Pearl
Pearl is a two-year-old Pit Bull mix in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for emergency treatment after ingesting poison.

Hurricane Ida's fury left a trail of heartbreak, death, and destruction in its path for so many, including Madison S. Now, she and her dog Pearl need your help. When the storm struck, Madison grabbed her dogs and fled their home. "We left Louisiana and came to Texas because we didn’t have electricity, water, or gas," Madison tells Waggle. But soon after they thought they were safe in the Lone Star State, another disaster struck; during all the commotion of moving, Pearl and her doggie brother managed to eat Advil pills, which can be very dangerous, even deadly for dogs. "They were rushed to the hospital and are currently being treated for poisoning. They are at Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. I wish I would have never left, or this wouldn’t have happened," Madison says. Pearl's treatment is expensive, and Madison is panicking because she can't afford it. "I am out of work right now due to most of Louisiana has no electricity and is damaged," she says. "Pearl is my child. I would do anything to have her healthy again." Madison originally rescued Pearl, with her adorable ears, from The Louisiana SPCA. "She was so excited when she saw us through the window," Madison says. "We knew she was the one. Pearl is our little diva. She is the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. She is a people person. She loves everyone and everything. She has a great personality. She is loving, sassy, and such a happy dog." Please help Madison save Pearl so they can start getting their lives back on track after the hurricane.
Marvin
Marvin is a five-year-old Hound Mix in Huntington, WV, who needs $2000 for emergency care.

Marvin had been shot and was so sick he laid behind a restaurant for days until someone contacted One By One Animal Advocates and begged the nonprofit group to help the dog. "He was a local stray," Heather A., with the organization, tells Waggle. "He was sore to the touch. He was not moving, eating, or drinking. He was unable to lift his head." The group arranged for someone to pick up Marvin and rush him to the Proctorville Animal Clinic for critical care. That's where the medical team found his abdomen was rigid because Marvin had been shot with buckshot that was now lodged in his body. "To think someone intentionally shot him is so incredibly sad," Heather says. "I can't understand it. It's hard for me to process. I can't imagine looking at a living, happy animal and shooting them. It hurts for me to think about." Marvin tested positive for Lyme and Ehrlichia, which are both tickborne diseases, and was deathly ill. He also has advanced heartworm disease. Marvin is now hospitalized and is being treated with pain medication, antibiotics for the tickborne diseases, and skin infection he developed from being shot. The goal is to allow his gunshot wounds to heal --- if the buckshot doesn't seem to cause him pain, the veterinarian believes it's best to leave it and not surgically remove it. Once Marvin recovers, he will be treated for heartworm. Heather says there was just no way she could say "no" to taking Marvin when she saw his pictures. "You could just see how much pain he was in," she says. "He had a pleading look in his eyes, hoping someone would help him." Marvin already knows he's in a place where people love and care about him. "We are showering him with attention," Heather says. "He physically feels better. We never want him to remember the sadness and pain." Once Marvin is all fixed up, he will be ready for adoption. Ashe
Ashe is a three-year-old Chihuahua Mix in Hillsboro, OR, who needs $685 for a doggie wheelchair.

Waggle and the Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals (OFOSA) hope you can help Ashe get the new set of wheels he needs! The rescue group doesn't know what happened to Ashe before they saved him, but after extensive testing and visits to specialists, it appears Ashe has a neurological condition, and he can't use his back legs. But Ashe is a determined, tenacious young dog, and getting him a doggie wheelchair will help him live a happy life. "He can use his front legs and pull himself," Anne H., with OFOSA, tells Waggle. "He's got a spunky attitude. After doing some underwater therapy, they determined he would really do well with a wheel cart because clearly, he wants to be able to get around." The rescue initially saved Ashe from a shelter, and the group feared because he was injured, Ashe would likely be euthanized. He has been living in a foster home where he won everyone's hearts. Dr. Mandi Blackwelder at Healing Arts Animal Care fitted Ashe for his much-needed wheels. Once he gets them and adjusts, he will be up for adoption in the Portland, Oregon, area. "He just looks so cute, and he's got a lot of life left. So let's give him the best chance at enjoying life," Anne says. "We are a 501c3 nonprofit foster-based animal rescue. We like to help medically fragile animals heal and find their forever homes. We would love help paying for Ashe's wheels so he can hit the road to his new home!"
Gimli
Gimli is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Big Lake, MN, who needs $1,575 for dental surgery to remove broken canines.

