Casper
Casper Was Left Behind. He Needs Help Getting Back on His Feet.
Maryland, MD • Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Society Inc.
There was a time when Casper had a home. Someone to feed him, a place to sleep, a sense that he belonged somewhere. And then, without warning, that was taken from him. His owner walked away and left him on the streets to fend for himself. Casper didn't know how to survive out there. Time passed without reliable food or water. He grew weaker, sicker, more withdrawn. And perhaps hardest of all, he became too frightened to approach anyone for help. The people passing by who might have fed him, who might have noticed him suffering couldn't even approach poor Casper. So he suffered in silence, growing more lethargic by the day, until his little body simply couldn't hide how sick he truly was. When Paws and Claws Animal Welfare Society found him, it was almost too late. Casper was malnourished, struggling with a respiratory infection, and his bloodwork revealed troubling signs that his body was in real distress. He was rushed in for round-the-clock hospital care, the kind of constant attention a cat in his condition desperately needs to have any real chance at recovery. Casper is safe now. For the first time in longer than we know, he doesn't have to be afraid. He doesn't have to wonder where his next meal is coming from, or whether anyone is coming for him. But healing takes time, medicine, nourishment, and someone willing to see it through. That's where you come in. Please consider a donation to help Casper get the treatment he needs to feel safe, healthy, and loved again. He waited long enough. Let's not make him wait any longer. 7/29/26 Update What a difference your compassion has made! When Casper first came into our care, he was barely hanging on. Abandoned, emaciated, severely anemic, and slowly losing his battle against illness and neglect, this sweet boy was fighting for his life. Looking at him then and looking at him now is nothing short of incredible. Can you say glow-up?! ✨ Thanks to your generous donations, Casper has made amazing progress. He's eating well, gaining strength, and finally starting to look like the healthy, handsome cat he was always meant to be. It's hard to believe this is the same frightened, fragile boy who was found suffering alone on the streets. Casper isn't finished with treatment just yet. He remains on antibiotics and probiotics, along with a special diet and medications to support his liver function while his body continues to heal. His veterinary team is thrilled with his progress, and so are we! Every day, Casper is proving that love, medical care, and a second chance can truly transform a life. Thank you to every person who has donated, shared his story, or cheered him on. You are the reason Casper has the opportunity to recover instead of becoming another heartbreaking statistic. If you'd like to help support the remainder of Casper's medical care, we'd be incredibly grateful for your continued support. Every tax-deductible donation helps provide the medications, specialized nutrition, follow-up veterinary care, and love that are giving Casper the future he deserves. From the bottom of our hearts—and from one very grateful, very handsome cat—thank you for believing in Casper.

