Trapped, Injured, and Crying for Help—Let's Give Nubby the Life He Deserves

Douglasville, GA • Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue

The cries coming from an old truck at a local junkyard led to a heartbreaking discovery. A tiny two-month-old kitten had become trapped inside a truck spring, desperately crying for help. He was completely alone. There was no mother in sight, no siblings to comfort him—just a frightened baby suffering from devastating injuries. We named him Nubby Jones. By the time Nubby was rescued and brought to Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue, it was clear he had endured unimaginable trauma. His left front leg was fractured, and his tiny paw had been so severely crushed that it could not be saved. Despite everything he had been through, Nubby greeted everyone with gentle purrs, curious eyes, and a playful spirit that refused to give up. His resilience reminds us that even the smallest hearts can carry incredible strength. After a thorough examination, our veterinary team determined that the kindest and only path to a pain-free future is to amputate Nubby's injured front leg. While that sounds heartbreaking, kittens are amazingly adaptable. They quickly learn to balance on three legs, running, climbing, playing, and living full, joyful lives without chronic pain. Now Nubby needs one more miracle. Your donation will help cover the cost of his lifesaving surgery, pain medication, veterinary care, and recovery so he can finally leave behind the fear and suffering he experienced in that junkyard. Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue is committed to giving Nubby every opportunity to heal, but we can't do it without your support. Together, we can replace pain with comfort, fear with safety, and loneliness with love. Please help give Nubby the second chance he so desperately deserves. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings this brave little survivor one step closer to a future filled with warm beds, playful adventures, and the loving family he's been waiting for. 8/7/26 Update Little Nubby Jones has already survived more than any kitten should. Rescued after becoming trapped inside a truck spring, this tiny two-month-old suffered a fractured front leg and a paw so severely crushed that it could not be saved. Despite everything, Nubby continues to be a sweet, playful little fighter. He has already needed surgery for his injured paw, and those veterinary bills are adding up. His veterinary team is also still determining when he will need an amputation of his injured limb. While Nubby waits, he needs continued veterinary care, pain management, and plenty of love as he recovers. 💜 Please donate today to help Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue cover Nubby’s medical expenses. Every donation helps give this brave little survivor the chance to heal and look forward to a future filled with play, comfort, and love. If you can't donate, sharing Nubby's fundraiser can help his story reach someone who can. 🐾

Trigger

Someone threw this tiny kitten into a trash can and walked away.

Harrisburg, PA • Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals

At just 5 weeks old, baby Trigger weighs less than a pound—closer to the size of a 2- or 3-week-old kitten because of severe malnourishment. He was found covered in hundreds of fleas, so many that they had formed a thick brown mass of fleas and blood across his tiny body. It's a miracle he was still alive. Right now, Trigger is extremely weak. He can't stop shaking, and every ounce of strength he has is being used simply to keep fighting. Castaway Critters rushed him to the vet and the team worked around the clock to give him every possible chance to survive. We're asking for your help today. Your donation will provide emergency veterinary care, medications, flea treatment, supportive care, nutritious food, and everything Trigger needs as he battles for his life and to grow into a healthy, adult cat. Every dollar gives this tiny survivor a better chance at the future he deserves. Please help us show Trigger that his story doesn't end in a trash can. It ends surrounded by love, hope, and people who refused to give up on him.

