Sweet Lenny Survived a Donkey Kick — Now He Needs Your Help to Heal

Richmond, OH • Pawsitive Change Matters Most

Lenny’s story is one of resilience — and now he needs our help to finally heal. This gentle boy is believed to have suffered an old injury after reportedly being kicked by a donkey. Despite everything he’s been through, Lenny remains incredibly sweet, trusting, and ready to start his new life. On April 6th, he made an important step forward and moved into a loving foster home where he’ll stay while we evaluate his condition and plan next steps. Unfortunately, Lenny is showing signs of pain and limited mobility in his right rear leg and hip. Our veterinary team needs to perform X-rays and additional diagnostics to understand the extent of the old injury. Once we have those results, he may require surgery to correct the damage and give him the chance to move comfortably again. Funds raised will go directly toward: • X-rays and diagnostic imaging • Veterinary consultation and evaluation • Neuter surgery • Potential hip surgery, depending on findings • Follow-up care and recovery support Lenny has already endured so much, but with proper medical care, he has a real chance at a pain-free, happy future. Your support will help us get answers — and possibly the surgery — he needs to thrive. Every donation, no matter the size, brings Lenny one step closer to comfort and healing. Please consider contributing and sharing his story. Together, we can give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves.

The Fight Was Worth It—But the Cost Was Devastating

Richmond, OH • Pawsitive Change Matters Most

Pawsitive Change Matters Most Animal Rescue recently stepped in to save five vulnerable puppies—Theo and his four siblings—from a rural Kentucky shelter. All five had been exposed to Parvovirus, a highly contagious and often deadly disease. The rescue rushed them into emergency care, determined to give them a chance. It was a battle for survival, and sadly, one of the puppies—sweet Teddy—didn’t make it. He passed away in the hospital before ever experiencing the warmth of a loving home. But Theo and his three surviving siblings fought hard. Thanks to intensive medical care and the unwavering dedication of the rescue, all four pulled through. Today, each of them—including smiley, joyful Theo—are thriving. But Saving these pups came at a tremendous cost. The medical bills from their hospitalization created a serious financial strain on the young rescue. Pawsitive Change Matters Most never hesitated—because every life is worth fighting for. Please consider donating to help them cover the cost of Theo and his siblings' care, which continues to place immense strain on the rescue's limited resources.

Help Pup "The One and Only," a Brave German Shepherd, Recover from Leg Amputation

Richmond, OH • Pawsitive Change Matters Most

Pup "the one and only" has been through an unimaginable ordeal and needs your help. He may only be a few years old, but his journey has been far from easy. Pup was cowering under a porch after being shot. Pawsitive Change Matters Most rushed Pup to the veterinary clinic where x-rays revealed the severity of his injuries. His leg was shattered beyond repair, and needed to be amputated. We don’t know who did this or why, but what we do know is that Pup, despite the trauma, is a warrior. After being found with a bullet lodged in his chest and his front leg shattered, Pup still managed to walk into the vet clinic under his own power. His spirit is nothing short of incredible. But now, this resilient dog needs your help as he embarks on a long, arduous healing journey. Pup desperately needs a foster or forever home to support him as he emotionally and physically heals as well as donations to help cover the cost of his ongoing care. With your support, we can help this warrior dog not just survive—but thrive. Update 1/1/25: Pup is doing wonderfully! His spirit is as bright as ever, and he’s been enjoying every moment. Pawsitive Change Matters Most is currently exploring the possibility of a prosthetic leg for him, carefully considering whether it will be the right fit. If it’s the best option, they’ll move forward with the process to help him live his best life. Pup is a happy, loving boy with so much heart to give, and all he truly wants is to find his perfect forever home where he can share all that joy. He deserves a place where he can thrive and feel truly loved! Update 1/30/25: We’re overjoyed to share that Pup has healed marvelously! His recovery has been a true testament to his resilience, and we’re so thankful for the progress he’s made. Pup is an incredibly sweet boy with a heart full of love, and he deserves nothing less than the safety and happiness of a forever home. Pawsitive Change Matters Most is fully committed to doing everything we can to ensure Pup finds the loving family he has longed for. He’s been waiting patiently for a foster or adoptive home, but in the meantime, he’s been in boarding—which, as you can imagine, has been a significant financial strain. This is where we need your help. Pup’s journey is far from over, and we’re asking for your support to cover the ongoing costs of his boarding and to help ensure he transitions to a loving home soon. He’s an incredible companion who simply wants to be loved, and we believe he’s the perfect addition to any family. Thank you for your continued support and generosity. Pup’s dream of a forever home is within reach, and with your help, we can make it a reality!

Doc

Doc is a 12 year old Chow Chow in Dayton, OH, who needs $325 for Senior Workup and Pain Management.

Dayton, OH • Pawsitive Change Matters Most

Doc is a senior guy, approximately 12 years old. He's distinguished and ruggedly handsome, just a little timid at first. When he warms up, he's the KING of smiles. This is amazing because his person recently passed away so we're getting him all checked out and worked up medically so he can spend the rest of his days happy and as healthy as possible. He is being treated currently by Springboro. Doc is getting a senior workup and cleaned up also. He's being treated for joint pain for 10 days because his hips are very stiff and difficult for the vet to move him back half at all for the stiffness and apparently pain. He is undergoing treatment at Springboro Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care in Springboro, Ohio. Before his person's health declined 6 years ago, Doc traveled the world and to every state. He still has so much left! Doc smiles for strangers even through his nerves. He's curious even though he's an old man and experienced loss. Doc did well with the 3 small dogs in his home and when bigger dogs walked past at vet, he showed no interest. Doc loves car rides and he never stops smiling! His person passed away and good Samaritans are trying to get him into a new home before he has to leave because of the bills no longer being paid. We are raising money to help him out!
