Opel

Opel currently lives near in DeKalb where her parents going to college. Opel lives in an apartment and lives with another cat named Iris. Opel can come across as shy at first, but once her true personality comes out, she is playful, sassy and runs the house. We got Opel when she was a kitten at an animal shelter and have had her since! Opel is an extremely kind and loving cat. She loves attention on her, and she loves to reciprocate that love and attention through giving you head buds and climbing on you. Opel enjoys playing with her "sister," Iris, and they have been together since they were brought home. Opel has never showed any type of aggression, as she's grown up in a loving home. Opel has made a huge impact in the lives of many people. Opel loves to remind us when it's time for breakfast, as well as her mid day snacks, as she can be vocal in that regard. When we have had to spray her with water, she will make a B line straight for you and give you head buds/makes biscuits, almost saying "your not really thattt mad at me." Unfortunately, my boyfriend decided to surprise me with Lily flowers. Although I knew there were certain plants that are toxic for animals, it was under both parents assumption that the Lily's were safe. Opel has a tendency to want to explore anything and everything, compared to Iris, Opel ate this toxic plant. We had to rush her to get care as her kidneys were on the verge of failure. Dom and Brigette, the parents of Opel are students. Brigette is a full time student and works part time, and Dom is also just about to finish up school, working full time when his job allows. We save, and have been able to cover some of these expenses, but not all.
Blaine

Blaine's journey started 5 months ago, when he boarded a van to come to our rescue as part of a group transferred from a high volume shelter about 160 miles away. His chances of finding a forever home were much better with us than in his old shelter. At the end of his ride, Blaine found himself fighting a serious virus and limping around his cage. Now at 9 months old he needs surgery. Blaine not just any kitten. He's already survived a terrible virus with a very high fever, and a unique surgery at 4 months old that made his legs even sized. Before that surgery his knees were very swollen and his foster mom, Beth, said he had a hard time running and playing with other kittens. Afterwards, Blaine quickly started attacking feather toys and pouncing on his house mates! Clarice, Blaine's current foster guardian, says he's a real purr machine who's always on for adventures. Plus, Blaine is big into computer games: he's got all the right moves! You can find him at his iPad in the afternoon, thinking, hunting, stalking...but then he's ready for a nap. How can you not love that little boy who is crazy about his game apps? Blaine has a hip problem, where his legs don't fit correctly into the hip socket. He needs FHO surgery to give him the ability to walk pain-free and to prevent future damage or inflammation. The vet (Dr. Roxane Collins at AnimERge in Raritan, NJ) says Blaine is a great candidate for surgery and doing it at this age is the way to go to be sure he has a good recovery and no future damage. EASEL Animal Rescue is a 501c(3) whose volunteers and staff dedicate themselves to helping over 1000 cats and dogs find good homes every year. We need donors to help support us, so Blaine can get the surgery he needs and live in a wonderful furever home.
Otis
Otis is a 12-year-old in Geneva, OH, who needs $170 for Cytology, Culture and Treatment of Massive, Resistant Ear Infection.

According to animal control, Otis had been wandering around the neighborhood all of his life. When he fell down a hill and collapsed, a kind soul called for help. Never having had a loving home or proper medical care, Otis somehow managed to survive into his senior years...barely. Animal control didn't want Otis to die in a shelter and contacted our Sanctuary for help. Otis is the sweetest little 11 pound bundle of love we've ever had the honor of caring for. Otis loves to eat, is happy, and wags his tail all the time. He can't move very fast, but he does waddle around, exploring his small turf. If ever a little dog deserved love, and care, and good food and medications to make him comfortable in his golden years, Otis does. Because Otis' front legs are deformed and much shorter than his hind legs, it's impossible for him to stand straight and his body is permanently tilted toward the left. He loves to be held and carried and he sinks into our arms and looks up at us with the most adoring eyes. He spends much of his time sleeping on his side, as it helps him breathe and he looks like a little rolly polly doll. His body is worn and broken and his heart is very large. Otis never received dental care or an adequate diet, was anemic from a heavy flea infestation, and has old wounds that never healed properly. It's a miracle that Otis is alive. He has a resistant ear infection that was cultured and a special compounded medication developed. Dr. Tom Zulandt, of Madison Vet Hospital is caring for him. While we can't fix Otis' heart, we can clear up his massive ear infection. The Sanctuary is a registered non-profit and provides lifetime care for old and very sick animals and relies on donations to pay for medical bills. Otis never had care, it's time to care for Otis.
Palmer
Palmer is a 12-year-old in Cape Coral, FL, who needs $582 for Lymphoma.

