Ruby
Ruby is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog in Menominee, MI, who needs $6,000 for TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) Surgery.
Menominee, MI
I got Ruby when she was just 7 weeks old. 7 years later, she is still my baby and my best friend. I was going through a hard time in life when I went to see the puppies in town to "make my day a bit better". I never planned to leave with a dog, but the original owners said "she chose me", and she really did. We've been inseparable since. Ruby tore her ACL while playing in our yard a couple of weeks ago. She has not been able to put weight on her leg since, and she is scheduled for TPLO surgery on September 9th at Bayshore Animal Hospital in Marquette, MI. It will be a 4 hour commute for us to receive this surgery! Ruby is such a lover. She plays well with her two cat brothers, enjoys watching the wildlife in the yard and running around like a puppy with tons of energy. She loves to play fetch, swim, go for car rides and lick doggy peanut butter from her lick mat! I work in education and am laid off during the summer. Ruby tore her ACL in the beginning of August. I am playing catch up on bills while trying to figure out how to pay for her TPLO surgery where we are quoted between $5,000-$6,00 after all surgery and appointments are done

Finn
Finn is a 4.5-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Gwinn , MI, who needs $1,800 for Jaw Reconstruction.
Gwinn, MI
Finn came into our lives as an adopted kitten with his twin brother Memphis. He got his name by showing us his favorite way to wrestle his brother, which happen to look like the famous wrestler’s, Finn Balor’s, finishing move. Finn has always been such an easy going cat that wants pets from everyone he sees. He’s so loving and playful. Finn has many activities he enjoys. Of course a few are hunting mice and finding some grass to munch. But his favorite thing to do is cuddle up with his brother. Snuggling up to him, grooming him, and purring into sweet dreams. Memphis and Finn have always been inseparable. They both love batting at balls and finding sun to bath in. But Finn just can’t enjoy his day without his best friend. Without a doubt his best friend is his brother Memphis. His second favorite toy seems to be any hair ties he can find. He finds ways to pull them out of cabinets and off shelves. Just as soon as he gets them he also has to get them wet. Generally by dropping them in his water bowl. The funniest and cutest thing is when he drinks from his water fountain he tries to shove his entire head into it. May 4th 2022 Finn got struck by a vehicle near our home. He had to be rushed to an emergency vet (Gwinn Sawyer Vet) and prayed for to get through the night. His X-rays have found that his right front leg is broken and his jaw is fractured in multiple places. His right eye may need to be extracted and his sinuses reconstructed. Dr. Hunt at Bay Shore Clinic will be doing his surgeries and after care My girlfriend and I have been struggling paycheck to paycheck since buying our house in 2018. Because of all the things that kept breaking and the pandemic laying me off, our savings are gone. No matter what it takes Finn is going to be healthy again and home safe!