At Just One Year Old, Zyla Needs Double Hip Surgery

Centre, AL • Summit’s Sanctuary

Zyla should be spending her days running, playing, and enjoying all the joys of puppyhood. Instead, this sweet girl is facing a painful battle with severe genetic hip dysplasia. Every step is a struggle. Walking, running, playing, and even resting comfortably have become increasingly difficult as her condition progresses. While most one year old puppies are discovering the world around them, Zyla is living with chronic pain that will only worsen without surgical intervention. Heartbreakingly, Zyla's sister, Zora, also suffered from severe hip dysplasia. Now Zyla is facing the same difficult journey. After evaluating her condition, veterinarians confirmed that Zyla urgently needs double hip surgery to give her the opportunity for a normal, active, pain-free life. Without treatment, her mobility and quality of life will continue to decline. Despite everything she is facing, Zyla remains full of love, trust, and joy. She greets each day with a wagging tail and a spirit that refuses to be defined by her pain. The cost of the surgery and associated medical care is a significant expense for Summit's Sanctuary, a volunteer-driven rescue dedicated to helping animals in need. This fundraiser will help cover Zyla's surgery, medications, and recovery care so she can heal properly and finally experience the carefree life every puppy deserves. Your donation directly supports the medical treatment that can change the course of Zyla's future. Every gift, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to running, playing, and growing up without constant pain. Thank you for helping Summit's Sanctuary give this brave young dog the chance at a healthier, happier future. 7/15/26 Update: An Update on Sweet Zyla: Hope for Her Future Despite everything she is facing, Zyla continues to greet each day with the joyful spirit everyone loves about her. She still enjoys playing, exploring, and soaking up all the love around her, reminding everyone just how resilient she is. As part of her ongoing care, Zyla will undergo an additional evaluation with Summit Sanctuary's trusted veterinarian, who works directly with the orthopedic surgeon that has previously treated other dogs from the rescue. This additional consultation is made possible by the generous support Zyla has received and will help ensure the best treatment plan is in place while providing further guidance on the next steps in her care. The goal has always been to give Zyla the opportunity to enjoy a long, happy life without relying on daily pain medication. Every decision being made is focused on giving her the healthiest, happiest future possible. As Zyla's journey continues, her sister Zora has recovered beautifully after completing both of her hip surgeries. Seeing Zora's progress continues to bring hope for what lies ahead for Zyla. Thank you for continuing to stand beside Zyla and Summit's Sanctuary. Your generosity is helping ensure she receives the evaluations, treatment, and ongoing care needed to give her the brightest future possible. Another update will be shared following Zyla's orthopedic consultation.

Mustang Is Battling the Unknown, Give Him a Chance at a Future

Dallas, TX • Pooch Savers Rescue

This tiny puppy’s name is Mustang, and right now, his future depends on whether help comes in time. Mustang was sitting in the Richardson Animal Shelter suffering from what appears to be a serious neurological condition. He has experienced multiple seizures just since being taken in by Pooch Savers, and one of the videos attached to this post shows just how critical his condition truly is. No other rescue has stepped forward for him. Pooch Savers wants to save Mustang, but we cannot responsibly commit to a case this severe without funding. This case is going to be complex and we need reources to give little Mustang a fighting chance. An MRI alone is expected to cost approximately $5,000, and that is only the beginning. Mustang may require extensive diagnostics, treatment, and long-term medical care. To say “yes” to Mustang, we need real funding now. He is just a baby. He deserves the chance to be diagnosed, treated, loved, and safe. Please donate if you can. Every dollar brings Mustang one step closer to rescue, answers, and hope. If you cannot donate, sharing this post could save his life. ❤️ 6/24/26 Update We are so thankful for all the love and support that was shown to Mustang through your generous donations. Unfortunately, Mustang was no longer able to fight through the pain and has crossed the rainbow bridge, but was surrounded by lots of love and care.

Amber Never Got the Chance to Take a Normal First Step — But We’re Fighting to Make Sure She Gets One

