Hello, my Jax is 4 years old and the sweetest dog in the world. He loves cuddling and has constant zoomies. He came into my life by being kicked out by his owner for being the runt and he walked up to my door and I let him walk straight in and we’ve been best friends since. He was immediately comfortable in my home and went to nap right away. He is the guardian of the house. He looks around to see where everyone is, any noise that’s being made he needs to find it. When he’s off duty he is sleeping in my bed or staring at my mom do her makeup. He’s happy to see any of our family members walk through the door and gives an excited greeting. He just has so many things that make him different. He’s big and muscular but he can be a big baby. He is scared of lightning and thunder and will hide under the bed when it comes. Any human or cat that comes around is fair game though, he becomes fearless. He’s a bully so he has characteristics of a bulldog. His lips get stuck behind his teeth and it makes us laugh so much. He for some reason started bleeding from his private areas. Don’t really know why or how it started. It’s getting worse and I really need to take him to the VCA belt line East hospital in mesquite tx. Never took him before so idk who the treating vet would be but please help my dog. We lost another dog a year ago and we couldn’t stand to lose him too. I am a server at a restaurant and only get paid on a check so I don’t get cash quickly. I get paid on Wednesday and would be able to take him then but it quickly turned into an emergency. My mom and brother get paid Tuesday.
Mattie
Mattie is an eight-year-old Poodle mix in Fairbanks, AK, who needs $1,300 for emergency dental treatment.

Mattie's owner adopted her five years ago. They love each other deeply. But recently, her owner landed in the hospital after a tragic accident and can't leave until both her broken ankles heal. Right now the best friend of Mattie's owner is caring for the dog. Mattie just developed a horrendous dental condition, and now she needs help. She had a sudden infection go from unnoticeable to horrible at the same time as her owner's accident. Her teeth became so painful she couldn't eat. She needs urgent dental surgery at Chena Veterinary Clinic to clean up her teeth and ease her pain. Everyone is struggling to pay for Mattie's surgery. Both Mattie's owner and her best friend are on disability. They said to Waggle, "Any help would be so appreciated to reduce our burden. Chena Vet is helping keep costs low; maybe you can help two older women and our little dog?" Mattie means the world to her owner. She is a small sweet girl who doesn't want to do much but hang out in her owner's arms. She adores treats, pets, and gentle affection. She is a quiet observer, well-natured, and never ceases to bring joy to her owner and her friends.
Espresso
Espresso is an 11-year-old Siamese cat mix in Huntington, WV, who needs $2,000 for urgent leg surgery.

Espresso's rescue story is so incredible it will give you goosebumps! Sheer timing and a man who turned out to be a good Samaritan narrowly saved this cat's life. The man was driving during a downpour and thought he saw the glimpse of an animal's eyes reflect in his headlights. It was dark and raining, but he felt like he should pull over and investigate. His hunch was correct! That's when this hero spotted a cat dragging his horribly injured leg behind him, struggling on the side of the road. So what does the man do? He fearlessly picked up the kitty, put him in his car, and brought him home so he would be safe. Then he contacted One By One Animal Advocates. "We are just so thankful the man had such a big heart and didn't just drive on by," Heather A., with the group, tells Waggle. "The man said the cat's leg was dangling; he was in such bad shape. The man didn't have the resources to care for the cat. It was a lot for him to take on. We are so grateful he contacted us, and we could help." One By One brought Espresso to the Proctorville Animal Clinic, and X-rays showed he suffered a devastating break in one of his back legs. "We're assuming he was hit by a car to suffer that kind of injury," Heather says. "Espresso has to have an operation where the surgeon will pin the bone so it will heal. Six to eight weeks later, the pin will be removed. Espresso is expected to do very well and will eventually be up for adoption." The group says they have so much to be grateful for this holiday season. They hope generous pet lovers will contribute to Espresso's campaign so he can get his surgery. "The resilience of animals to survive will never cease to amaze me," Heather adds. "I am thankful the man chose to stop in the rain to help an old cat. I'm so thankful Espresso is a fighter. The vet said he has not stopped purring and does everything in his power to catch their attention for head rubs and love. This is why we do what we do, to give an old cat a chance to recover and be loved. The hero didn't give up. Espresso didn't give up. We hope others won't give up on him and will donate."
Annie
Annie is a 7-year-old Bluetick Coonhound in Orrville, OH, who needs $1,900 for Amputation and Chemotherapy.