Lucie
Help Baby Lucie Heal After Emergency Eye Surgery
Dorr, MI • Maybel's Legacy
Baby Lucie is only three weeks old. At an age when she should be learning to wobble, discovering her tiny purr, and curling up safely in warm blankets, this little kitten was instead facing severe pain and an uncertain future. Lucie came into the care of Maybel’s Legacy with a badly swollen and infected eye that quickly worsened and ruptured. She was clearly uncomfortable and needed immediate veterinary intervention to relieve her pain and give her a chance at a healthy life. After an emergency evaluation, veterinarians determined that the kindest and safest option was an urgent eye removal surgery (enucleation), followed by specialized pain management and supportive care. Though incredibly small and fragile, Lucie showed remarkable strength throughout the process. At just a few ounces, Lucie cannot advocate for herself, but Maybel’s Legacy is committed to making sure she receives the care, comfort, and safety every kitten deserves. Your support helps cover the essential care that is giving Lucie a second chance, including: Emergency eye surgery Pain management and antibiotics Ongoing neonatal care and monitoring Follow-up veterinary visits as she continues to grow and heal Already, the total cost of Lucie’s surgery and ongoing recovery is in the thousands, and Maybel’s Legacy relies on community support to provide lifesaving care for vulnerable animals like her. You Can Change Lucie’s Story Because of compassionate supporters, Lucie has already made it through surgery and is now on the road to recovery. She is comfortable, healing well, and beginning to show the playful spirit every kitten deserves to experience. Your donation helps ensure Lucie continues to receive the care she needs as she heals and grows stronger each day. Every contribution — and every share — makes a meaningful difference. Together, we can give Lucie the safe, pain-free future she deserves. Thank you for standing with Lucie and Maybel’s Legacy. Update (3/24/26): Thanks to this incredible community, Baby Lucie underwent emergency surgery with no complications (phew!) and is now recovering day by day. Her pain levels are being managed and are under control, her incision is healing well, and her bright, resilient personality is already peaking through. She will continue receiving medication, monitoring, and supportive care as she continues her recovery journey, and Maybel’s Legacy will continue sharing updates as Lucie heals and discovers her brand new world. 💛 Every donation and share is extremely appreciated. 4/27/26 Update: Lucie’s Recovery Lucie is doing great and continuing to thrive in recovery! After her rescue, Lucie required an eye removal surgery, but she has healed beautifully and is now healthy, happy, and full of personality. She is playful, active, and enjoying time with her siblings, especially Leah and Louie, with whom she loves to nap and spend time. She is now feeling like a typical kitten again — energetic, and affectionate — and is approaching readiness for adoption. Thank you to everyone who has supported Lucie’s care so far. Your kindness has helped her reach this incredible point in her journey. 5/12/26 Update Lucie is thriving and officially ready to begin the next chapter of her life — finding her forever home. After undergoing eye removal surgery earlier in her journey, this sweet girl has healed beautifully and has grown into a happy, playful, and affectionate kitten. Lucie loves spending her days playing, snuggling up for naps with her siblings, and soaking up the comfort and safety of rescue life. Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors, Lucie’s campaign was fully funded, helping ensure she received the medical care she needed to heal and thrive. Maybel’s Legacy is deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and supported Lucie throughout her recovery journey. Because of your kindness, Lucie now has the chance to grow up healthy, loved, and ready for a bright future ahead.

Eggnog
Help Eggnog Get the Medical Care He Need
Coconut Creek, FL • Pumpkin’s Rescue Club
Eggnog is a young kitten who narrowly escaped a dangerous situation. He was discovered being sold on Facebook Marketplace and misrepresented as a healthy, unfixed female. Concerned for his safety and unwilling to risk him ending up in the wrong hands, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in and paid $80 to remove him from the situation immediately. Once Eggnog was safely rescued, the truth became clear. He is a male kitten and was suffering from multiple untreated medical issues, including a severe ear infection, an eye infection, and heavy parasite infestations with worms and fleas. Despite being advertised as “healthy,” Eggnog was in urgent need of veterinary care. Eggnog has already been seen by Chewy and has begun treatment, but his care may become more complex. The rescue is also concerned that he may have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), and a neurology appointment is scheduled for this Monday to better understand his condition and long-term needs. Eggnog’s care is ongoing, and the rescue cannot do this work alone. Despite the challenges of the holiday season, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains committed to stepping in for vulnerable animals like Eggnog—especially when no one else will. Please consider donating today. 1/28/26 Update Eggnog recently had blood work completed, and thankfully, all results came back negative. While this helps rule out several serious conditions, it also means his symptoms are not being caused by an infection or illness that can be treated quickly with medication. At this time, Eggnog’s veterinary team believes his neurological symptoms may be the result of brain damage or possibly a past mini-stroke. To better understand what’s going on and determine the best path forward, Eggnog is scheduled to see a neurologist on February 2 for a specialist’s evaluation and recommendations. This upcoming appointment will be an important step in understanding Eggnog’s long-term needs and what kind of care will give him the best possible quality of life. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains fully committed to Eggnog and ensuring he gets the answers and care he deserves. Ongoing donations are critical to help cover his diagnostics, specialist care, and continued treatment as his journey continues. Thank you for standing with Eggnog and supporting rescue when the road forward is uncertain but hopeful.

