Robin
Robin is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Crouse, NC, who needs $3,000 for TPLO Surgery.
Crouse, NC
A friend picked up a dog that had puppies. And I was not looking for one, but when my neice came in and said she dropped the puppy on her head and it was dead. I got scared. I checked her over and she was limp and lethargic and just ate up in fleas. So I took her to the vet immediately. Luckily no serious Injuries but she now has been in my pack of 4 dogs for 6 years since. Robin injured her leg a year ago in 2025 jumping off the porch. She limped for a week and after some rest was fine. Well March 2026 she came in from outside and was limping. I have no idea how but after 2 weeks I took her to the vet. They tried medicine and it didnt work so they referred her to Bedrock veterinary specialist. This new vet is now saying Robin has a torn ACL and needs a TPLO surgery Robin knows no stranger she loves everyone and everything. She goes with the flow and always wants to be near me. I never have to worry about her getting into anything or causing mischief she is the best girl. She unfortunately gets left out with the other dogs, but I make it up to her and spend one on one time to make her feel special. I am unfortunately living on disability and what I get from working two part time jobs. I am struggling just to keep my head above water, but I always try to do whats best for my dogs. This accident has really put me in a bind and need help to make my baby better again

Joker
Joker is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Shelby, NC, who needs $6,400 for Left Complete CCL tear and Right Anal Sac Mass.
Shelby, NC
Joker came into my life during Covid in 2019. I came home one day and there was this skinny white dog with black spots laying at the door. He barked and whinned because he was scared. My daughter brought him in, picked all the fleas off him and gave him a bath. He has been with me since and is very protected of me. Joker has a Bilateral MPL grade 3/4. Left Complete CCL tear and a Anal sac mass. The name of the hospital is Bedrock Veterinary Specialists in Cornelius, North Carolina. He needs this as soon as possible so he won't be in pain and so the mass won't spread. Both Joker and I are scared of strong thunder storms. He loves my daughter and the cat that was also left here. He likes to sit under the coffee table even those it is to low for him to get under it. He watches TV and protects me from people he doesn't know. Joker loves chewing on leather that's why my pocket book has no strings. I love Joker and I can't see myself without him. It's just me here with Joker and Littlebit(Cat). His leg getting fixed and anal gland being removed would me less vet visits and no more pain medicine. I have no emergency fund or savings. Taking him back and forth to the vet and emergency vet has put a strain on my finances.

Rosie
Rosie is a 5-year-old Pit Bull or Staffy in Charlotte, NC, who needs $2,000 for CCL Surgery.
Charlotte, NC
My fiancé and I found Rosie in the middle of the road one night. It was about 25 degrees outside, so we stopped and she hopped in our car so we took her home for the night. She was skinny, cold and pretty stand-offish. We tried and tried to get her back to her home but with no luck. She eventually started warming up to us and she fell in love with her brother Hank. She’s the BEST dog we’ve ever had Rosie is THE sweetest dog ever. She loves people, kids and dogs. She loves chasing squirrels (which brought us to her torn CCL). She’s the biggest cuddle bug ever and always has to be touching her humans to know we’re there. She also loves to play and run around in the backyard with her brother Hank. She’s even helped his anxiety over the years, never thinking Hank would get along with another dog Whenever in contact with a new human Rosie likes to roll over for belly pets (I mean duh, she deserves them). Also while playing with her brother she likes to surprise attack form behind. She is the sweetest dog we’ve ever had and we got so lucky finding here. Rosie has tested positive for heart worm and has a torn CCL. She has surgery scheduled for her leg, as well as her spay. We are opting to get her the surgery to make her more comfortable in the future, but the total for the surgery is about $5,200, not including the heart worm treatment. Her surgery is scheduled at Bedrock Veterinary Specialists. I recently have also had quite a few medical issues which has been financially hard. Both my fiancé and I work full time, but are both trying to pay off student debts as well as take care of ourselves and our pups. Rosie means the world to us and we just want her healthy.

