Brownie

We need your help for Brownie right now.

Dallas, TX • Dallas Animal Services

Not just donations. Not just shares. We need people willing to truly commit to her healing journey. Brownie survived Dallas Animal Services. But surviving was the easy part. Now comes the hard part: teaching a terrified 2-year-old breeding dog that the world is finally safe. Brownie is finally in foster, but she urgently needs funds for: Bloodwork Medical care Heartworm treatment planning Spay surgery Vaccines & preventatives Rehabilitation Training & decompression support Medical boarding support when needed Brownie appears to have spent most of her life outside being used for breeding. Not loved. Not socialized. Not touched gently. Her puppies got adopted while Brownie sat for months at Dallas Animal Services hiding in the corner of her kennel terrified of everything around her. Now that she is safe, we are seeing just how deep the trauma goes. She wants to trust so badly. She softly takes treats from your hand. She watches people carefully. She is trying. But every sound, every touch, every new experience still feels overwhelming to her. Dogs like Brownie do not need “perfect.” They need patient. They need calm. They need people who understand that healing from trauma is slow, emotional, expensive, and absolutely worth it. This girl deserves more than simply surviving. She deserves to finally feel safe for the very first time in her life. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you. 5/23/26 Update: Brownie is Emotionally Traumatized This sweet young mama entered Dallas Animal Services on February 9th alongside her puppies. Eventually, her puppies were fostered and adopted… but Brownie remained behind. For more than 90 days. Day after day, Brownie sat terrified in the shelter environment. She would cower in the corner of her kennel, frozen in fear. Not aggressive. Not mean. Just emotionally overwhelmed and completely shut down. The constant stress began destroying her physically. Brownie developed ongoing GI issues, skin problems, chronic fear behaviors, and severe emotional trauma. A leash terrified her. Being touched terrified her. Even basic human interaction caused panic. Riding in a car was so traumatic she had to be carried from the vehicle just to enter the veterinary clinic. And even then, she was too afraid to cross the threshold. But despite everything she has endured… Brownie is trying. With patience, consistency, medication, and an incredible veterinary team working gently with her every day, she is slowly learning that the world can be safe. Now she has: 🐾 A safe space 🐾 A comfort dog who helps her feel secure 🐾 Daily support and behavioral decompression 🐾 A routine she trusts 🐾 Small victories like enjoying a pup cup for the first time For Brownie, these moments are enormous. But her medical journey is only beginning. Brownie still urgently needs: • Spay surgery • Heartworm treatment • Continued medical care • Behavioral support and anxiety management • Ongoing veterinary monitoring in the environment she trusts Because of the severity of her trauma, moving Brownie to a low-cost clinic or unfamiliar setting could be devastating for her emotionally and medically. The stress alone could put her at risk under anesthesia. Her current veterinary team understands her triggers, her fear, and the specialized care she needs to safely continue healing. We are fighting for Brownie not just to survive — but to finally experience life as a loved dog. To know safety. To know kindness. To know what it feels like to belong. Every donation made through Waggle goes directly to her veterinary care so Brownie can continue healing with the team she trusts most. After everything this girl has endured, we are not giving up on her. Please help us give Brownie the future she deserves. ❤️🐾 You could also add a shorter “urgent intro” at the top of the Waggle page or social media shares like: Writing Brownie survived Dallas Animal Services. Now we need to help her truly heal. 💔🐾 After more than 90 days living in fear inside the shelter, this sweet mama dog is finally safe — but she urgently needs continued veterinary care, spay surgery, and heartworm treatment with the medical team she trusts. Brownie is one of the most emotionally traumatized dogs we have ever worked with… yet every single day she is trying. Please help us continue her healing journey. Every donation goes directly to her veterinary care through Waggle. ❤️ 5/23/26 Update Our sweet Brownie needs spay surgery and heartworm treatment. And continued care.

Surrendered with a Stick Through Her Mouth: Please Help Whitney

Dallas, TX • Dallas Animal Services

Whitney’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she was surrendered to a crowded, high-kill shelter. She arrived in pain and confusion, with a stick lodged across the roof of her mouth. No one knows how long she had been suffering, but it was clear she had been living in constant discomfort. Despite everything, Whitney is gentle, trusting, and so deserving of a second chance, which she got when she was adopted into the most loving home. The rescue said they would help pay for her ongoing medical bills, determined to get her the care she needs and ensure she never knows that kind of suffering again. Nonetheless, her medical treatment is coming at a cost. They rely solely on donations from generous people like you to cover her care—from veterinary treatment to recovery support—and we can’t do it without you. 💙 Will you help us give Whitney the healthy, happy life she deserves after this horrendous incident? Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you for your continued support.

Please Help Support Rocky's Medical Care

Dallas, TX • Dallas Animal Services

Meet Rocky, a sweet and friendly 1-year-old pup who has been through so much but still manages to wag his tail with joy when people visit him. He came to Dallas Animal Services with a left femoral fracture, likely from a motor vehicle accident, that left him barely able to move on the side of the road. Because of this, he had femoral head ostectomy, or FHO, surgery, which is a surgical procedure performed on animals to treat hip conditions that cause pain and mobility issues; however, his condition was worse than they originally thought, and his left leg sadly had to be amputated. On top of this, he also needed a scrotal ablation. Since Rocky now only has 3 legs, his foster is working with DAS to find a wheelchair for him that will help him live his best life and be able to run and play freely. After the surgeries and now needing a wheelchair, DAS could desperately use your support to help pay for all of Rocky's bills. Rocky is as loving as ever, despite being in discomfort. His injuries have been treated, and with the right care and compassionate donors like you, he will live a happy and pain-free life. Rocky has so much love to give—he just needs a second chance. Will you help him on his recovery journey? Thank you! 🐾💙
