Troy
Troy is a 11-year-old Pit Bull Mix in New Britain , CT, who needs $2,000 for Mass Excision.

In 2017 I rescued Troy from a shelter where he had need there for 783 days. The day I met him he became my world and I have spent every day since showing him how special and loved he is. Troy lives with myself and my two children. My children adore him and nothing makes them happier than walking in the door and seeing Troys stub wagging like crazy. Troy has truly made our house a home. Troy is the king of the castle. Troy sleeps every night in my bed covered in his soft blankets. Troy loves cuddling on the couch with his brother and sister and watching movies. He loves playing tug o war with his brother and basking outside in the sun. Troy just loves having people around him knowing that he is safe and loved. I had to change positions at my job due to my own health condition and lost all my overtime. Expenses became more with Covid. Troy saved me, he is my world. He means everything to me and I can’t imagine my life without him. He saved me please help me save him. Troy was suffering from a stomach bug. I brought him to our vet. Dr. Dupre at Manchester Veterinary Clinic. While there I asked her to look at a larger mass I found on his neck. Dr. Dupre immediately got me onto Dr. Okeefe at New English Veterinary Center and Cancer Care. After an exam, xrays, ultrasound and Ct Scan Troy was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. I have never seen a dog that doesn’t wanna take a bath but will eat at the water as it comes out of the shower. Every morning Troy barks at the shower as he wants me to turn it on so he can eat the water. He won’t stop barking till I do this it is beyond adorable. Troy does this hoping prance walk when he has to go to the bathroom. He has so many quirky characteristics.
Gypsy Gal (GG)

GG came into my life 11 years ago! She was an energetic lovely little girl who has always been excited to run on the beach and chase birds! I got her when I was attending classes in Seattle WA. My dear girl Gypsy Gal (GG) is an English Setter. I grew up with English Setter’s and have a special relationship with them which holds special connection with my Dad who passed away several years ago. GG is my heart and has been my own ’therapy’ girl/dog for 11 years. She has always been in excellent health and has been with me through thick and thin. My own story involves being diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2017 - where I went through extensive treatment, and now and doing well but continue to be monitored closely. We both have been there through so much together. My husband lost his job due to Covid, and has not yet been able to return to work. I’m on disability given chemo/cancer treatments etc. We are in debt for the past treatments (surgery, CT scans, biopsies, bloodwork, etc.) GG is otherwise very healthy, and deserves life! GG was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth last July time frame during a dental cleaning check up. She was referred to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists where the Dr.’s evaluated her and recommended various options for treatment. Surgery was performed (we thought successfully and margins clear), however her SCC has now returned and radiation treatment is now being recommended. GG is the most special sweet girl in the world. I know we all feel that about our fur babies! She is afraid of thunder and will suddenly and often unexpectedly surprise me by jumping up into my lap (she is NOT a lap sized dog!) when a storm is brewing! She is very submissive but sneaks up on the bed when her Daddy is not at home! She loves to sleep on 'soft' cushy places in our home!
Bao
Bao is a 1-year-old Medium Haired Rescue Kitten in Arlington, VA, who needs $433 for Lilly Poisoning.

Bao was adopted from a family with four kittens and a mom and dad cat. He was going to be surrendered to a shelter. I decided to get Bao as an ESA and he has be amazing. He's a loving and playful cat, who loves to curl up on your chest. I currently work as an ABA Therapist and cannot afford his newest vet bill. He got hold of a Lily and ingested some of it:(. This is highly poisonous. Bao is my only pet and he is absolutely spoiled with attention. He loves kids and also adults. He's playful with dogs and other cats. He really does see the best in everything and everyone. He is affection always, regardless of who he's meeting. He runs to the door when he hears me get off the elevator everyday:) I currently do not make a large salary and have had to take days off work from depression and severe mental health issues. I make enough to pay rent, eat, and pay his yearly checkups. This event was not expected and I cannot afford the high cost. Bao is my ESA:/ Bao is overall a very healthy cat, however, he was being watched at a friends home and they were in possession of Lillies. He was curious about them and ingested some of the toxic flower. Bao is now at risk for kidney failure because of the flower:(. He has been treated at Friendship Animal Hospital in DC. Bao is what his vet would call a "good kitty". He never complains and is always in a good mood. His favorite activities include morning snuggles and chasing you down the hallway. He loves playing with kids and is always so kind to them. He also gives me a lot of love when I struggle with my depression and anxiety.