Hank
Hank is a 6-month-old English Bulldog in High Point, NC, who needs $2,000 for Growth Plate Pinning.
High Point, NC
Our good boy, Hank, is a 6 mo. old English Bulldog puppy. He became a part of our family and home in the midst of our grief, 4 months ago, following the loss of our 18-year-old cat Bailey, two months ago. Our family's current living situation is in a townhome and Hank snuggles with us on our couch or bed everyday. He is crate trained and enjoys going out for short walks and basking in the sunshine Our children's love for Hank knows no bounds, and in return, he showers them with daily doses of his signature sloppy kisses. We are utterly over the moon about the joy and companionship he brings into our home. He has been a pillar of comfort since our senior cat left us and I have spent many a night snuggling his squishy face for comfort. Hank, our endearingly goofy and affectionate dog, has become an integral part of our family. We've affectionately nicknamed him "Hankapotamus" because he truly embodies the essence of a house hippo. Hank delights in playful role-playing, often assuming the guise of a content frog as he lounges on the couch, eagerly awaiting his next snack. His tongue remains playfully outstretched, seemingly poise Hank needs to have his Tibula and Growth Plate pinned back in place. Without this surgery the growth cells will start to die off and he will lose growth in that leg, causing less stability and full usage of that leg later in life. We want to give him the best chance for a normal life and the recommended treatment should restore him to full mobility. He is such a sweet, boy and deserves to be whole This costly surgery is coming at the same time as our youngest medical expenses to get him the therapies he needs to be successful at school and in life and our only other option is to surrender our dog to someone who can get him the surgery he needs.

REX
REX is a 1-year-old Main Coon Mix Cat in Kannapolis, NC, who needs $2,000 for Amputation.
Kannapolis, NC
Rex was found starving and alone as a baby by a rescue 2 and a half hours from me. They took him in and put him up for adoption. I was approved to adopt him, but received an email shortly after saying he had stomatitis. They suggested I look for another pet, but my heart was already with Rex. I waited another month before I was able to go and get my baby. He is now in a loving forever home. Rex loves to interact with all the family members, as he is overly affectionate and needs constant attention, which we love and soak up as much as we can. He loves to play and cuddle with the kids. He tries to love and cuddle our other cat, but she is not so accepting. Gia has so much patience with Rex, as he don't give up trying to be her friend. Rex is a friend to all, human and animal. Rex is such a sweet, overly affectionate cat who loves to constantly rub on you and snuggle. He loves to sleep with me and on me. He is always laying on my lap and following me everywhere. He like to play chase the string or ball with the kids. He loves his bed and toys very much. My favorite is how he loves to jump in the car, lay on my lap and go for a ride to pick the kids up from school. Rex snuck out one morning in the mix of getting 3 children out the door. My neighbor called to tell me he was attacked by 2 dogs. Thankfully he wasn't injured severely. I took him to the vet and they told me his elbow was dislocated. I was referred out to a specialist. He saw us both and gave us our options with all pros and cons available for each. An amazing vet! This is for sure an unexpected financial strain on me as a single mother of 4, who don't have much in savings. What I had was already used for the initial vet visit, x-rays and pain meds. To get Rex help would mean the world to us, he is our family member.

Chopo
Chopo is a 5-month-old American Bully in Norwood, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair of Right Elbow.
Norwood, NC
Chopo was a gift to me and my children. my children were the ones to name him. We have only had Chopo for a month and he fits into our family perfectly. He is an American pocket bully. Chopo is so loving and smart. he loves to make zoo miss outside with my children and loves to go on rides in the car. Chopo sleeps in a crate because although he goes outside to pee he does sometimes make mistakes. He loves to sit on the couch and cuddle. Chopo enjoys to be around people. We once took him into the store and he loved the attention and love he got from people. We also have another dog that has also grown attached to chopo. It’s so cute watching play and make zoomies together. Chopo is special because he is smart and his barks sound like a car with bad brakes. Chopo has beautiful eyes and has the cutest overbite. Being that he is short, chubby, and bow legged it is so funny to see him make his zoomies around the house. We haven’t gotten to learn more about him since we have had him for a short period of time before this accident. Chopo was outside playing and when it was time for him to come in we found him lying at the door trying to stand up. I took him to the veterinary clinic and after X-rays determined that chopo fractured his elbow. The vet sent the X-rays to a veterinary specialist and the doctor there recommended for Chopo to have surgery since it was an articular fracture. I lost my job about a month ago and can’t afford my poor puppy’s surgery. This happened so unexpectedly. I am suppose to start a job in 2 weeks. It would means so much to me but also my children to see chopo lead a life without pain and discomfort.

