Tia Willow

Tia Willow joined my life October 2014 at the age of 10 weeks. I adopted her from a local Humane Society. She had a terrible ear infection and bronchitis within a few days of bringing her home; it was not known if she would survive the bronchitis. She is now 6 years of age. Our life together has been full of adventure and lots of embracing love. In 2017, I rescued another dog, Chester, at two years of age. Tia Willow and Chester are bonded as the best of friends. They love playing rough and even though Chester is larger than her, Tia Willow is the alpha in our household. She is so affectionate and helps keep the joy in my life. She is a beautiful dog who is keen to what my needs may be. Now she is in need. I live paycheck to paycheck and do not have the funds, or means, to pay for her surgery. I can pay up to $1,000 using a credit card. I don't have anything to sell to help cover the costs. I drive a 27 year old car that is only worth $500. Somehow (probably chasing squirrels in her backyard), Tia Willow partially tore her ACL in both rear legs. On August 12, 2020 I was given the bad news by Dr. Peale at Hayden Pet Medical Center that Tia Willow needed surgery for both her legs at a cost of $4000. She is limping on both legs; has difficulty squatting to pee and is, obviously, in pain. She is on Adequan and Carprofen for the pain. Tia Willow does not like fireworks or thunder. She hides underneath my bed when these noises interfere with her calm existence. I lay down on the floor, by the bed, to comfort her. After all, when I get scared or sad, she is always around to comfort me. When I cry, she is always trying to lick my tears while wagging her tail to let me know: all is okay.
Lemon

Poor Lemon and her family got hit with a one-two punch. First, Lemon's human mom, Jana V., lost her job due to the pandemic. Then she learned Lemon, who is only a year old, has cancer. "Lemon was diagnosed with malignant melanoma when a biopsy was sent out for a tumor that the vets thought was a simple skin tag," Jana tells Waggle. There is a treatment for this kind of cancer, but it's a cost Jana can't afford without a paycheck. Lemon's cancer team at Coral Springs Animal Hospital started her on a regimen of melanoma vaccinations. Then in six weeks, her veterinarian will run blood tests, take X-rays, and aspirate the site again to see if the cancer is still there. Jana appreciates all the assistance she can get to help Lemon with her unexpected diagnosis. "Her life expectancy was cut by years, and I would be forever grateful for more time with my beautiful pup," she says. Lemon's family is hopeful the treatment will work, and she will be back to being her ole self. "She spends most of her time with me but is equally happy when my boyfriend comes home from work and loves on her. We thought she might be too big for the bed, but she makes herself fit JUST FINE. She was the perfect fit for our family, and I truly believe she mends us all together." Jana adds. The beautiful white dog means so much to Jana and her family. "I've had little Lemon since she was three months old, my cousin's German Shepard had puppies and offered me one," Jana says. "She is my only animal not rescued, but I like to think she rescued us. She loves all humans and animals she comes in contact with."
Red Nguyen

I found Red at a puppy mill in Texas called Petland Frisco and through asking the employees there, Red's sister was sold earlier before I came to the store and he was the only one that's left. He is my first ever puppy and he's been with me ever since he was 3 months old. We're inseparable! After taking Red to his first vet visit, I found out that he has a congenital patellar luxation in both of his back legs. It is a grade IV type which requires corrective surgery for both legs or else it would lead to arthritis.

Lucky is a 15-year-old Mix breed in Puyallup, WA who needs $5,000 for partial pancreatectomy and splenectomy surgery, to remove the portion of the pancreas and the spleen.

Lucky is a wonderful boy who had a rough start in life. His original owners took Lucky and his two siblings, all young puppies, and put them in a sack. They proceeded to drive down the road and threw the bag with the puppies out the window into the ditch. Fortunately for Lucky and his brother and sister, the people driving behind this vehicle, saw that and thought that did not look right. They stopped and pulled the bag out of the ditch and saved three precious lives that night. The pups saw a vet the next day and were proclaimed healthy, before two were adopted by other family members. The kind people who saw the incident and rescued the pups kept one puppy and named him Lucky, because it was lucky that they had been there at the right time to save him. When Lucky was about 4 months old the family realized, that as much as they loved Lucky, they couldn't keep him. That is when Lucky came to live with me. He was soft and fuzzy and full of a quirky personality. I was elated to give him his forever home. Even though he is small, Lucky has always been a big part of my life. Lucky sticks with me like glue. Keeping me company and 'helping' me when I'm doing my chores, and curling up on the bed at night. He keeps me laughing with some of the silly things he does. He loves it in the summer when we go "camping", here on the farm. Sometimes he will even put himself to bed in the tent. He spent the day at the vet, getting a CT, yesterday. When I got home yesterday, I tried to open the door for him, even though he was still at the vet. Lucky is so much a part of my life. I love this little man and would be lost without him.
Guinness
Guinness is a 9-year-old Labrador in Buda, TX, who needs $2,690 for chemotherapy to fight cancer.

For those of you that don’t know Guinness, he is the goofiest, happy go lucky labrador that was rescued from euthanasia at the young age of 4 months. He was an owner surrender because he had parvo. Well there was no way i couldn’t give him a fighting chance! He survived Parvo as a puppy, and has been the light of my life ever since. He brightens up every room, trail, and dog park. The staff at the veterinarian’s office and doggie day care love this boy! You can’t help but not! Guinness has been my rock especially since his sister lab passed away. She was my therapy dog and even though Guinness isn’t registered, he filled her paw prints the beat way he knew how to. He has been there for me through so many life changes; moves, breakups, job changes, the violent passing of his sister who was misdiagnosed ( long story) I didn’t have the chance to help her, but I have the chance to do so with Guinness!!!! Please help us give him a longer life. Any and all help is very much appreciated more than you will ever know.

She has a fracture through her hip joint that requires immediate surgery. Lizzie’s owner was unable to pay for care and subsequently abandoned her. After five days the owner finally agreed to relinquish Lizzie so she can get the care she desperately needs. Please help fund Lizzie’s surgery so she can live a long and happy life.
