Lil girl dog was rescued August 2010..she is the most docile demanding baby but her personality is infectious... lgd was on a truck for 12 years and has been to 48 states numerous times..she loved the truck life and was a great truck dog but she is staying home in retirement and has fallen ill..I am begging for help to save my baby's life Lgd is suspected of diabetes but the tests to confirm and get on a maintenance plan are among several other ailments that have come up..she has cataracts causing her eyesight to be almost 0..she has tumors on her chest..her sides..and neck but like the diabetes test they want tests to confirm and find maintenance plan.. treatment plan or end of life care. Lgd is our child she is not just a dog..she is feisty..she loves to dig in the bed and knock all covers and pillows off bed..she is docile but demanding..she is relentless when she wants something...you automatically get sucked in to loving her Lost my son to IV m3th use...it put me into major depressive disorder... PTSD from the loss and grief counseling...among physical illnesses such as BP thru the roof and rheumatoid arthritis..lgd helped me survive losing David...she deserves me helping her to survive

At just 6 weeks old, little Mac was found as a stray. He was brought into a local ER by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. They had been syringe-feeding him, trying to keep him alive, but when Mac began vomiting and became unresponsive, they knew he needed urgent help. After numerous tests and x-rays, the vet team determined Mac’s condition wasn’t life-threatening but found foreign material in his intestines—likely from eating something he shouldn’t have while trying to survive on the streets. Mac was hospitalized overnight, and thanks to the dedicated care of the ER staff, he pulled through. Mac is on the road to recovery, and he is showing to be playful and loving like a kitten should be, but his recovery journey isn’t quite over yet. His ER visit resulted in a $2,200 bill, and he will need additional vetting before he’s ready for adoption. Mac deserves a fresh start and a life filled with love and safety, but we can’t do it without your help. Malina is an 8-year-old furry fighter who has been with me through thick and thin. Recently, she suffered a suspected stroke, leaving her unable to walk. Malina’s life began as a miracle, she was a one-week-old rescue. Malina blossomed into a gentle loving curious kitten. When I first met Malina at one month old, she kissed my hand, and my heart was hers forever. In 2019, Malina had a sudden paralysis in her back legs. Extensive testing at AMC in NYC ruled out major issues. Her heart and spine were clear. She recovered. In November 2024, she was hospitalized in ICU at AMC. The stroke, UTI were confirmed. She is now recovering. Doctors have given a hopeful prognosis, but recovery is long and costly. She must have specialist care and diagnostics to fully recover and prevent future strokes. I incurred $9,693 in expenses and $2000-$2400 expected for specialist care in cardiology (echocardiogram $918, exam $375, blood test $350, neurology $375, urine test $400). Insurance provider Trupanion denied all claims, labeling her condition as pre-existing. I am currently unemployed after a layoff. I am looking, but this has been tough. Malina is my family, my baby, my heart. I’m doing everything I can to help her, but I can’t do it alone.

1-Month-Old Mayhem Needs Help to Repair Life-Threatening Birth Defect

Kenzie's Kitten Rescue Chaos came to Kenzie's Kitten Rescue as a fragile, struggling 2-week-old kitten, unable to latch onto his bottle and gasping for air. After a thorough examination, our vets discovered that Chaos suffers from Pectus Excavatum, a serious congenital deformity where the ribs and sternum are malformed, compressing the heart and lungs. This makes breathing, eating, and even growing nearly impossible. Just one week later, our vet contacted us again—this time about another kitten in desperate need of help. Mayhem (May, for short) was dropped off at the clinic, and like Chaos, she too was diagnosed with Pectus Excavatum. These two kittens, though tiny, are fighters. Thanks to the round-the-clock critical care we've been able to provide, both Chaos and May have been holding on, but their future is unknown. In the next 4–5 weeks, both Chaos and May will require life-saving surgery to correct their deformed sternums. This surgery is not just important—it is absolutely vital. Without it, their compressed lungs and hearts will continue to suffer, leaving them with no chance at a healthy life. As symptomatic kittens, they are already struggling to breathe, and without this surgery, they will never have the chance to grow up. We are fortunate to have found a compassionate and skilled surgeon willing to help these babies, but we cannot do this without your support. Update 11/21/24 Chaos' condition delayed his development significantly. He struggled to put on weight, despite best efforts. He would occasionally struggle to breathe- and would be placed on oxygen for a significant period of time. Most of Chaos’s time outside of his oxygen bubble was supervised walks around the wonky room, and snuggle time w his sister, May. Chaos’s little body just couldn’t handle the pressure anymore. I knew it was a risk I was taking- giving such a critical kitten, with a life threatening medical condition a chance. Chaos gained his wings today. He’ll always have a special place in our hearts at Kenzie' Kitten Rescue. Rest In Peace Chaos. Update 11/27/24 Mayhem is still fighting hard. The rule of thumb is if a kitten can make it to 8-12 weeks of age without any “serious” medical complications, they are a great candidate for a surgical correction. We are hopeful that Mayhem continues to stay strong so she can make it to this milestone and have a successful surgery.

