Bull

I have had Bull since he was a puppy. He was with me in college at Virginia Tech (I’d say he’s an honorary VT alumni). He now lives with myself, my husband, our cats, and our big dog Ruby. His best friend is our little gray tabby named Fritz. Bull acquired his name because out of the litter, he ended up being the biggest boy (and was a little chunky as a puppy). His favorite activity is snoozing. Bull is a very healthy 9 year old Jack/Rat Terrier mix. He needs emergency perineal hernia surgery. This surgery can fix the issue, and the vets explained they don’t really know what causes it and it is rare. If Bull didn’t receive the surgery, he would have to be euthanized, despite being healthy. He will be receiving the surgery at the Anicira Veterinary Center. Bull’s favorite activity is sleeping under a blanket. He has never been hyper, which is odd for his breed. He loves his cat brothers and barking at the mailman with our other dog, Ruby. While he does bark at strangers to let them know he could “get them” he can easily be bribed with treats. All of the vets that have ever seen him always talk about how sweet he is. Essentially, he is the best boy. I’m a teacher and my husband recently got a new job. While we have steady income, spending $2,000 is challenging. It wouldn’t be fiscally responsible to open credit with high interest. We also have to drive almost 3 hours for the surgery. I desperately want to help Bull!

My son's were 11 and 12 years old and wanted a puppy. We went to a local shelter and couldn't find them a fur baby that was a good fit. A few days later someone had unwanted puppy's and the puppy's weren't in a good safe situation so we decided to rescue him he was 3 weeks old when we got him and we have had him ever since Diesel got a small sore on his genital area and it would burst and leak out blood and infection then heal up and continue to come and do the same thing. This time it came back bigger and consistently drains blood and infection. We took him to Anicira and the surgery to remove the abscess is going to cost us more than what we can afford at this time Diesel has been our family fur baby for over 13 yrs now he has grown up with my children and now my 5 grandchildren are growing up in his life as he's growing older. He is a gentle giant he love's all the baby's and big kids too. He is a very well mannered loving animal. He has been a support dog to so many of us in so many ways and now it's heartbreaking that in his time of need we are struggli Had an unexpected death in the family two weeks ago that we weren't financially prepared for and my hiurs got cut at work so now my fur baby needs some medical attention and I am struggling. It breaks my heart because he is one of my kids. I'd love to have him be himself again.

Rocky came into our lives in 2022 by a friend, for my daughter who struggles with anxiety,and past trauma. Rocky is my 12 yr olds best friend, her absolute shadow. He has an amazing soul. Love all people, hes fighting so hard right now. Keeping an amazing spirit about it all. Rocky's wounds are quite severe, and there are two large ones on the chest that have extensive pockets underlying them.Unfortunately, the more superficial soft tissue underlying the skin in those pockets is now necrotic.Referral to a surgeon to extensively open and debride these tissues, and wound vacs to continuously drain any discharge.Staged procedures or hospitalization may end up being needed Rocky is a fanatic of tennis balls. He loves chew toys, squeaky, and even stuffed animals. He is a esa for my 12 yr old, their bond is absolutely amazing! Hes friendly to all people. Even while going through this, Rocky still wags his tail when he sees anyone 💙 rocky loves all animal's and loves to get the zoomies whenever outside to run through the grass. Due to my own chronic health issues, I'm facing financial hardship and can't cover it all alone. My health issues have deeply impacted my ability to work consistently. Just returned to work from a Loa. Care credit is maxed out related to his care for this incident as well.

Tuesday come into my life unexpectedly, when her and 6 litter mates were dumped off along the side of the road in a small cat carrier with no food or water, in 80+ degree weather left to suffocate and die. I am an experienced foster through my local SPCA and was tagged in the post about her and her litter mates being found as the person who did could not and was no in the situation to help them. When Tuesday come to me, she had an eye infection which I was treating with some erythromycin twice a day, and seemed to be helping. But while playing with the others, I believe she got scratched in her eye or done so herself which fully got worse in no time, a vet visit with a medical voucher and co-pay confirmed it ruptured and she needs an inoculation when she reaches 2 pounds and cost $700. Aside from Tuesday and her litter, I have 8 cats of my own and dog, which doesn't include the three I foster for my local SPCA! She is a beautiful soul and despite her pain and sensitivity to her eye, she doesn't let it stop her from playing or purring. She loves and thrives off interaction, having to keep her in a cage to protect her eye means she can't sleep with me or play with her litter. Not only was this unexpected, I'm a single mom of 4 kids, with one income. To have Tuesday's eye fixed means she could play and sleep with me again, my kids could play and love on her, her and her litter could reunite. She has a potential home, but her eye need fixed to go.

