Gunner

Gunner is a 12 year old Boxer in Trenton, MO, who needs $600 for Removal of Teeth and a Growth Under Anesthesia.

Trenton, MO

Gunner came into our lives as a puppy. He was the last of the litter and we immediately knew he was very special. He seemed so happy to be coming home with us. He gave us so many kisses and immediately laid down in my lap and went to sleep on the car ride home. He loves babies, human, puppy, kittens. He's helped nurture so many babies in his life already. He's the sweetest boy you ever will meet. Gunner was taken to the vet for a growth on his nipple. We were concerned as boxers are prone to cancer. But, the vet at Animal Kingdom alerted us to the condition of his teeth which we were unaware of. He has at least five teeth that need to come out in addition to the removal of the growth. Requiring anesthesia. This also requires blood work to make sure at his age he can survive the anesthesia. Gunner is such a happy boy. He always wants to give you kisses. He likes to talk when we're trying to have a conversation. We have five cats in our house and he is so gentle with them. One female in particular is his cat she followed him around and likes to sleep with him. He loves to go on car rides to the local lake with me, my husband and son. He gets in the edge of the water and walks around. We live on a very fixed income. This year we had a large unexpected expense that has happened at the same time as his health issues. We couldn't stand to lose him to these issues. His love is infectious. He's the world to us and seeing him healthy is priority for our family.

Lindy lo

Lindy lo is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever in Humphreys , MO, who needs $350 for Surgery and Biopsy.

Humphreys, MO

Lindy was a breeder dog I was looking for an adult dog for companion ship my husband past away from cancer and my daughter and 4 kids lived with me for a little bit. But they moved and I was alone. I look for ever for a dog in shelters and other places no luck I gave up. And then I tried one more place only doodles. And there she was. Retired labradoodle. And the lady just gave her to me. Lindy, is fairly healthy labradoodle. Until I took her to the vet, and she had a spot on her skin, they tested it. And said it was I mast tumor cancer. I would like to get a second opinion to make sure that's what it is. I just want her fixed. Oh, and she's been spayed. Lindy is a very loving dog. She loves everybody that walks in the door she loves to go outside and run and chase the cats. She don't hurt the cats. She just likes to chase them. She never barks except outside which is kinda funny. Lindy is just a wonderful dog and I don't want to lose her. Me myself, I have had cancer twice. I am on disability and not a lot of money. I can get Lindys basic needs, but this is a big need. My sister just died of cancer to just last year.My husband in 2017 i can't have my dog die of cancer also.

Be Hogan's Hero: Donate Today!

Trenton, MO • Animal Kingdom Rescues

Hogan didn’t show up at a shelter. He didn’t collapse in someone’s yard. He walked into a local firehouse and collapsed—exhausted, emaciated, and alone. Animal control rushed him to the animal hospital of Animal Kingdom Rescue, where he was immediately given emergency care. He was weak, vomiting, and suffering from severe diarrhea. And sadly, no one came to claim him. Extensive bloodwork with repeated follow-ups and a comprehensive diarrhea panel revealed the cause of his suffering had been a liver shunt, which is a life-threatening condition that requires surgery to correct. Without it, his body can’t function properly—and his condition will only worsen. He’s just one year old. One year of fighting to survive. One year without the love and security every dog deserves. Despite everything, Hogan still wags his tail. He still leans in for affection. He still wants to live. Can you help give him the life he deserves? Animal Kingdom Rescue has already spent all of their available funding on his treatment so far. Now, they urgently need your help to give Hogan the surgery he needs to survive. Every donation brings him closer to the healthy and happy life that he’s never known—but so deeply deserves. Please be his hero and give him a second chance. Because every big-hearted pup deserves to grow up, and Animal Kingdom Rescue is guiding him towards healing and, eventually, his forever home. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you.