We came across Palmer at a summer party where a friend had a ready to wean litter of puppies. The puppies were running around, jumping and biting each other. Except one. One sleeping, mellow puppy with gold colored eyes that matched his coat. Such a mellow, laid back dog was the one for us. He outgrew his eye color...and his mellowness. Palmer’s role in the household is he is the one in charge. He always has a Milk bone at 8:00pm, and knows precisely when it’s time. He will take u to his lead when he wants to go, and loves to go in the car. He thinks he is a lapdog, but at 90lbs....he is, a really big lapdog. He is older now, harder to get up on the couch, likes to sleep more...like he’s becoming that mellow little puppy again. Palmer barked at the new neighbor one day, until the neighbor brought him pieces of bacon. I think he likes the neighbor more than us now, waiting at the back fence in the the grass for his buddy with bacon, or bacon that comes with that guy. Also, loves his tennis ball, especially when we start throwing more than one at a time. Palmer threw up one night, several times. I didn’t know what was wrong, but I took off his collar, because I could feel large swollen areas in his neck. He was slower moving, and we had to find a vet, for, what we thought was infection, for antibiotics. The Happiness Animal Hospital we went to diagnosis was lymphoma, he had swollen glands all through his body. I used to be a two income family, doing fairly well with bills, but the loss of my spouse’s income after four surgeries, heart failure, and not able to work, has made making ends meet more difficult, almost impossible. And now, the ecomony is moving that goal further away.
CandyCorn
CandyCorn is a 11-year-old Exotic Shorthair cat in Edinburg, PA, who needs $2,000 for urgent surgery.

The holidays were filled with a devastating series of events for the Connolly family, even for their cat, CandyCorn. CandyCorn's human mom, Marge, was admitted to the hospital on Christmas day and transferred to a nursing facility for rehabilitation. Now CandyCorn is heartbroken and sits in Marge's chair, waiting for her to return. Confused and missing her mom, CandyCorn was then diagnosed by a veterinarian with multiple mammary gland tumors. After discussing treatment, it was determined that removing these tumors would not suffice, and she needs a mastectomy. The family tells Waggle they are trying to raise the money for CandyCorn's surgery immediately, so Marge returns home to a healthy kitty, who means the world to her. CandyCorn was born in Marge's home in 2010. Her husband and grandchildren coined her name after the colorings in the candy. When Marge's husband died in 2012, CandyCorn became her constant companion. Marge has other rescued cats too. VCA Northview Animal Hospital is standing by to schedule CandyCorn's surgery. The Connolly's hope you will give to this campaign so they can all breathe a sigh of relief and hope that 2022 brings no more unexpected medical issues. The Connolly family tells Waggle that CandyCorn spends her days lounging with Marge in her recliner, watching Days of Our Lives and the Hallmark Channel. At night she sleeps on Marge's pillow. Marge says CandyCorn, and her friends, help her handle Alzheimer's. When CandyCorn requires attention, she will reach her paw out and pet you until she gets her way. Since Marge's admittance to the hospital, CandyCorn has sat in her recliner waiting for her. CandyCorn is an extremely personable kitty cat. She is a great snuggler and will notify you of her needs using her paws to gain attention. She spends her days within a foot of Marge at all times. Her favorite game is to run in circles around the house, nimbly maneuvering obstacles in her way, climbing the cat trees and furniture with ease. This game generally takes place around 2 am, as purr usual. Please help CandyCorn get better in time for her mom to come home!

