Poe
Please help Poe recover from a severe ear infection
West Hartford, CT • French Bulldog Rescue Network
Poe’s story is a little hazy, but one thing is crystal clear, this sweet boy has been through far too much. He was surrendered to FBRN by his owner because they could no longer afford the care he desperately needed for his ears. When Poe arrived, their hearts sank. His ears are so severely infected and scarred that you can’t even see into the ear canals; they’re thickened like cauliflower, with a terrible odor that tells them just how long he’s been in pain. Poe guards his face, as his ears are incredibly painful. He is also very underweight, likely from not receiving the balanced nutrition his little body needs. Despite it all, he’s gentle and trusting, already showing glimmers of the loving, grateful soul underneath the pain. He came to this rescue needing a lot of help and care, but now he has a safe place to heal in his loving foster home, a full belly, and will receive the medical attention to get him feeling like a healthy Frenchie again, but they can't do this alone. His medical bills are stacking up. Will you please be a part of Poe's healing journey? Update 10/28/25 Poe recently saw the dermatologist, resulting in an $800 bill—his ear canals are completely closed off despite weeks of prednisone and antibiotics. The estimate for a laser ablation to address the chronic inflammation and infection is $5-$7k. FBRN can't do this without you. Thank you for your continued support! 4/22/26 Update Thank you to everyone who has supported Poe on his healing journey. Thanks to you, he's received the best medical attention, love, and care. FBRN is awaiting an additional procedure for his ear, and after that, he will be ready for adoption!

Beckett
Beckett was neglected and abused - will you please help him heal?
West Hartford, CT • French Bulldog Rescue Network
Meet a French Bulldog named Beckett, who was sadly abandoned at a local PetSmart during a grooming appointment. Leaving Beckett in heartbreaking condition, his owners informed the staff they wouldn’t be returning to pick him up. Thankfully, The French Bulldog Rescue Network was contacted immediately, and fast-acting volunteers picked him up. However, Beckett’s health conditions were quite urgent. He was visibly anemic, dangerously underweight, unable to stand, and suffering from severe medical issues, including bloody urine and fecal incontinence. He was quickly placed under the care of an emergency veterinarian, who was able to stabilize him. He is currently eating and drinking well and showing that he’s in good spirits! His sodium levels are nearly back to normal, and while his white blood cell count is still elevated, they’ve added another IV antibiotic to help him fight off infection. We are waiting for the results of his fecal and urine cultures, as well as some additional tests, before moving forward with additional treatment. For now, Beckett is stable, comfortable, and surrounded by love. It’s heartbreaking to think about the level of neglect that brought him to this point. No dog should ever suffer like this, and FBRN is committed to ensuring that any necessary steps are taken to hold the responsible parties accountable. Beckett’s story reminds us of the importance of advocacy and rescue, and your support is a vital part of that mission. Every dollar you donate goes towards bringing Beckett back to health and giving him a second chance at a happy and loving life 🐾