Skitty
Beloved Community Cat Found Torn-Up & Hurting
Hawthorne, NJ • A Pathway to Hope
A Pathway to Hope is graciously caring for a kitty in the community named Skitty. A family has been feeding and caring for him for about 7 years, but he's mainly an outdoor cat. They have become quite attached to each other over the years. Recently, Skitty got into a fight defending himself from another stray that started coming around the yard. While Skitty was successful on fending off the other cat off, he got some bad scratches on his nose. He seemed to be recovering just fine at first but then he began to become sluggish, and his eyes and nose started oozing thick brown liquid. He stopped eating as much since his nose was clogged and he was becoming much thinner. Not knowing what to do, the family contacted A Pathway to Hope. Luckily, they were able to get him to a vet quickly so Skitty could acquire medicine for his infection, other treatments he needed to help with state he was in, and bloodwork. The vet also found a small lump on his neck, which they tested. He is now recovering with the right antibiotics, but they are keeping an eye on the bump. Please consider helping A Pathway to Hope care for Skitty and cover his medical bills so he can get back to doing what he does best, exploring the outdoors. Any amount is appreciated, and as always, thank you for your continued generosity. Update 7/17/25 Skitty is slowly but surely making his way to recovery, and a BIG part of that is due to his Army (YOU!). The support and love for this boy are so incredibly appreciated as he gets back on his feet—or paws, we should say. Each new day is a little better, physically and emotionally; he’s steadily gaining weight back, the infection is clearing, and his appetite seems to be returning. Thank you for your continued support as this boy continues his healing journey. Every donation and share means the world, to us and to Skitty!

Afton
Will You Help This Bundle of Sweetness?
Seven Valleys, PA • Heavenly Paws Shelter, Inc.
Weighing only 3.9 pounds, Afton is a 9-month-old bundle of sweetness wrapped in a delicate frame. Heavenly Paws Shelter placed her in foster care, but not long after, she started regurgitating and was taken to the vet. Afton was diagnosed with megaesophagus, which is a condition where the esophagus becomes enlarged and loses its ability to push food down properly, making eating and drinking extremely difficult. Due to her condition, she is now a long-term foster in need of round-the-clock support. Every feeding must be managed to prevent fluid aspiration, which can turn fatal, so monitoring is essential. Her foster mentions that she's a delightful little girl who loves affection from people and being around other cats. Fortunately, Afton has settled in nicely to her foster home. While her journey thus far hasn't been easy, you would never know it. Heavenly Paws is a relatively small rescue and depends on donations from the public. Your support today would go towards the special food Afton needs to survive and routine x-rays to monitor it. Join us in giving Afton the best life possible. She deserves it.

Cats from Hoarding Case
30 Cats Dumped in a Cemetary Desperately Need Your Help!
Harrisburg, PA • Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals
Imagine being left alone in a cemetary, sick, starving, and terrified. That’s the heartbreaking reality for 30 cats who were cruelly dumped, left to fend for themselves coming from the worst conditions imaginable. Castaway Critters Rescue was notified that these cats were discarded from a home in deplorable conditions. Many are in horrific shape—some missing eyes, emaciated, suffering from urine burns, severe infections, and extreme food aggression from starvation. They are covered in fleas, ear mites, lice, and worms. The youngest is approximately two months old, while the oldest is about ten years old. Castaway Critters graciously stepped up to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate these innocent souls, but they can’t do it alone. Medical care, food, and rehabilitation for 30 cats is a massive undertaking, and they desperately need your help, whether it's monetary or physical donations. They appreciate any and all of your support! Your donation will provide the vet care, nourishment, and love they need to heal and eventually find the safe, loving homes they deserve. Every dollar and donation makes a difference. Please help Castaway Critters give these forgotten cats a second chance. ❤️🐾 Update 5/5/25 Castaway Critters is still caring for these babies as they slowly return to health with proper medical treatments, food, and lots of love and care. They are still working to get all of them spayed and neutered. Three have already been adopted.