Precious Gimli was found abandoned and starving. We picked him up and brought him home. After a vet visit and time to decompress, we started looking for his owner so to no avail. The vet thinks he definitely had a home at some point due to his gentle and friendly demeanor. We started looking for rescues but were turned down by all. We are fostering him in the hopes to get him healthy. Gimli is currently decompressing and adjusting to his new foster home. Mostly he is just trying to get well. Starting to take soft food. He feels much better after a bath! He was wet cold and covered in urine. He is showing improvement every day! He is learning to trust his foster mom slowly. We are the guardians of this sweet boy. We have covered his exam, vaccines, wormer, chip and snap testing. We just need a little more help to raise money for his broken teeth. We will then be able to find him a home. We are doing this on our own as the rescues are full. Gimli has been to the vet and we found out he has 2 broken canine teeth which is likely due to survival. We have been able to cover all of his expenses but just need a little help from some kind people to fix his teeth so that he is healthy enough for adoption. We have found a vet that will do his surgery for a reasonable price. They have been so kind when most vets are so full these days. It’s hard to believe this little guy was near death when we found him abandoned just a few days ago and now he’s walking and even willing to show his belly as long as you are close by. Murphy
Murphy is a 6-year-old Terrier Mix in Baton Rouge, LA, who needs $900 for emergency care.

In 2016 a small terrier mix was found running in the middle of busy road in Baton Rouge, LA. His picture was posted on our Neighborhood site for anyone who wanted him and give him a forever home. One of my neighbors decided to "give him a chance." Four months later I found him running loose. Later I discovered he had been thrown out and no longer wanted. That day he became a member of our family. Murphy is a delightful pup. Full of love and wants attention. He was house trained and loved walking throughout the neighborhood. He gets along well with Ernie (cat) and Louie (dog). He is loved by my husband (who passed on February 11, 2021 from cancer), Andrew (son) and myself. Murphy is also my shoulder to cry on and my reading buddy. I love him very much and so upset that he is now ill. I recently lost my husband to cancer which resulted in a decrease of income. I am retired and on a fixed income. I so need my fur baby healthy and back home where he belongs. Please, please help. On Tuesday, 9/28/21, Murphy became extremely ill. He was throwing up non stop. On Wednesday, 9/29/21 I rushed him to my veterinarian (Jefferson Animal Hospital). After extensive blood work discovered he was extremely dehydrated, severe case of pancreatitis and is diabetic (sugar level was 600). I had to rush him to the emergency hospital (Sherwood South Animal Hospital). He was admitted and is still there. Murphy has a silly smile and crazy ways. He will stand up to the cat and then sleep with the cat in the same bed. He loves to cuddle and gives me many happy days. He follows me wherever I go and tries to help do things that he can't understand is not meant for dogs. I would however love it if he could cut the lawn or do the laundry. LOL.
Biggins
Biggins is a 1-year-old Pit bull in Commerce City, CO, who needs $900 for Parvovirus treatment.

We rescued Biggins as a puppy. He just turned a year old in August of this year. He has two siblings: Buddy and Daisy. He's our baby. We have a big yard for lots of play time and we like to go hiking on the weekends. He's a fantastic swimmer and anytime there's water around he can't stay out of it. Biggins is the most amazing dog you'll ever meet. He is the most sweet puppy. Cuddles and food are his favorite things. He's grown up with my daughter and they are best friends. He wakes her up in the morning with his famous Wee Woos. He's still very convinced that he is a lap dog, even at 100lbs. One of his favorite things to do is squish you given the chance. I have just started medical school and am currently working a part time job. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford his vet bill. I have paid $300 towards it so far but the total will be closer to $1200 and Im trying to find a way to pay for it. Any help is so appreciated. Biggins is currently in in patient care at Planned Pethood in Denver, Colorado. He's been diagnosed with Parvovirus. He's up to date on all of his shots as well as our other two babies. We're not sure where it came from as the vet advised us that Parvo can live in soil for up to two years. We have bleached our entire yard and our whole house to get rid of it and the other two dogs tested negative. His favorite toy is his rope. Tug of war with his siblings is one of his favorite things to do. You should see him when we go hiking and we let him off his leash. He's so well behaved but likes to explore everything he sees. He's very curious. He loves people and lives for all the pets he can get. It's hard to resist his loving nature and you feel like you just have to love on him.
Rosiland
Rosiland is a three-year-old Yellow Labrador in Houston, TX, who needs $1,300 for hospitalization due to Distemper and other illnesses.