Oakton, VA • Tiny Cat Animal Rescue

Amber never got the chance at a normal start. Her mother, June, was rescued from a severely overcrowded and neglectful home while emaciated, exhausted, and heavily pregnant. During what was supposed to be an emergency spay appointment, June went into labor inside the trap. The delivery was traumatic, and two of her kittens did not survive. The three surviving babies were incredibly fragile, and Tiny Cat Animal Rescue stepped in to save the little family. But Amber’s battle was only beginning. At just two weeks old, when kittens should be learning to wobble around on tiny legs, Amber couldn’t stand. Her hind legs were limp, her tail had no movement, and she was rushed for neurological exams and x-rays while weighing less than a pound. Despite every obstacle, Amber has never stopped trying. She scoots across the floor to reach toys, people, and the world around her with determination that is impossible to ignore. She is bright, affectionate, and full of life — and most importantly, she is already showing improvement. With early physical therapy and specialized neurological care, Amber has begun regaining strength and movement in both back legs. Her veterinary team believes continued treatment during this critical stage could make all the difference in her future mobility and quality of life. Amber needs ongoing neurology care, diagnostics, rehabilitation therapy, and supportive treatment to continue the progress she has fought so hard for. Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is committed to giving Amber every chance possible — but we need your help. Please donate today to help this brave little kitten keep fighting for her first real steps. 6/16/26 Update With heavy hearts, we share that sweet Amber has passed away. From the moment she entered our care, Amber faced incredible challenges. Born under traumatic circumstances after her mother, June, was rescued from a severe hoarding situation, Amber began her life fighting to survive. At just two weeks old, she was unable to stand, and early examinations revealed significant neurological concerns affecting her hind legs and tail. Despite every obstacle, Amber never stopped trying. She greeted each day with determination, scooting toward toys, cuddles, and the people who loved her. She showed us what resilience looks like in its purest form, and she inspired everyone who followed her journey with her strength and spirit. Thanks to your generosity, Amber received specialized veterinary care, neurological evaluations, physical therapy, and the supportive treatments she needed. Most importantly, she experienced something every animal deserves: love, comfort, safety, and the unwavering devotion of people who were committed to giving her every chance. Sadly, despite the best efforts of her veterinary team and caregivers, Amber's tiny body could not overcome the challenges she faced. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Amber never had to suffer alone. She knew gentle hands, warm beds, full bellies, and endless affection during her time with us. Thank you for believing in Amber and for standing beside Tiny Cat Animal Rescue throughout her journey. Your donations made it possible to provide her with compassionate care and dignity every step of the way. Amber's time with us was far too short, but she leaves behind a lasting reminder of why rescue matters: every life, no matter how small or brief, is precious and worthy of love.

Help Bunny Heal — A Tiny Puppy’s Second Chance

Houston, TX • ThisIsHouston

Our newest save is Bunny — and she’s as small as her story is heartbreaking. At just 8–9 weeks old and weighing only 3 pounds, this tiny puppy found herself alone on a kind citizen’s front porch. Concerned for her safety, they contacted animal control, and Bunny was brought to the shelter to begin her journey toward healing. Bunny was diagnosed with demodex mange, a skin condition caused by Demodex canis mites. Demodectic mange most often occurs in puppies who have immature immune systems, allowing the number of skin mites to increase rapidly. While it's treatable, it can become serious if a secondary bacterial infection sets in, so her rescuers are acting quickly to give her the best chance at a full recovery. Bunny has already had a veterinary checkup and has started the medication she needs, but she's not out of the woods yet. Ongoing treatment and care come with costs, and this sweet, resilient girl still needs your support to fully recover. Your support will go directly toward: • Time-sensitive veterinary care and follow-ups to monitor her condition • Medication to treat the demodex mange and prevent complications • Nutrient-rich food to rebuild her strength as her body struggles to heal • Basic supplies to keep her clean, comfortable, and protected during the recovery process Bunny is just beginning her life, and she deserves to know warmth, safety, and love instead of discomfort and uncertainty. Every donation, share, and kind word helps give this tiny fighter the healthy, happy future she deserves. If you’d like to be part of Bunny’s journey, we’d be so grateful for your support. Together, we can help her heal, grow, and blossom into the playful puppy she was always meant to be. 5/3/26 Update New rescue Bunny is still settling into her foster home, decompressing, and catching up on some much-needed beauty sleep after everything she has been through. For such a tiny puppy, Bunny has had a lot of change in a very short amount of time — from being found alone and frightened on a stranger’s porch, to shelter intake, veterinary exams, medications, and now finally a safe place where she can simply rest. Right now, rest is exactly what her little body needs. She is continuing her treatment for demodex mange while enjoying soft blankets, good meals, and the comfort of knowing she is no longer alone. Each day of proper nutrition, medication, and stress-free recovery helps her immune system do the hard work of healing her skin. We are so grateful that Bunny is finally somewhere she can just be a puppy. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported her journey so far. Your kindness is giving this sweet girl the chance to recover in safety and love. We’ll continue to keep you updated as Bunny blossoms!