I adopted Priscilla back in 2014 from a family that rescued her from a neighbor that had been severely beating her. I have Crohn's Disease and was recommended by my doctor to get a small companion dog. Due to my health condition, I am on a fixed disability income. Priscilla is the love of my life. When I adopted her she was very nervous, but now we are 100% inseparable! Priscilla and I live alone in a studio apartment here in Dallas. Her absolute favorite activity is riding along with me in the car. She also loves going on long walks on the walking trails in our community. No matter where I go in our little apartment, she is always right next to me! Bedtime is a joy having her snuggle up next to me. I have been on social security disability income for about 3 years now. It has been very challenging to save up enough money every month after bills to pay for routine veterinary care. Priscilla has been a life saver for me. I need her here with me as long as possible. Priscilla has not been on heartworm or flea medication for several years now. A few months ago she had been vomiting for three days. I noticed parasites in her feces. The veterinarian said that she needs to be put back on Sentinel Spectrum in order to prevent fleas, heartworms, etc. This was a VERY scary time because I could not figure out why she was so sick. Priscilla is an absolute sweetheart. She is a lover - not a fighter! She aims high in her perceived needs to please me. I talk to her all the time (just as I would another human); she tilts her head in curiosity and lets me know that she is really focusing on my words... It's SO adorable! Whenever she senses that I am stressed, she likes to give kisses on my arm or cheek.

Hi my name is Tessa Rose "Tess" I live in Connecticut. I am the luckiest puppy in the world. I live with my Mom, Dad & Grandma. I have a big sister & brother that are in college in Vermont & I miss them so much when they are gone. When they come home I jump on them & give them lots & lots of kisses. My mom & dad drove 10 hours to get me from my 1st family in Ohio. They sure were excited. I have the best family, they get me the best toys to EAT, I mean play with. During the day I wait patiently for mom & dad to come home with my grandma. We have great conversations, I don't think she knows dog because she won't give me any people food or treats. When my dad comes home I get so excited I can't contain myself. He is MY person. I love my family but my dad is my favorite chew toy! When tough times & situations keep knocking us down we can only rely on the love & support of our families & friends. With Covid closing my part time job, Dave's astronomical medical bills rolling in & supporting an aging parent this emergency literally broke us. Thank you I was a naughty girl recently & got a potato off the table and it got stuck in my belly. I was really sick & made my family so scared. I needed surgery to get it out. Mom & dad cried A LOT worrying about me & how expensive the operation was. They didn't know what to do because they don't have that kind of $ laying around. I feel bad about it but I know they love me & would do anything for me. My mom says that I was meant to be with them because it healed a hole they had in their hearts left by a doggy named Charlie. The first time I licked my mom's face I knew she was healing. She cried a lot when I did that. One time my dad got really sick from Covid & I knew it was my job to protect him. I was very sad when he was in the hospital for 9 days. When he came home we snuggled a lot!!

Sweet and petite Tippy is a 10 week old lab/heeler mix who came to PAWS from Texas with his Mom and 3 siblings. They were taken in by a kind stranger after being picked up as strays. Tippy made the long journey from Texas to PAWS in Norwalk CT to find his forever home. He is a typical adorable puppy who needs a chance to lead a normal life with a loving family. Tippy is a calm and slightly shy puppy who enjoys play time, spending time with his siblings, and cuddle time with his friends. He couldn't be sweeter! He loves people and wiggles his whole body when happy. He loves to eat and has a little round belly to prove it! He will be someone's very loyal companion some day! PAWS is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the rescue and adoption of homeless and abused dogs and cats. Taking in the neediest animals comes with financial challenges. Tippy contracted parvovirus somewhere in his journey and being the smallest of the 4 puppies, he was least able to fight it off. He has required intensive treatment at a vet hospital and substantial supportive care. We are all rooting for little Tippy to make a full recovery and go on to be loved by a forever family. Tippy is a normal puppy - moving his whole hind area when wagging his tail. He is so happy to be with people. He is a love! He is very affectionate and loving, as are most puppies. He gives many puppy kisses and loves to sit on your lap. He can be silly and play with toys. He makes us all smile!