Sadly, we had lost our previous Bluetick, Daisie, to cancer in the summer of 2015. She left her best buddy, Poo, behind and lonely. A couple of months later we saw Annie's picture on PetFinder and fell in love,! She reminded us so much of Daisie! Annie was a stray that had been taken to the local dog pound in West Virginia. We drove from NE OH right away, and Poo was so happy to have a new friend! Annie was a blessing to all of us. However, she was quite a challenge at first as she definitely wanted to hunt! We modified our privacy fence around the yard with add'l height because Annie could scale any fence we had with no problem to chase a squirrel, cat or anything that moved! She settled in and became a very spoiled housedog. She did not know what toys were but Poo was quick to show her! Annie's favorite friend, buddy, companion was Poo (age 13) who had passed suddenly in April this year. With cornea replacement surgery, we had given Poo one good eye for his last years. An unseen lemon-size tumor was found around Poo's heart when he passed. Annie was lost w/o him but has learned to enjoy the attention of being the only dog, and taking up the extra space in the bed with us! We found out the week of Christmas that Annie has a large tumor/sarcoma on her humerus. Our local vet in Orrville referred us to an oncologist at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron OH. The treatment for Annie would be amputation of the limb followed by chemo. Annie is one of the overall healthiest dogs we have had, and has so much life, joy and goofiness that she is trying to hold on to. My husband took and early retirement due to Covid risks, which has cut our income a lot. The past 5 yrs have been difficult for us with the care for our pups and we have used most of our available funds, including 401K withdrawals. We hope we can do all we can for Annie.
Earl

Hello. I recently had a waggle for Earl brother Ashton. Unfortunately Ashton passed away before he could reach his goal. Earl has cancer and is a diabetic. Trying to get help to pay for his radiation treatments. He goes to acupuncture once every other week for treatments. His diabetes have been maintained thankfully. We would like to see if Ashton proceeds could get put towards Earl? Earl is a lovely boy. He loves every human he comes into contact with. Sometimes a little overbearing! That’s who the sweet boy is though. He was rescued from a trailer of fighting roosters and doesn’t have any teeth. Main reason he’s diabetic. I’ve been able to work with him he just adores people. The vet loves him! Earl is special right now because of the loss of Ashton he brings peace to this house. I love buying his medicine, him greeting me and everything about him. He brings me so much joy into my life I wouldn’t change it. Earl deserves a second chance if I’m able to get his cancer out of his body and get his insulin levels where needed I wanna do that. He has helped me through all my tough times. Well Earl is diabetic so it’s an ongoing issue of making sure he has insulin, insulin needles, his strips and special food. Also with cancer going on as well he has medicine for that. It’s a huge financial burden that’s why I need support for his cancer treatments. Vet is Fix Ur Pet who is his vet. They recommended me to do this find help for cancer treatments. Well I was unemployed because of covid. Right now I was able to finally get full time again. I’m still behind on mortgage and other bills.That’s why I am asking for help. It would be great to have Ashtons funds transferred if allowed. He means a lot to me.
Daisy

Daisy 'came across my desk' as I am a volunteer with WDR, a dog rescue in San Francisco, for about 3 or 4 years but with COVID, I was sadly dogless. Daisy was so pretty when another fosterer asked me to take over temporarily. Temp turned into 6 months, now a year, recently I adopted her as she was 'a liability' with her temperament changed after neutered. It was after about 3 or 4 months here the Rescue discovered Daisy, a then 9 (now 11, guess) had never been neutered. She appears so well-trained, hard to believe she was a stray. It was sad to see her neutered (the law) but they found a tumor in her chest area, maybe her life was saved. She did have balance issues, I was reluctant to adopt her from WDR as she can bite! She can be neurotic to dogs! Daisy can be very intuitive about situations, even if she is not listened to (not just a pretty face); she loves Charlie! Another special pup to an 80 year old wheelchair bound man - he and Daisy became inseparable, why I adopted her also - however, Charlie's 'dad' died and Daisy was left alone with me. She likes being on my scooter (back) with me. She eats chicken almost exclusive Her health seemed perfect, she walked a lot but refused to be carried after her operations (tumor and neuter), and then became aggressive but I noticed her balance off a lot when walking, and so when she screamed I thought it was something in her paw. She has to be sedated now by vet and on Rimadyl for possible inflammation. WDR can't afford the x-rays needed to determine treatment after weeks I am low income and disabled. I cannot afford vet bills and though always wanted a dog, for this reason I have only fostered. The vet knows Daisy but can't offer direct support. I would love to see Daisy able to walk again, you can see she loves outdoors but is independent.
Necee

