Sydney
Sydney is a 12 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,188 for Dental Surgery and Extraction of Rotting Teeth.

Confiscated as part of an abuse/neglect case, Sydney found herself at a shelter where she was attacked by another dog. Thankfully, HERO Hound Rescue pulled her from the shelter and many compassionate volunteer drivers formed a transport, allowing her to travel comfortably to our sanctuary. She quickly settled as she started on her healing journey. Sydney suffered from malnutrition and an infestation of parasites. Her ears were heavily infected and she’s deaf. Her right eye has epithelial corneal dystrophy, both eyes have cataracts, and she’s going blind. Most troubling are her rotting teeth and she requires dental surgery to relieve the pain and quell the oral infection. Madison Vet Hospital is treating Sydney for all her medial issues. Surprisingly sweet and gentle in spite of all that she’s suffered, Sydney gives new meaning to the word “LOVE.” This tenderhearted survivor not only loves following us around, she also loves being held and cuddled. Determined not to let her abusive past affect her future Sydney is a role model for her caretakers as she spreads her warmth to everyone she meets. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and lifetime medical care for special needs animals and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Manny
Manny is a 12 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $932 for X-Rays and Surgery.

Manny was adopted by wonderful adopters many years ago, but returned to us due to a death in the family. We welcomed Manny with open arms and he reunited with many greyhound friends here at the sanctuary. Manny is 12.5 years old and has been increasingly unsteady on his feet. He took a tumble and needs x-rays to help diagnose his condition and surgery to repair a wound. Madison Vet Hospital has been treating Manny since his arrival at the sanctuary. Manny's sweet gentle nature brings daily smiles to his caretakers. Although he is very old, he greets everyday with joy. He is a role model to us all and we love him dearly. We are a registered, nonprofit animal rescue that specializes in providing lifetime care to senior and special needs animals. We rely on donations to pay for medical bills and need to raise funds to help with Manny's medical needs.
Lydia
Lydia is a 1 year old Great Dane in Huntington, WV, who needs $1,000 for spay, vaccines, flea treatment.

* One by One Animal Advocate * Meet Lydia, a sweet and loving dog who just wants to feel safe and loved. She hasn't had vet care, but her great temperament shines through every day. Unfortunately, Lydia's mom is struggling with drug use and needs help. It has made it hard for her to take care of Lydia the way she deserves. In Huntington, West Virginia, our community is fighting a tough battle against addiction. It’s heartbreaking to see how this crisis has touched the lives of so many, including sweet Lydia. She’s facing a difficult time because her mom is ready to get help and enter a 30-day rehab program. But this means that Lydia needs a new place to call home—at least for now. She loves her dog more than anything, but she can't take care of her right now. That’s where we come in at One by One Animal Advocates. We want to give them both a chance at a brighter future. We’re arranging for Lydia's to be boarded for 30-days safely while her mom gets the support she needs. While staying with us, we'll make sure she receives all the care she deserves. Our plan includes full vet check-ups, spaying, and getting her food, flea prevention, and vaccines. But we need your help!
Stormy
Stormy is a 12 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $90 for Follow Up Testing for Cushing's and Heart Disease.

Abandoned by her owner, Stormy was left to wander aimlessly. Finally, someone called the shelter, and Stormy was brought in as a stray. Her condition was dire and her huge, distended abdomen puzzled the shelter vet. At that point, she was transferred to our sanctuary. After many tests, Stormy was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, a heart condition, proteinuria and severe dental disease. Stormy has been in our care for 14 months and requires regular testing of the medication levels in her system as well as thorough exams for her heart and other conditions and a panel of lab tests during a hospital stay. Madison Vet Hospital has been treating Stormy since her arrival at the sanctuary. It's time to have Stormy tested again. Despite all that Stormy has endured, she is the sweetest beagle who is determined not to let her serious health issues get her down. With a hearty appetite, Stormy lets us know when she's hungry and when she has to go outside. She's mellow and friendly with all the other dogs here and loves to snuggle with her caretakers, too. Stormy has the most endearing facial expressions and makes us smile. We are a non-profit animal sanctuary that provides high quality, lifetime care for severely ill animals, like Stormy, that have no other options. Mr. Smitten
Mr. Smitten is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Karachi, Pakistan, who needs $600 for Ear Injury

ACF Animal Rescue Mr. Smitten was found at the front gate of ACF Animal Rescue in Pakistan. He was most likely dropped off by a Good Samaritan who found him in absolutely tragic shape. Unfortunately, this is not a rare occurrence for the rescue. Mr. Smitten was in a horrific state, his body in absolute shock. He had a huge deep gash on his ear, or what was left of it. Because of how severe the damage was, he will ultimately lose his ear. He was severely dehydrated and had a very high fever, most likely from an infection. It is unknown who or what caused this aggressive injury to Mr. Smitten. What is just amazing though, is that, despite his horrors, once Mr. Smitten had time to decompress, he is an absolute lover. He just wants to melt into your hands as you love on him as you can see in his photos. He knows he is safe now. ACF Animal Rescue is taking wonderful care of Mr. Smitten as he begins to heal. Stitch
Stitch is a 3 month old Chihuahua in Oakland, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Parvovirus.

* Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge and A Pathway to Hope * Abandoned puppy with parvo rushed to hospital with a prolapsed rectum. At just 1.8 kg, this helpless puppy was dumped at a vets office in Paterson with the deadly parvovirus - so severe that part of his intestines came out his rectum. He is suffering from severe diarrhea and a painfully prolapsed anus. We quickly mobilized, partnering with animal control and our friends at the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge to save this pup, who we named Stitch after his resemblance to the Disney character. We hold onto hope that Stitch will overcome parvo and emerge healed. While his little tush is shocking to see, the worst battle for Stitch is against parvo, which is a potentially fatal disease that cruelly attacks the gastrointestinal system of dogs. 9/24- Stitch Update: From abandoned to beloved. We are excited to share that our adorable little Frenchie / Chihuahua Stitch is healed and thriving in his foster home! After being abandoned outside a veterinarian’s office, suffering from parvo and a prolapsed rectum, Stitch found comfort, medical care and love in the hearts of RBARI and A Pathway to Hope. Stitch has stolen the hearts of his foster family during his recovery. He is a bundle of joy, known for his playful antics and sweet personality. He loves snuggles as much as he enjoys romping about in the backyard. Stitch’s beautiful spirit brightens every day!
Rey
Rey is a 8 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Frederick, MD, who needs $2,000 for Wound Care.

Rey came to us as a puppy, she was found by a rescue invite south, tied to tree with a chain around her neck. She made her way north from a partner rescue. One reluctant day Ryan felt a tug at his heart to stop at an adoption event and she’s been family ever since. Yesterday we found Rey lifeless in the backyard. Tragically Rey suffered multiple bites from our other dog leading to significant tissue damage. She’s made it through surgery and the vets say her wounds and blood levels need constant attention. She’s currently at CARE vet ER, in Frederick, MD getting much needed monitored support and pain management. Rey has been our quiet comfort when we are home. She’s most happy just making herself into a donut in between your legs when we are sitting on the couch or in bed. Shes timid and shy, but leads our pack like a matriarch. She’s sweet and loves parks and playing catch with a good stick. We had no idea that one of our dogs could be capable of harming Rey. It took us as a shock since all three have been so loving together. None have shown the slightest showed aggression towards each other. It’s devastating to process that this happened.
Firefly
Firefly is a one-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten Oakland, NJ, who needs $1,200 for urgent surgery.

Someone found her close to death, hypothermic, anemic, and dehydrated. Her blood pressure and glucose levels dropped dangerously low, and she was suffering from a severe infection that led to the rupture of both eyes. She didn't even weigh one pound but was fighting to live! Our Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge team rushed her to an animal hospital. Now, we need your support to fight alongside tiny warriors like Firefly—she is a firecracker! Her spirit is incredible. She is vocal and sweet with her medical team and loves to eat. Firefly desperately wants to survive, and with your gift today, you can help grant that wish. She was suffering and alone. Percy
Percy is a six-month-old Chihuahua in Lutz, FL, who needs $2,000 for blood transfusions and emergency care.

During his greatest hour of need, Percy was surrendered to an animal hospital by his guardians. The staff reached out to us here at Animalluvr's Dream Rescue, hoping we could be Percy's saving grace. We believe we can make a difference in Percy's life with your support! Percy had an extremely rare reaction around his microchip implantation site and fluid accumulated in his delicate neck area. His pet parents brought him back to the veterinarian. They found he had severe anemia. Sadly, when the family heard this, they gave him up. Percy started to feel better after a blood transfusion, but then his bloodwork showed he wasn't improving as everyone hoped. Then, his wound formed an abscess. He needed a second blood transfusion, and he continues to require intensive care. We don't want anyone to be "down" about microchipping because microchips are a lifeline for reuniting dogs and cats with their families. This situation is not typical! But we do need your help raising the money for Percy's medical bills so he can one day find a new, loving family. Animalluvr's Dream will give him every chance at recovery. Please give to help Percy! Update 8/23/24: Percy continues to be a bit of a mystery case, but after a rough week of testing, transfusions, and medications, he is doing MUCH better. His recent pathology results suggested to continue with iron supplements and antibiotics, and we are hoping he will continue to improve! Update 8/31/24: Percy was rushed to the veterinary clinic after he started crashing at his foster's. His blood isn't clotting properly and his gums are extremely pale. Percy is getting a ton of testing done and we are hoping to get some answers soon! Update 9/1/24: Percy is still hospitalized, but he is bright and alert, eating and drinking, and overall in good spirits. He had an infusion last night and is now on fluids. We are still waiting on lab results that check for more rare diseases. Update 9/2/24: Percy was discharged last night! He still has hookworms despite being treated for them multiple times, so he has started a new medication since they seem to be resistant to what he's been on. However, the hookworm infection is secondary to what is causing most of his problems. Based on preliminary testing, the vets believe Percy has hemophilia. We should get more in-depth test results back until later this week. In the meantime, Percy is doing great and home and taking it easy. He is getting his puppy booster vaccine today while the plasma transfusion is still actively doing its job and once more stable, he will be neutered and receive infusions as needed to keep him stable. Update 9/11/24: Percy has officially been diagnosed with a severe clotting disorder — hemophilia type A. This is a genetic mutation, and there is no cure. Basically, Percy (and his future owners) will need to be extra careful throughout his life to prevent him from unnecessary bumps, bruises, scrapes, etc. Routine things like vaccinations and nail trims can be dangerous for him if not done properly and with extra care. He will need to be close to vets that can give him blood transfusions when needed. This sweet boy doesn’t know that his life may be a bit more difficult than other puppies, and he certainly hasn’t let his diagnosis keep him down! He is full of energy, very playful, and loves people. Percy will need an extra special home looking for an extra special pup to join their family.
