Shakira
Shakira is a 16 year old American Shorthair in Bronx , NY, who needs $7,000 for Hospitalization for Diabetic Ketoacidosis.
Bronx, NY
Shakira is a former Bodega Cat. She used to work in the store where my partner Freddy(whom passed away in 2021) used to work. She has been living a happy life here in our home for 9 years after retirement form the bodega. Shakira suddenly started losing weight about 4 weeks ago. After a vet visit & blood work we found that Shakira is diabetic. We immediately began treatment. However, she has now reached a state of diabetic ketoacidosis & needs hospitalization immediately. Shakira is one of the sweetest kitties I've ever owned. She wants nothing but love, lots of pets, and plenty of food. She has 2 brothers that definitely annoy her but gets along with them. It has been a huge struggle recently for all bills due to my own health struggles in the last few years. The hospitalization cost is far outside my budget.

Athena
Athena is a 15 year old Mix-Breed in Jamaica, NY, who needs $2,000 for IV Antibiotic, Pain Meds, Mouthwash, and Labs.

I bot Athena from a gentleman for 10 dollars about 16 to 17 year ago he had a bunch of little kittens running around I was looking and out the corner of my eye I see this little furry kitten she have me a run for my money I finally caught her I ma Ahmed her Athena because it's a strong beautiful name.. She was raised with a dog whom she adores. She needed to be bottle fed Approximately 7 days now she began by laughing in her cat litter.. then some drool and then a little pink drool.. I spent 2 days with her at Blue pear at 330 am I left never saw a supervisor the nurse said she didn't smell anything but there was a bag odor.. on the second day she now had bloody drool.. nothing was done I then put her on my walker and left on train to URvet.. supposedly low icost My Athena is a curious funny and makes me feel good inside. This year she learned to climb on my bed at count 3 I've also woken up with some hair cuts.. She adores her dog friend Roxy she loves her treats.. she is feisty if my family pets her in the wrong spot she nips you and then licks it. I will feel lost if I lose her she's been with me at my worse times her purring began only 3 years ago I am on a very limited income I am unable to get credit... I need her here as my health is failing Athena and Roxy are all I have. I talk to them as they were a live person when I sing out loud she comes running to lick me Athena is my baby please don't let her die..

Suki
Suki is a 11-year-old Siamese Mix Cat in Bayside who needs $2,000 for Gene-Electrochemotherapy.
Bayside
I adopted Suki 11 years ago from KittyKind Shelter in NYC. Suki joined to other shelter cats as a kitten, and they all had developed feline Herpes. The disease caused Suki to get a corneal infection and we went to an ophthalmologist specialist who saved her eye and left a scar. She’s been loving and happy ever since until we received the devastating news that she has feline breast cancer. Suki is a Siamese mix and in her younger days she used steak things like jewelry, hairpins, and other shiny objects and hide them in a box. As she got older she would steal treats when we thought we weren’t looking. Suki is super smart and playful. She always knows when you need a friend and will snuggle up closely when someone needs a hug. She enjoys watching nature shows and getting brushed. Everything about Suki makes me smile. She is the sweetest friend anyone could ever have. She starts her day chasing my feet under the covers, and then will spend about an hour grooming herself as she prides herself on looking pretty. The cutest thing Suki does is after a long hard day of work, she’ll make her famous play time screech and carry a toy in her mouth so she can begin her playtime. Suki has been recently diagnosed with Mammary Adenocarcinoma. I had a radical mastectomy surgery done that I hoped would remove the cancer, but it unfortunately spread. She will now need chemo and ideally a clinical trial of immunotherapy to give her a chance of survival. These treatments are not cheap. She needs 4 treatments of Gene-Electrochemotherapy (4900 each treatment) and regular chemo. I am single pet parent and have suffered several personal losses during Covid which have left me struggling on a fixed budget. These treatments are not cheap, but it is important treatment leading to a cancer vaccine for both pets and people. Please be a hero for Suki.