Lately, life has been financially devastating for so many people, including Shauna E. She lost her job because of COVID, then lost everything in a hurricane. Just as Shauna was down and out emotionally, a dog appeared at her door! "She was really dirty and hungry," Shauna tells Waggle. "I gave her some water, then some food. After that, she would never leave, almost like she knew I needed her just as much as she needed me." Shauna named her Necee, and they immediately bonded. But recently, Necee was bitten by a snake or spider and needs immediate medical care at the Lake Charles Louisiana Downtown Animal Hospital. "The bite has made a hole in her front left paw," Shauna says. After all the economic disasters Shauna has suffered, she can't pay for Necee's care. She launched this campaign, hoping you might make their new year brighter. "Please help me with her funds," she says. "I love Necee so much. Unemployment isn't helping me, so now I'm just doing what I can to make ends meet. Necee is my child. Losing her will destroy my hope and faith. Please help us. She is worth it!"
Polly
Polly is a three-year-old cat in Neola, IA, who needs $1,800 for complications due to urinary tract and constipation issues.

When Kimberlee D. found a tiny kitten in her barn that couldn't walk, she saw nothing but a beautiful life that needed saving. "She would fit in the palm of our hands, and her little back legs just didn't work," Kimberlee tells Waggle. "I brought her to the vet. They said she didn't have any feeling in her legs, and she would likely never walk. No one knows what happened." Kimberlee started looking around for a special needs rescue for Polly, but then she fell further in love with the beautiful wide-eyed kitten. "I got attached, and I could not let her go," Kimberlee says. "Polly is also incontinent and wears diapers. We call them fancy pants. I can't imagine my life without her now." Over the years, Polly has had her share of expensive medical issues. She had a terrible problem in one of her back legs, and it needed to be amputated. But Polly didn't let that or any of her physical challenges get her down. "Polly is an inspiration to everyone in our home," Kimberlee adds. "She doesn't let anything dull her spunky spirit. Even on her toughest days, she seeks out companionship with her furry siblings and her humans. Polly loves to meow at her humans when the treat dish gets low." Polly regularly battles severe urinary tract infections and constipation due to the paralysis in her hind end. Kimberlee has spent thousands of dollars on veterinary bills treating these ailments with antibiotics, medications, and subcutaneous fluids. For the first time in Kimberlee's life, she's having trouble paying Polly's expenses. Recently Kimberlee had her own devastating health crises; she needed emergency heart surgery, and then she got COVID. She had to miss work, and she's struggling to get back on track financially. Kimberlee says she was hesitant to ask for financial assistance, but she needs help paying for Polly's care at The Shelby Vet Clinic. She wants anyone who gives to Polly's campaign to know what a difference they're making in both their lives! "Saying thank you seems so inadequate," Kimberlee says. "I have Polly and a few other special needs cats, and I've never asked for help. I can't tell you how grateful I am."

I got Archie from someone who had kittens, I have had him going one 2 1/2 years now I got him when he was 4 months old recently he started peeing on things as he’s Neutered and should not be marking territory I cannot get him to stop I’ve tried everything my last result is to bring him to the vet and get a UTI test unfortunately I cannot afford that at the moment He sleeps in my room or in the living room he has a brother and sister I recently just got the female cat he has me and my fiancé around 24 seven only time we’re not here is when we’re at work or we have to go do something we have two cat boxes we have food safe spaces I’m just not understanding why he’s peeing on everything He is a big fluffy goofball wants to lay on his back with his legs in the air he love playing with laser pointer he loves his treats and love his wet food he loves going in the tub while you use the bathroom he also loves to drink from the Faucet he loves to be held way you use the bathroom he’s just a big cuddle bug I have brought him to the vet once before for UTI in 2020 and recently I brought him to the vet for a upper respiratory infection where he was put on medication and got better no lingering signs of the respiratory infection he is fully neutered no underlying conditions he’s a 13 pound boy such a good boy when not peeing on my bed I am at them moment financially struggling I only make enough to cover my rent for the month along ways heat and electricity as the holiday season is a tough time for my job as I am a after school provider for the boys and girls club of America