Juliet
Juliet’s Fight for Her Life—And Her Kittens’
Huntington, WV • One by One Animal Advocates
Juliet was once a stray cat struggling to survive in rural Kentucky. She had no caretaker, no shelter, and no food —just the growing weight of her unborn kittens inside her. She was extremely hungry, her fragile body searching for anything to eat. Desperate and exhausted, Juliet went into labor, doing everything she could to bring her babies into the world. Thankfully, this is when her rescuers stepped in. They rushed her to an emergency vet. By this time, Juliet had given birth to three tiny kittens, but something was wrong. Two more were still inside her, and no matter how hard she tried, they wouldn't come. They were too large. She was too weak. Without an urgent C-section, Juliet and her remaining kittens wouldn’t make it. Thanks to the incredible efforts of her rescuers and the veterinary team, the surgery was a success. Juliet made it through, and so did her kittens. For maybe the first time in her life, Juliet is finally safe and loved. Sadly, one of her babies was born with a severe cleft palate. Despite all efforts to help him thrive, this tiny kitten did not make it. The other four are doing well, constantly being loved on and hugged by mom. Juliet and her babies need continued medical care, nourishment, and a safe place to heal. Will you help Juliet and her kittens get the second chance they deserve? Your donation will ensure that Juliet and her babies never suffer alone again.

Opal
Help this Gem Shine Again: Your Donation Will Help Opal Live Pain-Free
Lutz, FL • Animalluvrs Dream Rescue
Opal’s story begins in heartbreak. At just 8 months old, this sweet kitten was found alone as a stray, presumed to have been hit by a car. The trauma left her with two broken femurs and a fractured pelvis, leaving her unable to move or seek help. A local shelter took her in, but was unable to provide the intensive veterinary care she desperately needed. For days, she sat at the shelter, waiting for someone to notice her, waiting for a chance, but no one came. Opal’s future seemed uncertain, until Animalluvr’s Dream Rescue stepped in. They believed that with the right care, she could heal and thrive, and they wanted to give her the second chance she deserved. Opal was rushed into the care of the rescue, and immediately taken to the vet; a skilled surgeon was brought in to repair her injuries. It was determined that her injuries weren’t recent – meaning that Opal had been living in pain for much longer than anyone realized. But here’s the good news: Opal is a fighter. The surgery was successful, and despite everything she’s been through, her prognosis is hopeful. With the right care, proper rest, and all the love she can handle, Opal is on her way to recovery. This sweet girl has a future ahead of her — a future filled with comfort, safety, and love. The road to recovery isn’t easy, and the medical costs are high. But with your support, Opal will have everything she needs to heal and grow strong. Your donation will provide her with the ongoing veterinary care, pain management, and rehabilitation she requires. It will help her move from pain to healing, and eventually, into the arms of a forever family who will cherish her for the rest of her life. Update 12/30/24: We’re thrilled to share that Opal is recovering beautifully! This sweet and happy kitten is growing stronger each day, thanks to the love and care she’s receiving in her foster-to-adopt home. She’s full of energy and snuggles, and we’re so grateful to see her thriving! However, while Opal’s recovery is on the right track, she still has a bit more to go before she’s 100%. She’s getting all the attention she needs, but her medical bills remain. Your support continues to be essential as we help Opal fully heal and become the healthy, happy kitten she’s meant to be.

Wirt and Gregory
Wirt and Gregory are two kittens in Oakland, NJ, who need $1,800 for urgent medical care.
Oakland, NJ • Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge
Had we said no to rescuing Wirt and Gregory, they would not be alive today. These kittens are a heartbreaking yet adorable pair. They were rescued together and rushed to our Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge. Though we are completely strapped for space, we could not turn them away in their condition. Wirt is an extremely tiny, four-week-old Tabby kitten. He came to us cold to the touch, lethargic, and fading away. We mobilized to give Wirt heat support, hydration, nourishment, and antibiotics. He requires syringe feeding around the clock. To make matters worse, he has ringworm and severely infected eyes. Gregory is also sick and malnourished! He's just three months old, suffering from a respiratory infection, conjunctivitis, and ringworm. Both boys require constant care. Thankfully, one of our amazing foster families stepped up to take them. They are being treated with antibiotics, antifungal and eye medication, dewormer, heat, and fluid support. The kittens' love for one another shows the true spirit of rescued animals. Gregory comforts his sweet, tiny Wirt, who is always glued to his side. Gregory can't even use the litterbox alone! Wirth climbs on his back and rides along. With the current overcrowding crisis in shelters and the influx of needy animals, our funds have dwindled, but the calls for help and our resolve have not! Please help us pay for their critical care. Together, we can show Wirt and Gregory that people still love and care for animals. On behalf of our adorable duo and all the helpless animals who will be safe with your generosity, we thank you for giving to their campaign.
