Cairo Needs Your Help!

Yucaipa, CA • Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement Society

Cairo was once one of nine puppies. Today, he is the sole survivor of his litter. He is bravely fighting an ongoing battle with pneumonia. His entire young life has been spent moving between shelters, never truly knowing comfort. Now, thanks to Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement stepping in, Cairo is finally experiencing a sense of safety and hope. For the past two months, Cairo has been battling pneumonia with everything he has. Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement is committed to providing the critical care he needs, including antibiotics, radiographs, and blood work. Because he is still so young and growing, he also requires additional supplements, vitamins, and probiotics to help strengthen his small body and give him the best possible chance at recovery. Cairo’s condition means he may not live the full lifespan of a typical dog, but that does not stop him from embracing every joyful moment. When he feels well enough, he plays happily with the other puppies. A shorter life does not mean a less meaningful one. His veterinary team is doing everything in their power to clear his pneumonia and help him find the loving family he deserves. Cairo is a fighter. With the support of generous donors, he can continue receiving the lifesaving treatment he urgently needs. Your donation can help cover his medical care, nourish his growing body, and give him the chance to experience love, comfort, and happiness—no matter how much time he has. You can be the reason Cairo’s story is filled with hope. 6/23/26 Update Thank you to everyone who donated to Cairo's healing journey. He is doing exceptionally well! One of the managers from the rescue has officially adopted him, and she says he's a light in her life. He still has a long way to go, but he will have the happiest life.

Ceres

Please Help This Puppy With Parvo

Yucaipa, CA • Yucaipa Valley Animal Placement Society

Ceres’ mother was rescued from the euthanasia list at a crowded city shelter while pregnant. Ceres, a 12-week-old Boxer-Pitbull mix, was raised in a loving foster home with her five siblings. Despite receiving three rounds of vaccines, she is the only puppy to contract parvovirus and is now hospitalized, fighting for her life. She is currently receiving intensive treatment for vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. Ceres is a gentle, affectionate puppy who melts hearts with her sweet nature. Even in the hospital, she wags her tail weakly when she hears familiar voices and leans into every comforting touch. She loves cuddles, gives the softest kisses, and has a brave spirit that inspires everyone caring for her to fight just as hard as she does. Ceres’ parvo treatment is nearly $4,000, and Yucaipa Valley Animal Placemenbt Society is urgently raising funds to keep her alive. Every donation brings her closer to recovery. Seeing her healthy and ready for a forever home will mean the world. She deserves the chance to grow, play, and know love. Thank you for your support.
