Lola

I got Lola when I was 16 years old from an Amish farm in the country. She has been my bestie since I was a kid. My house is tailored around her. I don’t even have my bed on a bed frame because she has dislocating knee sockets. She hangs out with me while I work at the groomers or do house boarding with dogs she loves making new doggio friends. Lola is a mommy’s girl I live alone and she’s always by my side! Even as I type this she’s just sitting on the couch in my pillow watching me. She loves to cuddle and gets upset if she’s not in the middle of everything! Since covid she’s really been extra attention loving because she gets to go everywhere with me Lol oh yes! She only eats her food if I’m in the room with her and she brings each individual piece next to me and eats it. She also will smack you with her paw if you don’t pet her. She’s also very upset if I leave the room with out her. She wants to be everywhere I go and is very vocal if not included. She also howls to music. I would of loaded a video but says it’s too big. She goes to Brighton animal hospital in Brighton Michigan she needs a couple surgery’s but this is the one I need help with I can pay for the other one. But she has an infection in her tooth I found out at her check up appointment last week and it can speed through her body if I don’t get her dental work done asap. I am a dog caretaker I deal with high anxiety dogs and I also am a groomer. She just has two surgery’s she needs I can afford the other one but I can’t come up with the money fast enough and I don’t want the infection to spread in the 2 months I’d need to save the money.
Pauly

Pauly is about to turn two. I adopted him from a rescue when he was just about three months old, they tell me he was born in Texas. We live with Rainy, another, smaller, black dog. She was not thrilled when he arrived but now they're best buddies. He loves all humans, dogs and cats. He's also a very good mouser. Pauly is pretty good at just chilling out, as long as he's had one decent walk that day. When he was very young he initially would not leave the property to go on walks. I think after so many changes (the ride all the way up here, then the foster home, then me) he was afraid I'd take him away and give him to someone else. The most remarkable thing about him is definitely how much he loves everyone. Once he was way ahead of me at the dog park and when I caught up to him he was sprawled across the lap of a man who was sitting on the ground with his friends. I thought, from a distance, "that must be his dog, where's Pauly?" but then is was him! He's about 50# so he's not what one generally think of as a lap dog. Pauly is still quite a puppy at heart and loves to run and play. but he has luxating patellas (his kneecaps are "loose" and move around in ways they're not supposed to). It causes him pain and he can't keep up with the other dogs. When he wrestles with other dogs he sometimes hurts his knee again and cries out. He also can't walk very far. Pauly's vet is Midway Animal Hospital in St Paul, MN. I have been unemployed and now have a new job but have some catching up to do financially. I have put off surgery for a while already, hoping it wasn't that bad, but it's getting worse and likely to affect his long term health
Kage
Kage is a seven-year-old Bullmastiff/Pit Bull mix in New Castle, IN, who needs $900 for leg surgery.

Kage needs your help so he can have surgery, stat to remove his leg. He's in extreme pain. "In June of this year, Kage's left front paw and leg started to swell, Kathryn S., Kage's owner, tells Waggle. "Within a day, his dew claw turned black, and his leg tripled in size. He was diagnosed with cellulitis. He lost 60% of his skin, all the way down to muscle on his leg. Now his bones are dissolving." Kage's veterinarian at the Country Acre Animal Clinic says Kage needs his leg amputated. But Kathryn is struggling to pay for Kage's surgery. "In 2018, my older brother, David, rescued Kage from a life of abuse and neglect," Kathryn says. "In early 2019, my brother died by suicide, and I took in Kage. He came to me a scared and broken dog, along with the two other dogs my brother had at the time of his death. Since bringing Kage into my life, though the circumstances were less than ideal, he has been both a light and a rock for me." Kathryn made many changes after her brother passed away. "I had to move from my home in Georgia to be with family in Indiana," she says. "I make less money now, and it would take too long to save the money necessary to afford Kage's surgery. He saved my life, and I now need to save his. Amputation is his only chance." Kage is an enormous-sized loving dog with a lot of life and love left to give. "Kage usually brings a mix of emotions upon first impressions," Kathryn says. "Where some see a big powerful dog who could eat them in one gulp, others see his wrinkly face and fall in love immediately. One thing is true, once anyone sees the lovable goof that I know and love, they fall in love too. His heart is about as big as his head." Kage loves his toys. Not the ones you would expect either. Instead of toys built for a big tough guy like himself, he wants the soft small ones you would get for a much smaller dog. He also loves his jammies, which can be a challenge due to his size. He loves car rides but needs the backseat to himself, but he especially loves his best friends, two five-pound chihuahua mixes, as well as Kathryn's Lab mix.