Kitty-kitty was originally just a TY beanie baby that my special needs son happened upon and fell in love with in 2016. We had no cats then. In 2017, my husband and I discussed maybe getting a cat but would mostly love to find just a similar cat to our sons TY beanie. Believe it or not Dec of 2017, a week before Christmas; my husband got a message from a coworker with a pic of her!! Kitty is 7 yrs old and we haven't had any issues medically until recently. She injured herself jumping onto the toilet while the lid was up. Slipped and fell, which cause joint fluid build up that was looked at in Aug. She also was diagnosed with peridontal disease and need 4-5 molars removed. With the lump on her joint, it was fine till two weeks ago (early Sept). Not it's inflamed and large! Kitty loves to seem like she is not happy with our dog, but she will get caught laying and cuddling with our dog Nova. Kitty is sweet and silly, she acts like such a queen. At 7 yrs old she still acts entirely "kitten" like. Chasing her tail, chasing the dog (playfully), rolling on the floor and attacking her tail around the leg of the table. But she is also the most calm and loving, cuddle bug! Kitty was initially my son's companion until we rescued a polydactyl black cat; and then Kitty became a mother figure to our Black cat Link, while Link bonded with our son. Unfortunately, Link had a heart event at 4 yrs old this past July 21, 2024. We love her dearly!

I rescued Jade I found her in a box along side of the road back in July and when I opened the box she was the only kitten in the box she was only 6 weeks old and I took jade home and got her bathed cause she was infested with fleas and one of her eyes was bulging out and had yellow drainage coming out from it I got it all cleaned up and put some medicine on it Jade will have to have eye removal surgery asap due to her being only 6 weeks old and she was not at the right weight at the time of the vet visit we had to wait to have the surgery done and jade is now at the weight needed for the surgery the name of the vet is Anicira. Jade has become part of our family since the day we found her and even with her eye she still plays with my other cats and jade is such a lovable little girl she is always purring and she sleeps with me and my husband and my other cats we would be so lost if something would happen to jade cause we love her just as much as our other cats. I am disabled and with limited income I just don’t have the funds for her surgery and it would mean so much to me and my family to help jade get her eye surgery and to be spayed so she can live a healthy and happy life with us and our other cats we fell in love with jade

Dozer 6 Years old I’ve had him since a puppy he’s been through a lot of stuff he just recently last year that diagnosed with IVVD and it’s been really hard he’s been on different medication and just recently he got into a fight with my other dog which is a pitbull and a messed up his back and his neck more than it was and now he needs surgery in time is an essence. His surgery runs from 4K to 5k. He is a very protective Dash hound he’s very protective of his owner he’s a one owner dog he is the most loyal he’s my world and I would do anything for him and it breaks my heart that I can’t do anything for him my credit is so messed up from repossessions that I can’t get a pray for care credit and I just don’t like begging for help but I don’t have a choice. I’m currently out of a job looking for a job since about a couple months ago I lost my job because of Covid and I’m still trying to get back on my feet in my car and it up taking a crap so I had to get a new engine so that was $2700 and then this happened. To get me the help and information that I needed to get him the help that he needed it means the world He’s my comfort animal he’s been there with me through everything through abusive relationship he’s my rock and I don’t know how they without them and it breaks my heart that he’s in pain I just don’t want him suffering he’s been my main companion and rider since I got him when he was just a little puppy

I got Bear from one of my mothers clients who has passed away. Bear was her life and she wanted to make sure that he went to a good home. Bear has been a part of my family for two years now. He is best friends with my other Shih Tzu, Buffy she is 15. Within the first six months of having bear he was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. He has been responding well to the treatment for Cushing’s. Bear has a favorite blanket that he loves to sleep with at night. He won’t go to sleep without it near him. Bear will follow me wherever I go he is my shadow. Bear loves to meet new people wherever he goes he is always excited with his tail wagging and loves a good scratch behind the ears. He is very quite but when he barks he has the most distinctive bark. Due to Bear’s past medical treatments and ongoing with Cushing’s disease. I have used up emergency pet funds for my fur babies. Bear means a lot to me and I want to see him be healthy again because he is such a blessing to me. Bear has a mass on his right front leg. After doing a biopsy on the mass the doctor noted that there are cancer cells in the mass.The veterinarian said that the best choice of action is to surgically remove the mass of his leg. Anicira veterinarian center in Harrisonburg, Virginia is doing his surgery on December 10 he’s treating veterinarian is Dr. Laura Kivlighan. Bear loves his treats especially his lamb sausages. When he gets his lamb sausage treat he will walk away like he is king of the world. He loves his squeaky dragon that he got when he came to live with me. He always has a sad look on his face but that is do to his underbite. He love to take naps in bed with me. When I get home from work he is always at the door with his tail wagging.
