Dozer

Dozer is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Warren, RI, who needs $8,000 for ACL Repair.

Warren, RI

Dozer, my son and I live in a family members home. We are all blessed to have access to a beautiful, fenced in yard that both boys enjoy running and playing in! Dozer is a very happy and energetic pup and he is lucky enough to enjoy our fenced in backyard. Sometimes he enjoys it a little bit too much and runs more than he should. Recently he was playing with a friend’s dog and they played just a bit too hard and he tore his ACL. Dozer is more than just a dog — he is family, a best friend, and an emotional support companion for my autistic child. He seems to know exactly when my child needs comfort and has brought so much stability & love into our lives. Now, Dozer needs help. We recently learned he needs a major surgery, and the cost is more than I can manage on my own as a single mom working three jobs. I am a divorced, only parent to my 5 year old son. His disability requires that I have a very flexible schedule so I work 3 part time jobs to make ends meet. I truly have no extra $ and would appreciate ANY help we can get.

Magnolia

Magnolia is a 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier in North Kingston , RI, who needs $2,000 for Cat Scan and Target Radiation.

North Kingston, RI

Magnolia is a Jack Russell / Pit Mix kill shelter rescue, who was abandoned after having puppies at ~ 2 age. After adopting her in 2015, she quickly became my soul dog. 11 years later, she still has the playful energy of a much younger dog and is my whole heart. In summer 2025, Lia developed a rapidly growing mass in her mouth and was diagnosed with oral cancer. She underwent radiation and did incredibly well, but treatment exceeded $10,000. Eight months later, a new mass has appeared in a new area. She is being cared for by the amazing staff at Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services. Lia is the heart of our home. You can find her burying a treat for later, or always sitting right in the middle of the room to keep a loving eye on all her humans. She adores her Lambchop toy, gets excited for every “W” (walk), and never turns down a good snuggle. She’s still full of life, love, and joy, and I want to give her every chance to keep living it. Lia beat this once, and we know she can again. With the new mass, we need to act quickly while it’s small for the best chance for treatment. After losing her sibling just a month ago, she’s our last pup and we want soak in every loving minute we can with her.

Stella

Stella is a 8 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Groton, CT, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy.

Groton, CT

I am a pet care provider, and I started caring for my sweet Stella when she was just a baby. I would frequently care for her on weekends when her former owner would go away. Eventually, her former owner moved and asked me to care for Stella while she got settled, and Stella remained with me permanently after her owner stopped communicating. She became the light of my life. Stella was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor by Dr. Hammond at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Hospital. With radiation therapy she could continue to spread the joy she always does for a lot longer. Stella has a fan club wherever she goes. She has SO much personality. Her sweet smile and chattiness wins everyone over, and it makes people feel good that she is always so excited to see/meet them. She is sassy and spicy, but also very loving and caring, and she always beings a smile to the face of all she meets. She has always been welcoming towards the other dogs temporarily in my care. Radiation therapy is SO expensive, and will also involve a lot of time and effort-3 weeks, M-F, about 2 hrs away. I am single, and I work a second job in addition to.pet sitting. Stella is my roommate and love of my life and keeps me sane. I am not giving up on her.

I am calling in regards to my male cat. He isnt doing well. He is straining to urinate, in pain when jumping down from bed, either going to the litter box multiple times or staying in for long periods of time. Not playful like usual, and the pink in his private is out mostly all the time. Garfield is really a garfield. He is very friendly and always happy. He is always getting into things and being himself playful and joyful. He loves to cuddle and sleep on my kids beds! Unexpected health and loss of income. I am sad to have to ask for help but I know my fur baby deserves it. I have called all local hospitals and tried to get him the best care.

Hickory

Hickory is a 8 year old Beagle in Somerset, MA, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Somerset, MA

Hickory came into our life 8 years ago as a rescue. When we first rescued him, he was very shy and hesitant around people, but he quickly warmed up. Hickory and I quickly became best friends and were inseparable. He has been and continues to be the most affectionate and loving dog to everyone he meets. He is truly the definition of a man’s best friend. Hickory’s current medical condition is a CCL tear and will require surgery to repair. This one is especially difficult giving that he is a tripod pup and is now very limited on what he can/can’t do. Currently, we are working with Bay State Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Services. Hickory is such a tough pup and we know he will bounce back from this. Hickory is such a people person. He loves everyone he comes in contact with but more than anything, he has a special bond with myself and his dog mom. He has been our best friend for so many years. He loves visiting all family members and gets so excited when they come over for visits. He loves when we come home & bring him more toys to play with and absolutely loves to be outside and go on walks. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this was a sudden expense that we weren’t prepared for. Unfortunately we don’t have pet insurance and have to handle all expenses out of pocket. This isn’t a surgery that can wait on, so we didn’t have any time to save more money.

Photo of Smoosh

Smoosh

Smoosh is a 2-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Warwick , RI, who needs $1,500 for Antibiotics, Pain Medication, Possible Surgery (Perineal Urethrostomy).

warwick, RI

I got Smoosh when he was about 6 months old. He was living in a house with 20 other cats and not getting the love and attention he deserved. I quickly began spoiling him with toys, treats and love. He loves snuggling, sleeping, and harassing his sister Tuna. Smoosh is the most loving cat and brings so much happiness and joy into my life. Smoosh and my other cat Tuna enjoy playing with their mouse toys, climbing their cat tree and running through their tunnel. Smoosh loves pets and tummy scratches from his auntie and is always looking for snuggles. He also enjoys knocking things off ledges and trying to eat the cream cheese off my bagels. Smoosh is special because he seems to always know when his mom needs extra love. He senses sadness and anxiety and always comes to lay on me when he knows I need a hug. He has brought back the light in his sister who is an older cat, and has helped her remember how much fun it is to play and chase moths. I brought Smoosh into the Bay State emergency veterinary hospital when he was struggling to pee. He was quickly rushed in when they realized he had a block in his urethra preventing him from peeing and causing a buildup of toxins in his body. His kidney values were very high and his bladder was very full. He stayed at the hospital for 6 days with a catheter, and lots of pain meds. The cost of Smoosh’s care is more than I can afford. I work at a child care center teaching Pre-k and don’t make enough money to be able to pay extra bills. I live alone, and struggle as it is without the added on vet bills
