Micco
Micco is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Shelton, WA, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Surgery.

Micco came into our lives 9 years ago. I had dogs before so I knee there was a lot for Micco to learn. Looking back he is the one who taught me so much. When I think of Micco the words that come to mind are power, intelligence and nerves of steel. So many people wanted us to breed him but we couldn't because he had hip and elbow dysplasia. He went everywhere with me including work. Micco had an obstruction that needed immediate surgery. We got him his surgery, a week later he developed ileus where his stomach and intestines weren't working. He was unable to keep any food down. Now he is in need of an exploratory surgery. Micco loves kids and other dogs. He does over 15 tricks. He went through training with someone who trains k9 police dogs. He does basic and advanced commands. I have drained our funds trying to save Micco's life. We have pet insurance but it is also reached its limit. We have also reached out to friends and family for help. We are unable to pay for the last of what we owe and were turned down by care credit.
Asher

We estimated Asher was around 10 weeks when we got him. His previous owner could not keep him and we fell in love with him instantly. He's a very wild and out going pup with full of energy. He's very sweet and just wants to play all the time. He's a big baby and does not like being left alone at all. He's grown up around cats and kids and is very friendly to everyone he meets. We are in need of getting him x rays or mri. He is so quick and because he's still a pup he hadn't learned to stay away from vehicles yet. He got hit by a truck around 2 weeks ago and he still can't walk on his back leg. We think he could have a dislocated hip. I am on a fixed ssi income and in desperate need of help to get him seen and get him help. He's very energetic. He loves to play, he's good with kids and cats. Although sometimes he likes to chase the cats to play with them. Lol. But everyone he meets he's friendly with, especially anyone who will give him attention. He listens when he wants to majority of the time but he's working on getting better at that We think he might have a dislocated hip from accidentally being hit by a truck. One second he was standing next to us and the next he wasn't. I'm on a fixed ssi income and can't afford this emergency vet bill but I know he needs to be treated as soon as possible.

I found Sierra through a Facebook post. Her pic was like one of those paintings where the eyes seem to follow you -- every time I tried to scroll past it, her eyes caught me. I didn't think I was ready to bring a new cat into my life after losing my last one, but I was moved by Sierra's story. She badly needed a calm, safe new home. I gave her one, and we've been happy together for 10 years. My sweet girl is an old lady now, being treated for hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and arthritis. She's in good shape and good spirits despite all that! But last year she developed a cancerous tumor in her mouth. We had it surgically removed twice. Next time, her vet Dr. Parshley at OVS Oncology wants to try nanoparticle-enhanced laser therapy, a cutting-edge treatment she's had success with. Sierra is used to being doted on so she can be a little demanding, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're often together as I work from home -- she's on my desk in one of her heated kitty beds curled up between my arms as I write this. She sleeps next to my pillow at night. I love her so much and want to give her every chance to live the longest life possible and be happy and comfortable. Unfortunately, Sierra's health issues came at a time when I can only work part time, and the medical bills have exhausted my financial resources. Although I've become extremely frugal, I'm running out of things I can give up to pay for her care.
