Sophie
Sophie is a 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier in Fair Oaks, CA, who needs $2,000 for Stitches.
Fair Oaks, CA
I came across my forever friend from a homeless lady she was only 6 weeks old when I got her, she was the most tiny fishiest puppy ever we instantly fell in love and I knew she was gonna be mine and my fiance forever companion, we moved around from place to place a lot until we found our forever home, we decided on the name Sophie, Why? Cause she reminded us of my fiancé dog he had before On last Sunday she had got into a altercation which another dog that had gotten out we had broke them free and we didn’t realize until Tuesday morning she had a 1/2 inch to a 1 inch gash on her in her right thigh, I had called many places and found one called all about pets, they can’t give me a full price so I would roughly say around $2000 for the whole procedure. Her bestie is her sister babygirl, they have been together ever since pups,Sophie is the rock of the family anytime anyone of us is sad shes always there for comfort even for her dog sister she’s is there,Sophie has a little brother that loves to play with her all day long he calls her “doo-doo” cause he can’t pronounce Sophie just yet, Sophie is the heart of our family just as much as her sister I’m currently only working out of me and my fiance and I pay all the financial to things,I’m on a very fix income on government assistance, I do what I can to get by for my family, trying to get the support will be amazing so Sophie can be healthy an happy with her family

Duncan
Duncan is a 6-year-old Tabby Cat in Citrus Heights, CA, who needs $1,180 for Teeth Extraction for Feline Resorptive Lesions.
Citrus Heights, CA
Duncan and his littermate Graham were adopted by their caregiver six years ago. Unfortunate circumstances have put their caregiver in a board and care situation since July 2021. Since I helped their caregiver adopt them I decided to take on their care now that their original caregiver can no longer care for them personally or financially. Duncan and his brother live with my cats and a dog (and goldfish). Duncan's a bit of a rabble-rouser in the house chasing around with the others. He's very affectionate and likes to sit on my chest and drool from happiness and give me lots of head bumps. When his carrier is out and open, he likes to quietly sit in it and have a rest from the household activities. Duncan likes to hang out with his littermate Graham, sleep under the covers, or snuggle into my bent legs during naptime. When it's snack time for wet food, Duncan puffs up his tail, squeaks and runs into the "wet food" room where he and his brother can share their daily snack like their original caregiver used to give him. Duncan needs surgery to remove his feline resorptive lesions which is where his gums are dissolving his teeth and the only cure is to take out all of the affected teeth. He's already had one surgery for it that cost $1,000 that I paid for. His second surgery will cost over $1,500 to extract his remaining teeth to stop the disease from spreading and causing additional surgeries. Since I have combined two cat households finances are stretched to the breaking point. The other cats have their needs that I pay for. I have a fixed income, I am a senior, which means that catastrophic expenses have to be met outside of the monthly budget.
