Cypress
Cypress is a 3.5 month old Mix-Breed in Long Beach, CA, who needs $2,000 for X-rays, pain medication, sedation, wound cleaning.
Long Beach, CA • Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue
Cypress is a community cat living in Cypress, California on a college campus. She lives with a colony of 26 and our rescue is working on TNRing all of them. Cypress sustained deep lacerations on her back leg, likely from a chain link fence or other sharp object, and has nerve damage in her front shoulder causing limited use of her front paw. She is currently hospitalized under veterinary care receiving wound treatment, antibiotics, and X-rays at Central Orange County Animal Emergency Hospital. Cypress is a sweet community kitty that is very friendly and vocal with her feeder. She deserves a chance to live a healthy outdoor life with her colony. Our rescue knew we could not leave Cypress to suffer. Her ER care has already cost $1500 and her continued bandage changes as well as possible amputation will be more costly. The students of this campus love these cats and want to see Cypress healed and healthy.

Mavis
Saved with an Hour to Spare: Please Be a Part of Mavis' Success Story!
Long Beach, CA • Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue
Paws in the Sand rescue pulled Mavis from the OC Shelter with just an hour to spare. Sadly, she was brought into that shelter at 2pm and was only given until 5pm that same day until they were going to euthanize her. She was dehydrated, anemic, and covered in fleas. When Paws in the Sand rescued her, they did not realize how anemic their one pound, six weeks old girl actually was. Her health declined severely within two days, and she was rushed to Long Beach Animal Emergency where she received overnight care and two blood transfusions. Even though she's little, she's a fighter and survived! Since Paws in the Sand is a small rescue, The Little Lion Foundation graciously stepped up to pay Mavis' $3,000 ER visit; otherwise, she would have died. Her PVC was a 9. They will be paying Little Lion Foundation back, but unfortunately, they still haven't been able to come up with the funds for a bill of that amount. Mavis is a gentle and sweet girl that has strength in her eyes. This rescue could not give up on this fragile girl. She deserved to live and to be saved. Can you help Paws in the Sand give Mavis a real chance at life and help her get healthy enough to find her forever home? Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and will go directly towards paying her medical bills. 🙏 Please donate today and be part of their rescue story! Thank you for your generous support.