I found my cat at the animal shelter. She's 17 years old. I don't know anything about her past but currently she lives with me and I take care of her. She's sick also so I give her meds every 12 hours. All I know is she was brought to the shelter and she's old so they were going to put her down. She's the sweetest. Her paperwork suggested she's indoor only. Cali is my elderly cat I give her her meds every 12 hours. I put it in her food and it seems to work. She's very loving and friendly. She loves to cuddle and loves when mommy brushes her. She was used to table food when I got her so I give her a bite every once in a while. I have her on Friskies food. She definitely runs the house! I love having her. She helps me with my anxiety. I love the way when she yells. I say come here baby come see mama the way she runs to me is funny and cute. How she watches tv is funny she yells and it sounds like a child. She makes the funniest sounds when she sleeps with us. I love when she talks to me and how she follows me everywhere even to the bathroom or how every time I leave the house she cries. My cat goes to Newport Animal Hospital in Middletown, RI. She has a thyroid problem that she's on medication for. She's elderly at 17 years old but she's pretty healthy other than her thyroid condition and her arthritis. You can tell she has pain in her back by the way she walks. I know I could not leave her there she needed some love somebody who's not going to leave her. She's 17 and I just want her to feel happy and loved. I'm low income and I appreciate any help. I have her going going to Newport Animal Hospital for veterinarian care.

Carolina Cat Rescue has a big goal, and they're optimistic you can help! All they want is for the three nearly blind kittens they saved: Bebe, Cici, and Gigi, to see the families that will eventually adopt them. The rescue realized saving Bebe, Cici and Gigi would result in significant medical bills. "It was clear the kittens were suffering in the shelter, and we knew upfront the cost to save them would stretch our small budget," Karie says. "They had active eye infections, major swelling, and obvious corneal scarring that was affecting their ability to see. But once you looked past their obvious impairment, what we could see was loving kittens who needed a chance. I said, 'kittens are so resilient, we have to give them a try." The kittens are now in a foster home, and the eye medication they are receiving has helped decrease the inflammation and fight off the infection caused by the herpes virus. Karie is hopeful surgery performed by the veterinary medical team at Animal Eye Care Associates will help remove much of the scarring and give them all a second chance to see. "We are committed to helping them re-gain as much sight as possible. The hope is one day they will be able to see the love of their new family," Karie says.

I got Lucy from someone who was rehoming her. She’s 7 years old. Her and my other cat Nala get along very well. She can be a little skiddish but she’s getting used to her new home and family. She loves to jump in bed with me and cuddle. She loves getting petted and loved on. She’s one of the sweetest cats I’ve met. Lucy is very affectionate. She loves to jump in your lap and get all the lovings she can. She’s good with my daughter and my younger cat Nala. Lucy is still getting used to being in a new house with new people but she’s adjusting very quickly. She already jumps in my lap all the time wanting petted and loved on I work part time for 9.50/hr my fiancé recently lost his job so we’re struggling financially. I just want to give Lucy a comfortable pain free life and a loving home she can spend the rest of her day in. I don’t want her to be in pain anymore and I want her to be able to eat I got Lucy from a girl that was seeking to rehome her due to personal reasons. I took her to my veterinarian a few days after getting her just for a wellness check to make sure she was healthy. This is when the veterinarian told me that Lucy has severe gingivitis and almost all her teeth need to be removed. Due to her gingivitis it is painful for her to eat so she’s loosing weight Lucy is very much a lap cat. She’s older so she doesn’t really play. But she loves to head butt you for her pets. She’ll sit in my lap all night purring. She loves treats even though she’s having a hard time eating. If she’s not laying in my lap or bed she’s under the couch. Lucy will sit and lay down on command like a dog which I find really cool