Black Kitten is Abused on Halloween: Tail Degloved and Leg Broken

Saving Hope Rescue For many, Halloween is a time of fun and celebration. But for animals like Ash—a sweet, 5-month-old black kitten—it can be a time of unimaginable cruelty. Black cats face an alarming spike in abuse around Halloween, targeted because of harmful superstitions tied to their coloring. And sadly, Ash is one of those victims. Found just after Halloween, Ash’s tiny body bore the unmistakable marks of horrific human-inflicted abuse. One of his legs were broken, his fur was torn off in multiple areas, and his tail was degloved—a brutal injury where the skin is ripped away, exposing raw nerves and bone. Which, in turn, became riddled with maggots and raging infections. Saving Hope Animal Rescue acted swiftly, getting Ash the life-saving care he needed. To date, he's already undergone X-rays, blood work, wound care, and multiple rounds of medication to manage his pain and fight infection. But sadly, emergency surgery was required to amputate his tail and close the worst of his injuries. Today, this sweet boy remains at the vet, steadily recovering from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted on him. And despite the immense pain, Ash’s gentle spirit continues to shine through – looking to his rescuers with eyes full of love and hope. But his road to recovery is far from over. Ash’s medical bills are mounting steadily, and he still needs extensive care before he's ready to begin his next chapter in a safe and loving foster home. At just 3 months old and weighing slightly over 1 pound, this tiny orange kitten named Quesorito was found abandoned, with his fragile leg left in a rotting cast and an upper respiratory infection making it incredibly hard for him to breathe. When Quesorito arrived at the shelter, they were heartbroken. His leg had a horrible stench to it, as his skin had begun to break down and become infected underneath the tight cast. Unfortunately, the shelter did not have the resources to help this tiny kitten, so he was marked as “rescue only” and put on the euthanasia list. With just 45 minutes left to spare, he was tagged by Saving Hope Animal Rescue. Quesorito had to be sedated to carefully remove the cast, revealing an untreated break in his leg. Thankfully, the damage could be fixed, and he's already started his road to recovery. He’s now on pain medication, antibiotics, and eye drops to address his infections. He will need a weekly resplint as he grows. This brave little kitten is also on strict cage rest for the next few weeks to ensure his leg heals properly. Quesorito's caretakers speak of his sweet nature and how he's already showing signs of improvement. Rescue Kitties of Hawaii works passionately on Molokai island every single day, rescuing cats and kittens in dire need of help and urgent medical care. Stray cats who are sick, injured, abused, poisoned, used as live bait in dog fighting, etc. rely on RKH as their only source of care, as there are absolutely no shelters on the island. Being on a small island with limited resources, the rescue's funds are continuously depleted, and the rescue cannot keep up with the overwhelming demand to save all the Hawaiian kitties. This is why their TNRM program- Trap, Neuter, Return and Manage, is vital to help manage the ongoing overpopulation on the island. This is the most humane way to control a stray cat population, letting cats that cannot adapt to indoor/ family life live their best life. Those that can adapt to indoor life, are adopted by loving families. Inkjet, for example, is a special case Rescue Kitties of Hawaii have been pouring their hearts into helping recently. The only survivor of his litter, Inkjet, was rescued in critical condition, a tiny fighter who refused to give up. He is completely deaf, struggles with painful mouth ulcers and chronic infections, and remains small for his age. He has overcome so much, but now he faces his biggest battle yet. He has a heart murmur that is worsening, and he has started coughing—a terrifying sign that something is very wrong. The possibilities are grim: congestive heart failure, asthma, or a severe lung infection. Any of these could be life-threatening without immediate intervention. He needs an echocardiogram and chest X-ray to diagnose what’s happening inside his little body. Inkjet is currently on the island of Molokai- a very small Hawaiian island that does not have any vets, or humane euthanasia options. This is why Inkjet must fly to his amazing doctors in Oahu, who are ready to help. Without this care, he could become critical, and his caretakers would have to watch him suffer with no resources to help. I adopted Koda 12 years ago from a PetSmart adoption event when he was a foster kitten. I really wanted to to get his sister as well but due to an issue with ear mites and having an accident right after bringing him home, I wasn't allowed that by my mom. He's my best friend and a father figure to many of my own fosters, and deeply bonded with my other cat Cho. I just want to help him so much. Koda has a severe ear infection with mites that I've been trying to treat for a year. I've taken him to emergency care when it got bad causing vertigo and his left eye to shut. I've done everything I can, even while working, but affording treatment has been hard. I knew it was a problem, but I didn't know about the mites until keeping his ear clean became difficult and I found a vet I could afford Koda is my shadow, my little troublemaker, and my best friend. He's talkative, mischievous, and acts more like a dog-he loves car rides, walks and food (even if he won't eat it). He fusses when I'm gone too long and isn't afraid of anything except me not being here. He's lost his spark from being so sick, but with care, he lights up again like the kitten he once was. I lost my job in October 2024 and have been struggling to cover basic needs. I've gotten some help locally to keep food for the cats, but the vet care for Koda has been difficult even with a low-income clinic. His healh has been declining and I just want him to be okay.

My little boy megatron or "kitty" was bought off a friend. He barely turned 1 this month! He is a black cat with white tufts inside his ears and a little bit of white on his belly, he loves playing, sometimes he's a bit too friendly with the outside strays and gets bullied by them, hence the eye in his little tie picture My kitty needs to be neutered because I don't want other little kitties hanging around here, as well as his vaccinations! He luckily hasn't gotten sick yet, but since he likes to go outside I don't want to risk the chances My kitty is a talker, he loves saying "mama" and still suckles on my ear at 1 years old! He's just a baby, he's so nice too, he loves everyone and everything! I honestly just need enough money to get him neutered and basic vaccines, I'm not asking for much, and I also need to get medicine for his little eye so he can comfortably open.
