Spay & Neuter

Spay & Neuter is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Jena, LA, who needs $2,000 for spay and neuter.

Jena, LA • God's PAWS Rescue and Shelter

Every day at God’s Paws Rescue, dogs and puppies arrive with the same heartbreaking story: unwanted litters, abandoned strays, and innocent animals born into suffering simply because there weren’t enough resources to prevent it. But there is a solution—one that saves lives before they’re ever at risk. Spay and neuter. One small surgery stops countless cycles of neglect, homelessness, and euthanasia. It means fewer puppies left on the streets, fewer mothers abandoned after giving birth, and fewer animals crowding already overwhelmed shelters. It means hope. At God’s Paws Rescue, we are committed to breaking this cycle. Every dog they take in receives compassionate care—but the costs of spay and neuter add up quickly. With so many animals in need, their medical bills grow faster than they can keep up with. That's why we're asking for your help. A donation today directly funds spay and neuter surgeries— the most powerful, life-changing gift you can give to a rescue dog. Your support means healthier pets. Fewer unwanted litters. More room to save the next life waiting for help. More hope for the voiceless. Every dollar matters and saves a life. 6/27/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported God's Paws in getting their dogs spayed and neutered. This is so important for every animal, and thanks to you, they were able to get their dogs spayed and neutered.

God's Paws Rescue Needs Your Help Getting Their Dogs Spayed & Neutered!

Jena, LA • God's PAWS Rescue and Shelter

At God’s Paws Rescue in Louisiana, every life matters. As a small, no-kill rescue, they are doing everything they can to save as many dogs as possible—but they need your help. Right now, almost all of the dogs at the rescue still need to be spayed or neutered, and funding is stretched thin. Among them are pups like Dewey, whose journey has been filled with heartbreak. Abandoned as a tiny pup at a dumpster, Dewey was lucky enough to be taken in by a kind-hearted community member. But when his rescuer passed away, his world was turned upside down once again. With nowhere else to go, Dewey’s family reached out to God’s Paws Rescue for help. Now safe at the rescue, Dewey is struggling to adjust. He’s shy, unsure, and still learning to trust. But with time, patience, and love, he is slowly coming out of his shell—and his rescuers know he will one day make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Dewey, along with many other abandoned and forgotten dogs, needs your support. Spay and neuter surgeries, medical care, and daily needs add up quickly. Please consider donating to God’s Paws Rescue to help provide these pups with the second chance they deserve. Every dollar makes a difference in their journey toward a forever home. If you're interested in adopting any of these sweet pups, please visit https://www.godspawsrs.org/our-dogs Thank you! ❤️🐾

Please Support 4 Puppies That Were Dumped in the Middle of the Road

Jena, LA • God's PAWS Rescue and Shelter

When Petunia, Lollie, Ace, and Bowie were just pups, they were dumped in the middle of the road and left to die. Fortunately, a good samaritan didn't turn away and brought them all to God's PAWS Rescue and Shelter where they are greatly cared for. They are all balls of energy that love to play with other dogs, but are also so loveable with good temperaments. However, they need critical veterinary care to help them continue to grow into healthy dogs. The rescue, unfortunately, can’t afford to get them heartworm tested or provide the Proheart shot, which is a long-lasting treatment that could make a positive impact in their health and future. Simpatico Trio costs on average $39 a month, depending on the dog's weight, the heartworm test costs about $50, and the Proheart shot costs about $80 every six months, depending on their weight. They will also all need spayed and neutered. Will you please help? Your donation will go directly toward their spay, testing, and preventative treatments to ensure happy and healthy growth that will also help them get adopted into their forever home. Please don't wait to help these lovable babies! If you're interested in adopting any of them, please visit www.godspawsrs.org/our-dogs to learn more. We are continually grateful for your support!