Allee and Alexx were rescue from Love a Stray I got them in 2004 after along year of health issues losing my Mom and Pookie 12. So I wanted to cheer up and saw these 2 my first time getting 2 at once but I always had a black cat and Alexx was my first boy. Went home to think about it and was in Love So I wake up the next day and I had a names I gotta go pick up Alexx and Allee today I hoped they were still there so I went as soon as they opened they were so what I need to be saved and I saved them. They travelled moved a lot very laid back and friendly they even welcomed Lilee in 2010. I have always been able to keep a good budget for the 3. I am on disability and past 5 yrs have been challenging for a lot has happened in my health it holding back to work Part time. They are my life. I want Allee and Lilee updated on their health so they can thrive more... Allee had a UTI in 2020 got her seen but then she had a allergy on her skin,new, so she was seen month before Alexx passed did ok but I can't handle another loss right now. I have always been good with their health bought Pro Plan Plus Fancy Feast always groomed and safe and loving home. With love.. Oh Alexx was a character from the start when I picked them up he was teasing his sister while she was in the liter box, his big ears and her beautiful gold eyes I just was so lucky to have them in my life they saved me. Alexx unfortunately passed 6/1/21. Allee has been very sad but her UTI is back..

Cinnadoodle chose me for his human guardian when he walked up to me one Sunday night, and followed me up to my front door. After searching for his lost family, he has been the greatest gift I never expected these last 2 years. He is the only pet I have had as an adult, and inspires me to wake up every day and try to be the best human I can through the changes in our lives. As protector and fearless guardian of our home, Cinnadoodle always comes to greet me when I return. And on WFH days while I work, he naps close at hand where he can make sure I'm safe, until it's time to play together. Thriving on human companionship he thrills at games of chase the rainbow string and catch the intruder in his space fort. Until evening when he warms my heart, head under my chin. As motivated by food as I, Cinnadoodle easily learned to sit on command for fish and fowl of every kinds. His chitters at birds through the window are pure music. His plaintive requests for fresh pet minutes before 8pm, and anytime the fridge opens, or a can opens, or 5:01 am, are magic. He has learned his harness means an adventure outside our home, and deigns to acquiesce - because who can resist?!? My fur angel didn't wake me up this Friday morning, he barely touched his Fresh Pet, and stood straining in his litter box for over 5 minutes before giving up. He tried to hide his pain. He tried to tell me pain was clouding his ability to share his favorite activities, and I listened. I found an emergency vet willing to help his pain immediately. Pain caused by a recent urinary tract blockage... Cinnadoodle is my fur angel, my guardian as much as I am his. However, the cost of his critical care far exceeds the limited emergency funds I had after the increasing expenses of this year's personal Iife changes and the cost of repaying the privilege of education.

Boots is approximately 14 years old and is semi feral. He has lived his whole life outdoors in the elements. Since his last injury as a feral cat, I have taken him into retirement with his sister Luna. They live in my garage together with their own “crates” that remain open so they have free reign of the double car garage. They are living up retirement with heat, air conditioning, heating pads, cooling mats, fans, radio for comfort, unending wet and dry food and lots of snuggles. Well, as much as a semi feral kitty will tolerate. He enjoys his new sliding glass door installed just for them to have kitty TV. The next project an outdoor catio. Boots LOVES his crunchy food. He is very passionate about putting his entire head into the dry food bowl. So much so that I can’t refill it. Such a silly boy. He has finally learned how to play with toys and enjoyed his first experience with catnip. It’s very heartwarming watching these firsts for him as a grown cat. He no longer has to fight to stay alive. Boots has a probable tooth abscess and at least 3 other teeth that need extracted. The abscess is the lower canine tooth that seems to have broken off at the gums. At least 2 other canines have partially splintered off. With him being semi feral it has been hard to assess him to gather enough info to research treatment options. Will be seeking care from Helping Hands in Richmond for extractions. I am caring for 3 feral cats and have my own 2 cats. I feed no less then 20 cats and spay/neuter MANY community cats all out of my own pocket. Boot’s sister needs medication twice daily and monthly labs for her thyroid condition. I am a medical assistant & my husband is a teacher.