I had gone petless after my last dog was killed by a hit & run driver. My Granddaughter's little Pit was "tagged" by her neighbor's Chocolate Lab. She only had 2 pups & I fell in love with Blu as soon as I saw him. My Granddaughter couldn't keep him with a baby on the way. Blu came home with me when he was 8 weeks old & has been my constant companion. Blu is never far from me. He sleeps under my bed. He's a big boy so I had to get risers so he would fit. He loved to play fetch, splashing in his pool & going for rides. Blu lays in the sun watching me garden. I think he likes our kitchen the best. I've noticed when my BP goes up he's right by my side. I know I'm safe with Blu by my side. I'm retired and living on Social Security of about $800.00 a month & food stamps. After paying rent, car insurance & essentials, I'm pretty broke. Normal expenses I can handle. But thinking of Blu being in pain & can't play like he wants, hurts so much. I have to help him. As Blu got older I noticed he was walking stiff legged. One day, when he couldn't get up, we took him to SPCA Tampa Bay Vet. Center. Dr. R. Schiess had X-rays done. They sent me to Clearwater Animal Referral & Emergency. Dr. R. Hurt diagnosed Blu with TPLO in both knees. Blu is on pain meds, fish oil, glucosamine & chondroitin until I can get the money for his surgery. We don't get out much but he has made a couple of buddies on his walks. When we go to PetsMart he likes meeting new dogs. Blu likes to chase anything that is in the sky, birds, planes, fireworks, lighting. He likes to talk to the mail carrier, or anyone. HIs size scares people but he really is very friendly.
Bruno

Meet Bruno! He is my everything. He was a rescue before finding a forever home with me but honestly, he saved me not the other way around. At the start of covid Bruno had TPLO surgery (equivalent to torn ACL in human) sadly Bruno now needs the same surgery on the other leg and I need help. I’m still paying off the first surgery. Any help is appreciated immensely. Bruno steals the bed always, he loves to cuddle. He enjoys swimming, hiking, playing with other furry friends ( we can’t do any of those at the moment due to his injury) his favorite toys are cardboard boxes as silly as that sounds. He loves little humans, if he hears a child’s voice he is overly ready for all the kisses. He is my baby and is such a good boy! I lost hours due to covid. I am still struggling to pay off the first surgery and credit cards. Bruno brightens my day, I can’t imagine not having him or him being in pain. I’m not the type to ask for help but I need it for his sake. The first tplo surgery was last year right amongst covid crazy. We spent two weeks on my pullout mattress on the floor, it honestly broke my heart. We now need to have surgery done on the other leg in order for him to get back to a normal life. My vet does not perform this surgery so we will go to Las Vegas veterinary specialty center Bruno loves to talk, he is extremely vocal! If he is ready for bed before me he just stares and whimpers until I give in and retreat to the bedroom. He blows bubbles in his water if I tell him to get it, convinced I can teach him to be fisherman. Before the injuries we would often go to the lake, he will swim all day if I let him.

Angel is only Eight years old. She is a short haired Domestic Tiger cat. In 2010 my Mom passed away of cancer. About the same time we adopted Angel. She came into our life as a blessing. I had become very depressed for a long time she got me through some tough times. Since the Veterinarian recognized she had a tooth problem. She hasn’t been her usual self. Her favorite hobbies is eating and sleeping watching television. She plays for a few hours a day and loves to flirt. She loves watching Television. She has many favorite shows like Too Cute, The Cat from Hell to name a few. Angel is the first pet we ever owned. That’s a little about her. I wanted to thanks my many Facebook friends.
