We Lost Our Supply Donor. Can You Help Us?

Fresno, CA • Not My Cat Sanctuary

Not My Cat Rescue has had a standing relationship with a local dog rescue who would help send extra supply donations from Amazon and Costco. They would send us all the cat and farm animal products they received. At our sanctuary we also have pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats in addition to our dogs and cats. We love all our animals just the same. In fact, the farm animals also came into the sanctuary after being abandoned or owners' passing away. Unexpectedly, we were notified by our partner rescue that they would not be receiving any more donations from Amazon and Costco, meaning neither would we! No specific reason was given to us. Through the local rumor mill, it was said that a larger and more connected rescue in the area would now be receiving these donations. We basically confirmed this after seeing said rescue post on their Facebook the pallets of products we were all to familiar with. As a result of this, our little rescue is now struggling to keep our heads above water. We relied heavily on these donated goods. As a tiny group of women running our rescue, this donation each month was enough to fully supply our animals for weeks at a time. Now, it's a struggle to compensate for these lost items and we can no longer take in any new animals. We are working hard to find new local donors but as of now that is still a work in progress.

Benny Needs Us Now!

Fresno, CA • Not My Cat Sanctuary

When Benny was rescued from a local apartment complex, he was supposed to be on his way to a better life. Instead, the spay and neuter clinic had to turn him away because he was simply too sick to undergo surgery. Once Benny arrived at Not My Cat Sanctuary, we took him into our vet and discovered he is FIV positive. We immediately started treatment and immune support, hoping to get him healthy again. Then, just when we thought we were out of the woods, came another heartbreaking diagnosis—stomatitis, a painful inflammatory disease that makes eating and even living comfortably incredibly difficult. For a while, steroid injections and medication helped manage his pain, but they are no longer working. Benny's condition has become so severe that his veterinary team has fast-tracked his surgery. The only remaining option is full dental extractions, giving him the chance to finally live without constant pain. The estimated cost of Benny's surgery is $800, and we're asking for your help to make sure nothing stands in the way of the care he urgently needs. Every donation brings Benny one step closer to a pain-free future. If you're unable to donate, sharing his story can make an incredible difference. Thank you for standing with Benny and giving this sweet old boy the second chance he deserves. ❤️ 8/8/26 Update: Benny is Still Waiting for His Fresh Start Benny is continuing to receive care from Not My Cat Sanctuary as he waits for the dental surgery he so desperately needs. After spending so long dealing with painful stomatitis, Benny deserves the chance to finally feel comfortable again. His veterinary team is working to get him ready for his full dental extractions, which are his best hope for relief. Every donation helps bring Benny closer to the pain-free life he deserves. Thank you for continuing to stand behind this sweet boy. ❤️