Rosiland is fighting for her life in a Houston, Texas emergency hospital. About ten days after Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption saved the yellow Lab mix from a shelter, she spiked a high fever, came down with a horrendous respiratory infection, and her skin turned scarlet red. The rescue raced her to BluePearl Pet Hospital, where the medical team ran several tests. Everyone was shocked at the results! Poor Rosiland had distemper, the dog flu, mycoplasma, and adenovirus. She was clobbered with so many illnesses she could barely move. Lucky Lab is ready to take on tough medical cases, but they can only do it with wonderful donors and supporters who donate to help the dogs they save. And Rosiland really needs assistance! "We are so thankful to have Waggle as a rescue partner. We feel like the organization is part of the team," the rescue says. "She is the sweetest girl. When we saved her, we were told she was adorable and beautiful, and she was true to her description. When she got so ill, we were just heartbroken. Everyone works so hard in the rescue to save dogs, and to have one get severely sick on death's door is so devastating. She is friendly and kind." Please help Rosiland battle for her life!
MOJO
Mojo is a one-year-old Pit Bull in Simi Valley, CA, who needs $1,688 for leg surgery.

Mojo was struck by a car, the driver took off and left her to die. She was so severely injured she could not move. Then a good Samaritan saw the dog on the side of the road, stopped, picked her up, and brought her to a shelter. "We were heartbroken when we heard about her," Mark R., the founder of Southern California Pit Bull Rescue, tells Waggle. His nonprofit organization raced to Mojo's rescue after the shelter made a post saying the dog's injuries were too severe for them to handle. "My rescue fixes dogs like this. This is what we do. No dog is too challenging for us. We are the voice for the voiceless," he says. Once Mark got Mojo to VSEC, Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center Of Thousand Oaks, even he was surprised at the extent of her injuries. "I had no idea how severe she was," he says. Mojo's leg was broken in two places, her hip was dislocated, and her ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) on her knee was torn on another leg. She needed emergency surgery. Then Mark brought Mojo home where he and his wife, Liz R., cared for her. "I had to walk her with a sling to get her to go out to go to the bathroom. My wife had to hold her by her leash," Mark says. Mojo was weak from everything she had been through. "We had to hand feed her. She was so dejected she would not eat or drink," Liz says. "I had to take water and squirt it in her mouth. She had been laying in the shelter for five days. She laid there until she was almost dead." The beautiful dog with gorgeous hazel eyes needed more surgeries to fix her legs. Her medical bills topped $14,000. Now Mojo is doing very well, but the rescue is still trying to pay off her tab. They say seeing Mojo walk again and not be in pain is priceless, "Pit bulls are amazing," Mark says. "She is such a resilient dog. You would have never known she had surgery." Mark wants to thank anyone who can give to Mojo's campaign; paying off her medical bills helps the rescue save more pups in the future just like her, "We depend on people who are generous and tenderhearted to be able to help the animals who need us."

Junior was meant for me. She was born 9/07/2008 to a girl i worked with whose cats were always having kittens. i already had 3 beloved cats but when she asked me if i wanted a kitten, something told me to say yes. When i went to choose a kitten, Junior came right up to me, started climbing me and purring. She was telling me she was mine and i was hers, and ever since we've had an incredible bond. Junior is so precious to our family especially to me. I love her so much as do all who meet her because she is so sweet and loving. Shes always on my lap or on my back and she sleeps in my bed. She loves to give head butts thats how she says "I love you." She is always spreading love-to our other 2 cats,to me and my roommate, to our friends. Shes famous for having the softest fur of all cats. Ive had health problems for the past year or so but it recently got to where i cantwork anymore so no more unemployment but soc.sec. takes a long time so i have no income. Darling Junior is suffering and must have these teeth pulled and it kills me that i cant pay. I NEEDHER In 2017 my orange cat was having bad breath and other mouth symptoms and ended up having stomatitis and had all his teeth pulled and a year later Junior got the same thing. She had most of her teeth pulled in 2018 but had about 4 left, and now it has come back affecting those teeth. She has trouble eating,has lost over 2 lbs,our vet said we need to pull them. i dont have pet insurance this time. When she was a kitten i taught her to walk on a leash and she loves that. She loves to be combed and brushed and groomed. She always comes when i call. Shes such an incredibly GOOD kitty, always uses her litter box properly and scratches where she should. When she wants attention she will take a paw and tap or gently scratch my arm and she talks(meows) when shes trying to tell me something,.
