly painful experience, but he knows he is now safe," Lea S., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "He is such a loving boy who melts into any arms that offer to hold him. The staff makes custom adorable bandages they wrap for him each day. They shower him with the love and affection he readily welcomes. His spirit remains so strong." Companion Animal Coalition provides love and care for abandoned, neglected, or abandoned animals who need a home of their own. Please consider giving to help with Beetle's medical bills. He needs you!