Roo Roo
Roo Roo is a 4-month-old Calico Kitten in Salisbury , NC, who needs $2,000 for CT Scan.
Salisbury, NC
Roo Roo was born with an abnormal jaw formation through no fault of her own. As she continues to grow without surgery her jaw will become increasingly worse until she will no longer be able to properly eat and she will starve to death. Hen her baby teeth fall out her adult teeth will grow into the soft part of her upper mouth. Roo Roo has been my comfort, my support animal if you would. I am a retired member of the Army and have PTSD. She is always there to cuddle and comfort me whenever I need it. She sleeps with me in bed every night and lays on my shoulder or cups herself around my neck so I continually hear her purring in my ear. Due to my PTSD I have anxiety attacks at times. When this happens she sits on my should or wraps her body around my neck and purrs like a machine. She is my support animal, if you will say. She keeps me calm at night and helps me when I'm having anxiety. I can imagine what i would do without her, or bond is very strong and goes beyond words to explain. She is losing capability of opening her jaw due to her jaw shifting to the left. The is a major disalignment. Her bottom left teeth actually align with the middle of her mouth. Open her baby teeth fall out her adult teeth will start to grown into her upper jaw. The doctors said she needs CT Scan and then surgery. She is a patient at Rowan Animal Hospital. And needs the CT Scan done at Bedrock VeteranerianSpecialists I am an Army Veteran living on a fixed income and am not able to afford the work she needs done. To know that without this proceedure she will die on starvation is killing me inside. I am beside myself with stress and grief.

Bella
Bella is a 8-year-old Pitbull in Concord, NC, who needs $2,000 for TPLO procedure (ACL tear repair).
Concord, NC
I got Bella when she was just about 7 weeks old. She is almost 9 now and has been with me every day! Her name just came to me as soon as I looked at her! ❤️❤️ She has two fur brothers, Jaxson and Felix. Jaxson is a 8 year old Australia Shepard mix…Felix is a 1 year old Pitbull. Bella is a Pitbull as well. They are all my babies and I love them so much! Some of Bella’s favorite things to do are sitting outside in the sun just sunning herself and listening to all the sounds around her. She loves to take walks, go for car rides, play chase and tug ‘o war with her brothers. She is still a very energetic baby girl. She meets everyone at the door with a smile! She has to sleep wherever I am of course! Bella is definitely my BEST FRIEND!! I would do anything to make sure she is ok. When I’ve had a bad day or am upset, she knows and comes to hug me or just be right up next to me to make me feel better. She is super afraid of thunder and loud noises. She loves treats and will let you know when she wants something! She has helped me thru a lot and all I want to do is make sure she is happy and well I took Bella in for a well visit two weeks ago. I was also asking about what I thought was arthritis in her leg. Much to my surprise I found out that she has an ACL tear in her back right leg. I felt awful! If I had any idea it was a painful ACL tear, I would have tried to get her in sooner…so now my heart hurts for her knowing she is hurting. She needs to have the ACL repaired via TPLO surgery. I am looking for help with the expenses because I just had rotator cuff and bicep tendon reattachment surgery! I am out of work 8-12 weeks with NO PAY. My company does not have short term disability. I need for my baby girl to feel better!!! 😔

Diesel
Diesel is a 7-year-old Boxer Mix in Huntersville, NC, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC
Diesel was abused, starving and abandoned. He was rescued by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Control Department. After 2 months and crowding, he was at risk for euthanasia. I was a volunteer at the shelter so I became his foster parent while fostering Mozart. I adopted Mozart first then adopted Diesel. Diesel is the marine officer of the house. He is the first dog to bark at any noise and to protect me if he senses danger. He loves his brother. Diesel is very playful with me, enjoys sitting on my lap and receiving bell rubs from anyone. Unless he hears a noise, he is very quiet and won't pass up a nap. If you give him a squeaky toy, he will have a blast destroying it. Due to Covid-19 and an injury, I am out of work. Diesel is my son and I love him with all of my heart. He takes care of me when I am sick. He sleeps next to me, places his paw on me and sniffs my mouth, eyes, nose and ears. He is in pain and I need him healthy and happy. Diesel tore the Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in his back right leg. and has at least 3 broken teeth. He will need Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy Surgery (TPLO) and dental surgery for extraction/root canal/bonding. Dr. Glen Bonin at Bedrock Vet Specialists in Cornelius, NC will perform the TPLO Surgery, Dr. Gleason from Hambright Vet Hospital in Huntersville, NC will perform dental surgery. He's very nurturing, he loves to cuddle and groom his brother. Diesel enjoys singing, running, jumping and playing with his brother, friends (both canine and human) and has a ton of girlfriends. He really enjoys chasing anything with wheels, especially the maintenance workers golf carts. His idea of fun is rolling in the grass or dirt while sliding down a hill.