I rescued her from Puerto Rico through a Student Vermont project. She was a street dog turned loving companion. The local shelters in Puerto Rico were full and unable to take her in. All of her brothers and sisters were adopted and, with euthanasia being the last option, she was sent to Vermont as a last attempt at finding her a home. She came to us when we (my son and I) were living in a homeless shelter. I'm a single mom who was dealing with a domestic violence situation but I could not leave her at the shelter. She is sensitive to the anxiety attacks the constantly plague my son and I and utilizes touch therapy that she was trained for in order to help us cope through our episodes. She is a service dog for CPTSD and Autism for both my son and me. Losing her would be like losing a limb - she's vital to our family. The best part of her is her level of sassiness and stubborness. Although she is vertically challenged (super short legs), she refuses to let that stop her from jumping at least 3 feet in the air and outrunning all other dogs. Dr. Lara Gardner is treating her at Pieper Memorial Hospital in Middletown, CT. She was admitted for a gastric foreign body and surgery is the only way to save her life. Dr. Gardner is doing everything in her power to save my fur-child and it is only fair that I do everything in my power to help the situation. Coming from our background, my son and I are of limited means financially but I refuse to give up on her. She has been there for me when I needed her and now it is my turn to return the favor.

Beaux was found on scene of a residential fire chained next to an empty bowl and a cracked “shelter” that provided little protection. On the night his previous owners mindlessly surrendered him, it was 34°F and sleeting. In his 2 years of life, it was confirmed Beaux had never lived indoors or been to a vet. Beaux has since transformed into an indoor doggo and loves to cuddle with our 3 pitties! For the first week, Beaux was terrified of many things found in a common household. He simply didn’t understand this new environment and often hid if we praised any stride of courage he made. We quickly discovered that Beaux was constantly watching and learning from our dogs. He has fully come out of his shell and does not appear to have ANY fears. He LOVES other dogs, cuddles, and every toy. Being a rescue that has only lived outside, we are amazed at how quickly he learns right from wrong. This past month, we have slowly been working on his manners. Within a couple days, Beaux learned to ring bells to go potty. Although it sometimes drives us crazy, we adore how much he loves his toys. We’ve stopped picking them all up since Beaux will have every single one out within 10 minutes. After learning Beaux had never been to a vet, we immediately had him seen. Unfortunately, Beaux tested positive for heart worms. Aside from this diagnosis, Beaux is a very happy and healthy boy. Our vet found no other concerns and he was recently neutered. Beaux has not shown any change in behavior or energy. Without a visit to the vet, no one would know this sweet boy was heart worm positive. Dr. Klein at Olde Towne Vet has been amazing in helping us get this boy the care he needs. Due to us already having 3 pitties, Beaux’s unexpected diagnosis has been a financial strain for us. We would love any help to ensure he gets the treatment he deserves.

The house which he gets along with his sister Stacy who they both are unsearable they cuddle next to each other everytime. We have 4 kids in the house and they lo ve him he brings us so much joy and happiness his energy and playfulness makes us want to fight for him till the end Jackson likes to cuddle with his sister he likes to shake he's very obedient he makes us all smile he makes us laugh he's a cuddle buddy the whole family loves him! We went to the vet and the vet said that this could be easily treated with just a surgery it would be better if we could get it sooner than later so he won't be in so much pain went to the doctor on 3-2-2022 the veterinarian said that he's not ready to die and there's no necessary putting him down! Puppy Miss DJ needs major surgery to fix her broken heart. This adorable chocolate puppy is scheduled to have her operation the day after Valentine's Day, and Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is scrambling for donations to pay for her care. DJ has a life-threatening condition called "persistent right aortic arch." The aorta in her heart is cutting off part of her esophagus, preventing food from getting to her stomach. Without surgery, she will die from starvation. That would be just devastating and heartbreaking. Research shows that a large majority of puppies with this condition are helped with surgery and live a normal life. Right now, her foster mom (who is a saint) feeds her a special gruel formula and then keeps her upright in a baby sling for about a half-hour to let gravity help take the food to the puppy's stomach. She is having this tricky surgery and a CT scan at Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital (AVES) in Austin. A board-certified surgeon will perform the operation. The rescue has to raise thousands of dollars to pay the bill. "We are doing all we can to raise the money as quickly as possible so we can give the animal hospital the payment. We hope and pray Lab lovers out there will help come to her rescue," the Lucky Lab tells Waggle. The rescue is a nonprofit organization that helps dogs with severe medical conditions. Please help mend DJ's broken heart!
